Reading this thread kind of makes me a little nervous about riding for the first time next weekend, but at the same time not. Not saying the tightening doesn't happen, but I'm wondering how many people have actually experienced the tightening vs thinking it's tightening because they've heard that the same style restraint on Gatekeeper used to tighten. I'm so ready to ride though!

Guessing the ride ops didn't see you waving to tell them to stop the ride while you were at the top of the tower, or even 2/3rd of the way up. The general public has ruined that aspect for riders who are really scared or upset by crying wolf when there's nothing wrong. Not saying it didn't happen, but I find it hard to believe the seats extended 30 more degrees with the dampers that were installed after the first set of issues of seats bumping into riders. I can't say what happened for sure because I wasn't on the same ride as you, but it was safe to operate the ride or the system wouldn't have let it operate with the wind speeds.

From what I understood yes. I'd call the park to see for sure if you plan on bringing someone on a Saturday or Sunday.

For anyone wondering, I called today (Friday) and verified that if you have a Gold or Platinum Pass you can bring a friend with you for $37.99 Monday-Friday that is a public operating day. If you have a question about a specific day, call the park!

It says and $37.99 each on other public operating days. Didn't know if anyone here has had experience with it or if anyone has found out it's specific days not listed.

Just had a malware threat pop up when clicking through the forums. This was the only one that I seemed to find.

I love Zoombezi Bay! I find it hard to go around the old lazy river, now the adult one, as I remember walking up a bit further and down the midway to ride some of the old rides there. Each time I visit, I try to find some of the original Wyandot Lake attraction remnants, etc. The adult lazy river should have honestly been taken out, the water hardly flows anymore, so you have to pretty much push yourself around it and none of the water features work. I love the Sea Dragon! I think that the tilt-a-whirl in Jungle Jack's Landing is the best one I've ever been on!

I don't understand stock! I have opted in to having money taken out of my payroll check to go to purchasing stock. Aside from that, I have no clue what to do. That's probably an ESPP, which is a totally different story... and a heck of a deal.

Mr. Nickle retired Jan 2, 2012, Ouimet started that year. Disaster Transport/Space Spiral were in place to be removed before Ouimet started I'm fairly sure. I'm pretty positive we didn't get the whole story for WildCat and Paddlewheel was removed in 2011. All I'm 99% positive were in plans with Mr. Nickle.

According to a friend of mine who was a ride operator last season, Eiffel Tower and Grand Carousel are one crew, and Boo Blasters is paired with three small Snoopy attractions. Both crews are in "Planet Snoopy" though, and therefore cross training is probably common. Correct! Boo Blasters on Boo Hill is in a section of Planet Snoopy called North Pie, with Charlie Brown's Wind Up, The Great Pumpkin Coaster and Character Carousel!

They can only focus on the waterpark so much before the park in general becomes more waterpark than theme park. I personally don't find water parks that fun. Until Holiday World adds something new to the actual park, I don't have a reason to go.

Or visit with someone who has a Platinum Pass when visiting other Cedar Fair parks....right Gator? Free parking for us at Wonderland!

Correct, no discount at Panda Express located at KI.

It's been about 6 years since I visited, so not sure what help I can give. Think of CW as KI, do what you know will have shorter lines in the morning and go back to the ones people flock to in the morning. Fast Lane wasn't a thing when I was there. I didn't eat at the park, but a small snack. I think CW has a great collection of coasters even though some suck (because of pain) but do them all if you can.

^^I agree I've seen a group complain about another group being rude, line jumping and what not, so they got security, once security arrived the "offending party" started talking even more smack making the "complaint party" more upset to the point of almost throwing fists, both parties were kicked out of line. It's best to ignore if possible...if needed get park personnel involved.
