My high was 270 lb 2 years ago. I have ridden everything at CP last year with only minor struggle on Wicked Twister late in the season. My goal is to get to a point where there is ZERO issues. I think another 20lbs will do that. As to DB & I232 at CW. They are the same seats so if you were a no go on Intimidator, chances are you will be on DB too.

I don't think anyone will disagree that the layout in the composition looks a little uninspired. This as we know does not indicate that the ride itself will or won't be great. I am only judging the layout on the paper not the ride itself. My views are my own. I am not trying to push them on anyone. Even though I don't care for I305, I feel that people should make their own determination after riding it. It is anything but boring.

So far I have never had to do a walk of shame. I see other people doing them and truly feel for them. Some should know that they won't fit, but others appear that they would only to find it a no go. My goal is to drop another 20 lbs. Going to the parks and eating out makes it so much harder to do though.

Todd, I am glad that I could impress you.

I am a fairly big guy and often have to come close to being stapled on certain coasters. Last year Diamondback was never an issue. This year I noticed that the restraints felt a lot tighter on me then last year even though my weight is with a few pound from last year. I also noticed a few other of us big guys that were easily able to fit last year struggling yesterday. Did anyone else feel that the restraints were tighter? I guess it is time to kick the diet into high gear and drop some poundage.

Diamondback has never had much of a roar compared to other B&M coasters. At other parks you could hear a B&M running from just about any corner of the park. At KI you often couldn't hear if even if you were underneath the ride.

Hmmm that is the one that was made famous on Youtube before it got pulled.

While I understand that the composition is from a limited amount of data, I think it looks rather boring. Five long straight sections? Multiple LIM launches?

Timberliners Delayed
DaveStroem replied to DaveStroem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
There is only 1 of the original 3 PTC trains left at HW to put on Voyage. They are replacing 3 PTC trains with 2 Timberliners. The way that I read it, the PTC train will be used on the 2 weekends before May 14th. The quotes do not say one train operations here, but Paula has said that on Coasterbuzz. -
It has been announced by both Gravity Group and Holiday World that the Timerliners are delayed. http://www.facebook....itygroup?ref=ts http://www.facebook....dayWorld?ref=ts Since two of the PTC trains have been sold to Darien lake for use on Preditor, this means that their will only be one train operations on Voyage for the first two weeks of the season.

I still have 2 hours before I can leave and then 1 1/2-2 hour drive.

Are There FREE Handouts For Season Pass Holders Opening Day?
DaveStroem replied to PKISecurity's topic in Kings Island
So is anyone at the park? Did they give you anything other then a great ride on Diamondback? -
Well this really increases the chance of us doing the non-Disney Florida parks next year as our big trip. SoCal and Texas are the other 2 trips in the running.
-
That offer was for L&N customers. If you are one (or your folks) give them a call and see if they are offering it this year.

They were still giving away those CF jackets last year at CP to those that purchased a season pass. -
I have always enjoyed Embassy Suites. They generally have an awesome breakfast included. The one in Atlanta (centennial park) has their's in what is Ruths Chris for Dinner.

How do they get away with calling this a new ride, this is Serial Thriller from Astroworld. Where do they get the $10 million dollar number from too? Being a moved ride that originally opened in 1999 I don't see how the can call it a $10 million dollar investment in La Ronde. I wonder if it will be any better then other SLCs since it is a fresh installation?
-
Has anyone been on an Intamin Stand Up? I see that there are only 2 left with one being at La Ronde and the other in England. How do they compare to the B&Ms?
-
I could also see the the Columbus Zoo adding some big boy rides to the Jungle Jack's Landing area. I think I will email JJL manager to put a bug in his ear about this. Unlike the first go round, everyone knows what freestyle paid for the park. I think a lot of people in the industry were surprised that the winning bid was so low. This time around I can not see the attractions staying put. So how much does it cost to move a steel coaster? I can't think it comes any where close to that of a wood one.

The only issue I have had is with the parking on my SF pass. SFoG made me pay and get a refund, and SFA it came up as invalid, but she just waved me by.

Another trim on I305?
DaveStroem replied to gigacoaster2k's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
http://coasterbuzz.c...read/57204.aspx Angie, I totally believe you that you grayed out on MF, I have too. While I feel that graying out is not a good thing on any ride on I305 is seems to be happening to more people then on MF. On KDFansite they ran a poll where 65% of respondents say the grayed out and 13% say they blacked out. That is 78% that had a G-force effected lose of function. My real concern is not the gray out but the blackouts combined with the aggressive transitions. Many have said to just ride them defensively to avoid head banging, that is impossible to do if your unconscious. Funny how CP hasn't trimmed MF yet as a result of anyone greying/blacking out & yet all of a sudden everyone is speculating that they will do so on I305. If you read my post, you would understand. MF does not have the transitions that I305 has. You do not have to ride MF defensively at all. That is why I feel they need to do something to lessen the effect on the first turn. If slowing the lift or the last 1/4 of the lift would do it then that would be great if not I can almost guarantee that it will be trimmed. -
Hmmm, I have been on dark rides that have things jumping out at you & Wild Mouses (3 different ones at that) in the last 2 weeks. Mirrored mazes last year at the haunts. So I guess I don't really miss them at all. I do miss the walk through fun house at Cedar Point that had a twisting slide at the end.
