My Bright Idea for what to do with Son of Beast
I was NOT in anyway trying to be mean. I'm very sorry if you do feel like I was being mean. Back on topic. Stengel designed the ride and was manufactured by RCCA and the trains were by Premier rides. I'm not sure that is entirely correct but I also saw this. http://www.themepark...me/200911/1529/

My Bright Idea for what to do with Son of Beast
Carbon fiber is not cheap. It's actually very expensive. Anyways carbon fiber does not bend much it shatters like glass. Bad Idea.

Kings Island New Website
I like the new International Street webcam! But The Racer cam is still messed up.

Kings Island's 5@5 Q&A Thread
I bet over 99% of the guests that look at those numbers probably think the same thing too.

Kings Island's 5@5 Q&A Thread
You do not experience negative g's going up and you do not experience negative g's when you drop. You free fall which is zero g's.

Ride Rides... In Your Home!?
That's exactly what I was thinking, it's just that I would replace ALL of the chairs in my house with the seats from DB haha Write a letter to B&M asking if you could buy a seat

My Bright Idea for what to do with Son of Beast
I'm not an expert either on this but I'm actually very interested. In my opinion replacing the track with the "iron horse" is a bad idea. Vibrations travel faster through steel then wood and that would transfer to the structure causing even more damage. The steel track is said to be similar in weight to the traditional 9 layers of wood. If it was lighter they would of said so. Son of Beast does not need more weight on the ride structure. But the steel track would really help track gauging which is a problem too (someone back me up on this?) Steel is a lot more flexible then wood which will cause the track to even to move more. If I imagined in my head seeing Son of Beast with a steel track I can not seeing it work out (yes I know there are other rides that have a steel track with a wooden structure). I look at things differently when it comes to structures I think then other people do. Like I said at the beginning of my post I'm not an expert on this so please correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry for two posts in a row.

My Bright Idea for what to do with Son of Beast
Are you kidding? http://www.rcdb.com/6857.htm http://www.rcstengel.com/ They have done work on some of the best rides in the world. A few they have worked on... Millennium Force Fahrenheit Saw - The Ride Maverick and many many more. I think it's around 500 different rides.

Free falling is negative g's?

Flight Deck
Dig a bigger trench! But I'm sure there would be a height requirement. It would be cool but not the price. Trains are definitely not cheap. If they do add floorless trains they might have to modify the station so it could be like Invertigo which is also not cheap.

Flight Deck
Like this? As well as rename it Afterburn. It would be a new ride, at least to the GP. Or you could name it Son of a Gun! Just kidding I totally agree with you. I love night rides on Flight Deck plus after 8ish the ride is like dead you can ride it over and over and never get up.

Flight Deck
I don't think Flight Deck is going anywhere within the next five years or longer. What's the point? It really is a great ride even though it's short. It does need a paint job badly and hopefully the ride does gets a paint job over the next off season. I don't understand why people say it's reaching the end of it's life. I have seen Flight Deck have longer waits then Diamondback quite a few times but yes Diamondback has better capacity then Flight Deck. Diamondback's hourly capacity is 1620. That I know of Diamondback has only came close to reaching that a couple times. I was actually there when they broke the record and it was ridiculous. They literally push you in and out of the station. Flight Deck has a hourly capacity of 1200. They could not be that much different unless Diamondback was having a power hour.

Beast with Water!
Yes I know that I should of been a little more specific in my post. But I do agree that The Beast should run two trains during rain mode and there is no reason not too.

Beast with Water!
A ride operates in rain mode for a reason. It has nothing to do with the maintenance crew it's about safety. When The Beast train had it's accident in 2001 it was rain related. Sheikra has magnetic brakes (but so does The Beast) that are fail safe and are capable of being used in the rain. Friction brakes are not the safest in the rain. Rides can also hydroplane and could possibly collide into another train. Rain mode is annoying but it's better to be safe.

Firehawk
If you listened to the interview of Brian kosmac on "In The Loop" he explained why the ride has so many problems and it is hard to fix. If the sensors are off even a millimeter in the station the ride can't not operate. Everything shuts down (I believe) Aligning those sensors are really hard. Kosmac said it was hard to tell why this problem is so frequent and they still have not figured out the problem.

Diamondback Web-Cam Idea
If they would have a camera up close in the line it's not like they would have those "idiots" on tape But I do remember The Diamondback webcam on Vortex a few weeks before opening day showing it's new paint job and I also remember it showing The Racer.

OFFICIAL! Son of Beast Will NOT Operate in 2010
I am one who has gotten beat more in any ride on The Beast than SoB They are both rough. Son of Beast really hurts my tailbone and back except when I ride in the front seat. The Beast when I ride in certain seats hurts my ribs and my sides but I still really love it.

That is so stupid no one has ever died on Diamondback. Diamondback has never had any accidents at all.

Terminator Salvation at SFMM is also built to withstand earthquakes but I wouldn't consider it an engineering marvel. SOB took existing technology to a new level much the same way KK and TTD were when they opened which IMO they are. You wouldn't consider Terminator Salvation and Fireball a engineering "marvel"? I sure would. I don't know of any other wooden coasters that can withstand strong earthquakes. The last wooden coaster I would ride after a earthquake would be Son of Beast. It is true that Son of Beast, Top thrill dragster, and Kingda ka set a new level but I wouldn't put them on my reliable list either.

The builder cheaply constructed it? Well I hope your kidding. The ride cost 15 million dollars in 2000 now it would be around 20 million. I have seen pictures of Son of Beast in the middle and it does look amazing but the engineering was poorly done.
