  1. If there was a concern about the bolts and the ride structure being held in place, then the ride would not have been running. They wouldn't risk the safety of the riders.
  2. Wow, they're starting early on clearing out trees for the next ride! We must be getting something REALLY BIG in two years, or something next year. . That would be sooo cool!!!
  3. Ewwwwww. Creeeeepy . Anyways, AWESOME trip report Jackson. I kept looking for you while I was in line for DB and then during the rest of the day, but I never saw you. What all did you recieve from the park for your bid? Also, what did they serve you for breakfast?
  4. Yeah, I was talking about today at the private event. Was there a wait in a temporary queue, or just the normal queue. If it was just the normal queue, then yeah, the SRL would be nice. It'd be a pretty much walk on for DB. How were other waits at the park?
  5. Why, is that Ryan being 'featured' in the poster?
  6. I may possibly have an extra shirt, size XL. How much are you willing to pay? . No, seriously .
  7. ^I don't think it's park policy to not help someone get the restraint down. I saw two rides ops pushing on the same restraint trying to get it down far enough (I forget which ride). But that was a couple years ago, so policies could've changed. And yeah, they do have a computer in the drive box booth area, because the person working there would day which rows have to be checked again or pushed down more.
  8. Was the park very crowded today? Also, was the entire DB queue filled?
  9. I don't know about 80s, but I did hear about 75 for Friday and 77 for Saturday. Hope the forcast holds, even though I can't go.
  10. I think you mean you could not care less. Diamondback FOF, just doin' Terpy's job while he isn't here. What about Sheikra and Griffon. Don't you mean first B&M hyper with a splashdown? Sorry, that was irking me .
  11. Sorry, I didn't buy any of my onride photos yesterday. Also, all of my pictures looked REALLY aweful. Plus, I am too lazy to take the time and upload them to photobucket. But, you photos are pretty sweet.
  12. Those photos are great. Thanks for posting them! It is amazing to see how the first photo of each of your posts is different from the last photo of your first post. It's kinda sad to see all of those trees gone.
  13. I thought that seemed a week or two late.
  14. Yes. Diamondback FOF, who just HAD to. But yeah, September 26 seems really late to start Haunt this year.
  15. Couple things. Yes, people were jsut having to hold up their pass. But then, when you would go through the opening in the gates, they were checking passes, or at least when I went through. Secondly, "nothing sets it apart." Are you kidding me? First of all, have you seen the water in the middle of Rivertown? Or the little splash that is made as a train passes through? Diamondback has a freakin' splashdown! How many other hyper coasters, or even coasters in the world for that matter, have a splashdown? How many other coasters have the seating that Diamondback has? Yes, loops could've been used, but that would have changed the entire ride! Yes, tunnels could've been used, but where? You can't cover a 130+ ft. hill with a tunnel! If you want a ride with a loop, then ride one of the other five rides in the park that goes upside down. If you want a tunnel, then ride one of the other four or five rides in the park that have a tunnel. I'm sorry for kinda going off, something 'groundbreaking' is not what KI was going for. You got possibly the best ride that there is for the type of ride we recieved.
  16. Umm. I told my mom to do that when she went and got a pedicure on Friday. I was just joking though.
  17. Yeah, that is what I first thought. But, when I was in the regular queue with my family, I saw someone lift up the gate and go through the SRL, so that is what I did after my sister and niece left, since my mom doesn't ride.
  18. I think the SRL was open all day. They just keep the little gate colsed, so when you enter the line, you just have to lift up the gate.
  19. Are these Fridays usually pretty empty? I know there haven't been any this year, but in terms of in past years, how have they been?
  20. We were right by the bathroom exit. (The bathrooms by BLSC). The exit I am talking about is the one the goes down to the path between BLSC and DB, as seen in the above picture. From there, it was about 2.5 hours. actually, it was probably a little further back, just beyond the bend in the fence.
  21. Yeah, my arm that was on the outside got quite wet too. I was going to see how wet I could get, but I was afraid the water coming up may be quite forceful and maybe do some damage, like give me a big bruise, or if my arm was bent and hit the right way, maybe even dislocate my shoulder.
  22. How did you get on that quick? Because even for the single riders line, don't you have to wait in the line that extrends back into Rivertown/NU? I mean, 10 minutes is rediculous! The first time I just waited from "The Snake Pit" and the whole queue was empty, the second and third time I waited from the restrooms in Nickelodeon Universe to the entrance sign and got in the single riders entrance. The fourth time the queue was only about 3/4 the way full and they were loading fast. The last time the whole queue was filled along with the temporary queue, we got in line about 5 minutes before the fireworks started so we were on the fourth to last train. When was the DB que not even filled up all the way? Every time I saw it, the regular queue was filled plus the line stretched out into the midway.
  23. Ok, that is what I thought and what I did yesterday. BTW, if it is kinda chilly out, then make sure you put your arms in front of you on the restraint, because if you hold them up, then the one on the outside of the train WILL get wet, VERY wet. Next time you go through the line, ask the person that assigns the seat to sot in the back row. That is what I did both times.
  24. Yes, I really do think something new will be added, unless one of a couple things happen. First off, we may get a new ride (another roller coaster or thrill ride) in two years, so that would be 2011. If so, I doubt we'll see a new ride in 2012, unless it is a small flat. Or, something REALLY bad could happen with the economy or CF's money situation, so nothing new would be added. I reall hope the latter of the two happen, but you just never know. Also, if we get another descent sized coaster for 2011, then that mean that by the time KI closes at the end of this season, we may be seeing preliminary things happen, like trees being removed. Remember, it was the end of 2007 when stuff for DB started to hppen.
