  1. With all due respect markr, there isn't room. I've not even been to the park yet, but have seen the layout of the station through pictures and can realize that there isn't room. To add bins, they'd have to expand the station a bit. While I appreciate your efforts to let the park know your displeasure with the lack of bins in the Banshee station, they will take note, but they won't change the fact there aren't bins. I understand the fact that there are guests who need to bring things with them such as those with Diabetes. To those who require medical things in line and/or hydration, they need to go to Guest Services to request the ability to keep these items with them in line. It's not going to do any good for them to go, get asked to purchase a locker, then complain about how unfair they were treated because they weren't told when they got to the park they would need to purchase a locker. In a day and age where all kinds of info is online (check out Plan Your Day on KI's website under the FAQ for loose articles), I find it hard to believe that people are so unaware that they can't bring items with them in line for Banshee. Firehawk has had this policy since it opened and there is not as huge of a public outcry as there is for Banshee. There's no difference. There isn't room in either station. For those who have a medical condition where they may need something while in line check even though your condition may or may not be a disability: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/plan-a-visit/guests-with-disabilities
  2. Club Blood has been on the way out for years. It's pitiful. Not saying it's for sure gone. I would say that even though the decorations are still up on the building, doesn't mean they won't be later on in the year. It's not a building that's constantly being accessed nor used aside from Haunt (used for storage during the normal season). I do agree, I'd like to see a phobia type maze.
  3. It's not like the ride only has 2 trains. When one is in the station, one is in the bowl and one is at the unload station, if they are using 3 train op. If they didn't have the unload station, they wouldn't let people load the train until those leaving the ride were out of the station still creating more time. I get what you're saying but in the case of Flight of Fear there are such things as blocks, as are needed on on roller coasters. There has to be an open block in front of the train to be able to progress forward. Removing the unload station, you'd be down 5 block breaks. You'd have one in the station, one in the middle of the first loop, one at the block brakes to the trim brakes (midcourse), trim breaks to the ready breaks into the main station. When you go down to 5 sections, there's going to be always one train stopped to wait for the next block to open, which results in waiting provided a 3 train op.
  4. They do have about $900,000 to use for the next budget. They announced in February of this year, 15,000 season passes were already bought at the $60.00 price tag. $900,000 to use to pay the bills, employees, put toward capital, etc. http://www.wave3.com/story/24833347/major-progress-at-kentucky-kingdom-gates-to-open-soon
  5. After each day crews go change out locks and often look for articles that may have dropped and take them to Lost And Found. It is sometimes hard to see the lost items after dark, so if they see something in the morning they'll grab it. The best way to retrieve is to go to lost and found to report your item missing. If they don't find it by 11 o'clock on nights that the park closes at 10, then they'll look for it in the morning. Check back on your next visit with Lost and Found. Do know that it's not a guaranteed thing that they'll find it. Honestly phones when they fall from a coaster, shatter pretty drastically. And I'm sure you're aware, the park isn't responsible for the items if lost.
  6. I hope it's just changing seats. If I wander out of the station/exit, I'll be likely to head elsewhere at the park.
  7. At this moment, 47 people of those registered have raised the minimum to participate. Not saying they rest don't have the offline donations or are still waiting for donations to come in. I'm wondering if those who are non-riders raising funds are on the site as well for the event.
  8. It smelt like gas.....then it smelt like rubber....one can argue they don't smell the same.
  9. Lol, I could see that being the reason. Yes arches are one of the strongest shapes, from what I understand that's why in the event of earthquakes they suggest you go into doorways. I thought Skyrush did not look safe because of the lack of supports, so I could see that point. Sent from the electronic piece of equipment known as the iPad using Tapatalk
  10. What about the lift hill, that doesn't look safe to you?
  11. On Google Chrome, every so often it's telling me that KICentral.com/forums cannot be found. I've cleared out cookies and all that jazz and still keep finding this error.
  12. Jonathan you're just finding ways to not like my username!
  13. That link sends me directly to my profile, not to the intended video.
  14. I personally think the front seat of the Grand Carousel is the best.
  15. I'm honestly torn. My appetite fluctuates severely. Some days I can't have enough food and some days I don't want to even eat. Hah. But I may do the Big Meal on Saturday and get a snack to see how that goes. For Monday depending on how it worked Saturday I may get the all day deal. Thanks for your input!
  16. Thanks for that info Terp. I can't justify paying $72 for just KI all season long when I'll be visiting other parks this summer and will be purchasing food there. So maybe I'll just do the all day dining pass for the $29.99 on Saturday/Monday since I'll get food provided on Sunday (one meal). Hmm.
  17. Sorry to bump the thread, this was the most relevant I could find. Have a few questions maybe some of you can answer. How many of you have the season long dining plan? Do you like it? If you have a Platinum Pass can you use it at other parks? What do you think of the worth? How many of you purchase the all day dining pass? What made you do that vs. season long dining plan (assuming you reading this visits the park at least more than once a season)? I'm trying to debate what to do since I'll be at the park Saturday-Monday, which plan to purchase. With Coasting For Kids, we have a meal provided on Sunday.
  18. That's a big Negative. Remember Girrafica/Pilgrims Plunge?
  19. I thought the cut off was Saturday evening. I just searched through my email from last years event and we got the email the Friday before. I'm a bit anxious, ready for this event.
  20. Has anyone heard when final information will be released for Coasting For Kids weekend? I can't remember when we got it last year.
  21. OO no fun! I still don't believe any other restraints to date are as uncomfortable as Skyrush's restraints.
