  1. If Terpy makes fun of you, that means that you still have his respect. When you are ignored is when to worry. Your comment about higher class parks does rub me a bit the wrong way. Could you elaborate?
  2. I would be 1-2 trips. We currently hit a ton of parks and that too would probably come to an end. Right now between SF & CF you can plan out some great trips. Yet one with out the other would take them both out of the budget.
  3. Yep says that the whole drop is trimmed. They also said that the soft strap OTSR are no longer on the test seat. Now I wonder if with the trim if they even need the OTSR.
  4. We are the guest that are spending our hard earned money to buy their passes. In exchange for our money we get to go to their parks. When they take our money and then tell us that we can't get in we certainly have a right to be upset. When the further this by insulting us and calling us liars this tends to get even the most mild mannered of us into a tizzy. I don't think it is too much to ask for that they deliver the service that they have accepted payment for. You mention CF getting irritated, give me a break. Lately they couldn't give a rats butt about what the consumer thinks about them and the way they run their parks. While you are correct that getting indignant with the person that is just trying to do their job will not get you far, those that can get things fixed are not doing their jobs. Gotta love spell checker
  5. What's a matter with kids these days. They were being taken on an adventure to Great Adventure and they complained about it.
  6. I doubt that the I305 facebook page is actually associated with the park. Clint Novak from KDFansite and Coaster Crew reported on some work being done on the first drop today.
  7. I think they should rename the ride for a few weeks and call it Red Ravage.
  8. The park has been open on every Friday since opening weekend.
  9. Jackson, I couldn't agree more. Then to actually admit to it and give a detailed explanation about what has to be done to put the Raven train on the Voyage.
  10. Bonus video of the Timberliners Testing
  11. Holiday World will be running one of the Raven trains on Voyage. Kudos to Will and the gang.
  12. I was able to ride everything at 6', 240 and a 40" waist. I did need a bit of help getting the buckles closed but only because the twisting motion to fasten them takes you out of your seat a bit. These were with some of the new belts too. From some of the reports I am tending to think that there is no constancy in the length of these new belt.
  13. Thunderbeast, the Timberliners were supposed to be on the Voyage from the beginning of the season May 1st. They announced a delay with an anticipated date of May 14th. They have now said that they will not be available for the next two weekends. I am not upset that the Timberliners are not ready, but a little disappointed. My concern has to do with the 1 train operation on the best coaster on the planet. Here is an image of the damage that the Timberliners got supposedly from a loose bag of corn.
  14. They are now getting close to Holiwood Nights. If they are not ready for this I wouldn't be surprised to see some heads roll.
  15. I find the SF passes to be a great bargain at the current prices and would still consider them to be at $10 more. I could even see spending up to $100 for an all park pass that included parking. I don't think I would get a CF PP at $140-$160 if it were not for the fact that I live half way between KI and CP. Since the nearest SF park is 7-8 hours I would have to think long and hard about getting one for what CF charges. I would bet that they will go up next year, but I doubt it will be a huge increase.
  16. Sorry, I should have said oldest operating woodie in Ohio.
  17. Thanks for the TPR. It looks like you had a blast. One of these days maybe.
  18. Not 550, it is only going to be 540' Maggie is 205', Millie is 310' and TTD is 420' so the next one has to be 540'. I also heard it will be an inverted flume with a launch BTW nice TR.
  19. Have you been to the Columbus Zoo? Did you know it has been this way for over 50 years? Their was originally 2 separate parks. There was the Columbus Zoo and Zoo Park with the latter being a small amusement park. Zoo Park had nothing to do with the Columbus Zoo. In latter days Zoo Park became Wyandot Lake and then became part of Six Flags. Two years ago the Zoo purchased Wyandot Lake and inc operated it into the Zoo. Most of the rides are in a separate area from the animals and in no way affects the atmosphere. The only rides that in the animal area are the Train, the boat ride in the Asia area and the carousel that was once at Olentangy Park. BTW, the Jet (sea dragon) roller coaster is the oldest operating coaster in Ohio. This was my first coaster and why I can't bring myself to call it by it's new name. To me it will always be the Jet.
  20. Glad to see you had a blast at HW. We discovered a little trick about the guns at Gobblers Getaway. The beam is not in the center of the gun.
  21. Monster Mansion and Acrophobia are not to be missed. The other one that we were surprised by was Shake Rattle & Roll. It is an indoor scrambler but don't let that fool you, it packs quite a punch. Depending if you already have a pass and if your pass has parking, there is a private parking lot that is $5 more then regular parking but is right across from the park entrance. I only mention this because many think it is an official lot and feel like they have gotten tricked into spending the extra $ but others like the fact that is is closer to the gate.
  22. It might be the fact that we have been on coasters with trims on the first drop. That and first hill VS second hill is a big difference and an even bigger one on I305.
  23. I think the only "fix" would be a larger first turn. With the first turn being on the ground, there isn't a first hill to burn off some speed like on MF. Just another bad design from Intamin.
  24. A friend and fellow KICer is at KD and has reported that they have added a trim to the first drop on I305. While I thought the ride was too intense, putting a trim on the first drop will kill any ride. This is just poor design that pushed the envelope too far and to bring it back in they have killed the ride. I am not surprised at all. I am glad I got to ride it with out the first drop trim.
  25. I would love to see them update JJL with some adult rides including a larger coaster & a Drop Tower. From what I was told, that the flume was supposed to be themed and have a mountain around it, but they ran out of $$$ for the project.
