  1. Here I thought that a large group of British tourist were heading to KI.
  2. Superloops, you did a great job with your TR and even more so because it was your first. I honestly was confused as I thought you were at the park today, till I read the last line. Glad you had such a great day at the park.
  3. I am confused, did you go on 6/9/2010 (today) as the title indicates and if so how did you finish at 8:30 when it is only 5 now?
  4. Shaggy, do you consider Splash Mountain to be a dark ride?
  5. That would be 1:2 Right/Left or 1:2 Load/Exit.
  6. Did you get to ride Cedar Down? That is one of my favorites at CP.
  7. Pat was back at the park greeting guests Sunday morning at the park opening. I got my hug then before we headed south.
  8. Can I have a park instead of just a ride? I vote for Freestyle Music Park/Hard Rock Park. The grounds were beautiful and the rides were a lot of fun. It is a shame that the management couldn't make a go of it.
  9. Read more from http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2010/06/01/for-new-luna-park-rave-reviews-and-an-echo-of-coney-islands-violent-past/ Still trying to decide if we want to go on our big coaster trip. This story doesn't help.
  10. Depending on when you are going, if you ride in the front keep your mouth closed. We are just a week or so away from the mufflehead/may fly invasion at Cedar Point. When they in full force, you will come back from a front seat ride covered with bug carcasses. Where a dark shirt too.
  11. I think your right Terp. I still think that the collection from Hardrock/Freestyle would fit in perfectly at HW. If they don't I hope that they do get sold and put in a park for people to enjoy. I loved their mine ride (Iron Horse). I could also see these working at KK if they get that going again.
  12. We did 3 park yesterday. I had no issues spending $2.25 for a cheeseburger, $1.50 for a hotdog and $5 for an order of chicken fingers that had 4-5 large pieces. Of course that was at Stricker's Grove and not a CF park. If CF wants my nickels, they have to give me value. Value does not necessarily mean cheaper prices but quality for the dollar. OTOH cheaper prices on certain items would work too.
  13. Here are a few photos that I took with my phone.
  14. As to routes from CP to KI. I would take 250 to I-71 and then straight down to KI. It is 2 1/2 hours to downtown Columbus and another 1 1/2 to KI. It may be a few more miles, but it is on the interstate for more of the ride.
  15. I got the call. Personally I was not thrilled. It came to my cell phone which costs me minutes. I think it ranks right up there with getting junk faxes or text messages.
  16. I had something similar happen on Drop Tower. I rode once and was able to get the strap buckled with some slack. Rode it later and in a different seat had to have someone else struggle to get it latched.
  17. If that is true it will really suck. We are going up Monday and I was hoping to ride it. I will still take some swim trunks along in the hope that it is open. I learned last weekend that getting really wet (WWC) and walking around the park left me chaffed.
  18. But IF it does re-open, lets hope they get Stella and Lola open again.
  19. Glad you had fun at HW I am looking forward to HWN for some ERT on Wildebeest. I am on able to see about 2/3 of your photos though.
  20. So we have a new coaster that goes upside down and does not have OTSR while the one in VA that does not have any inversions does. I am getting excited about Sky Rocket now. I already have my tickets to Kennywood.
  21. The Wildcat was running extremely smooth last week. We all were pretty WOWed by it. Even my wife liked it.
  22. I must have heard that the park was closing at 8:00 PM at least 10 times if not more.
  23. Cool, my question was answered and it sounds like they will do something like this.
  24. For its time, I think that Enchanted Voyage was equally themed. I remember feeling like I was in another world. Truly transported. At the time it was my favorite ride in the whole park. Now I don't think it would hold up to today's standards just like watching the original Star Wars compared to todays CGI.
