Yes, I'd love to see it via DVD.

Competition. Behemoth vs Diamondback vs Intimidator. Not sure if there is a prize or anything. But, what everyone here I'm assuming is seeing is Ride Ops not caring and just going as fast as they can. It's a sense of urgency. Every step has a purpose, every action has a purpose. Most of the ride ops doing power hours have been at a ride for long enough to follow safety procedures without being obvious. Thus creating the image of not caring and going as fast as they can.

It would be at the entrance. At least one person whether at the main entrance or at the Fast Lane entrance has a clicker.

Tips for First Time Coney Visit
Creed Bratton replied to CoasterGeek101's topic in Coney Island Central
Had a great time at Coney! Didn't realize that Alice Cooper and Mötley Crüe were in concert on Sunday night...didn't have to pay to park, which was nice! I really enjoyed the feel of the park. Python was a fun and interesting little coaster. The Dodgems were good! I liked and I didn't like Wipeout. I am glad I experienced it. I thought there were a ton of spinny rides which I didn't enjoy really. Although Tilt-A-Whirl is always a must ride when I see them. We didn't ride everything but had a great time. My last ride of the night was on the Rock-o-Planes. I liked it, but I was kind of irritated. The cycle lasted way too long. After getting off, a friend who didn't ride said he saw the ride operators playing on their phones the whole time. That really made me mad. Anywho. Nice park! Thanks for the suggestions! Edited: To change the spelling of the Band's Name to: Mötley Crüe -

I feel like Holiday World has been trying to isolate themselves from the industry and be so "family friendly" that it has kinda backfired on the park when it comes to bringing in enthusiast families that would make multiple visits a year/buy season passes. I mean they haven't really done much to draw families of enthusiasts back to the park except through Holliwood Nights, which often is a one visit to the park a year because there isn't much to excite those families. The Mayflower was added this year....how many parks in a 5 hour radius already has a swinging ship? While it may draw local families, families from out of state aren't going to rush over to ride it and may not be worth multiple trips back. Add the lack of exciting rides being installed in the park, just look at how the legal battles have made several on this site say they wouldn't be back to Holiday World for a while. They isolated themselves from the industry by adding free sunscreen and soda a while ago as well as cleanliness but they make jabs at other parks in blogs and what not. It's a mixed view of marketing. It can be good but can also be detrimental to be seen as a park that is down on Kings Island for putting up a fence for safety. They also do teasers a lot different from other parks. Theirs are typically only web based or social media, which creates a larger audience but think about if they were to do less online, more in park....they may attract more guests. I don't know I'm rambling at this point. Off to bed to get ready for tomorrow. Hopefully you all can decipher the points I was trying to make. I like her jab at KI whether or not it's directed to KI But we have a nice spectator tower too! -
Yes....to participate in any of the events on the itinerary the lanyard and event badge must be shown at all times during the specific events. Those badges must be worn by attendees and not shared between friends.

Just saw this on Kentucky Kingdom's: King Louie The Lion's Facebook page Maybe intentional?

Thanks Gator! Wondering if we can get the park done in about 2 hours or so. We are wanting to hit up Ikea and Jungle Jims before they both close for the night too. -

Maybe Lol, yeah "neato." I see you've picked up the East Coast lingo! I didn't want to start a new thread, really for one question that wasn't asked in Alex's original post and people may have changed their minds about what shouldn't be missed -
Yes....do not share the itinerary! Please also be patient, not all emails have been sent at the same exact time.

Tips for First Time Coney Visit

Bringing up an old thread...sorry! I possibly may be making my first trip to Coney this Sunday. I noticed the park is open until 9. We (three total newbies to Coney) would be arriving by 4ish which I noted has pricing of $8.95 for rides. How long would would it take to get through the park and do everything on the Sunday after a holiday? Anything that we should do? I know we'll def. ride Python and Whipeout. Thanks for any/all input! -
All registered and paid participants will receive an email by Friday with info about the event.

Did we see the birth of a new tasty tradition at KI?

I agree...I have to get some at the CC event! -
Needed.....while it may be an inconvenience for you, it's actually needed because people will freak out that their restraints aren't going to lock and then they'll report false information somewhere and guess what, it could end up on the news, resulting in us talking about how false news reports are a pet peeve. Also, they have to say downbar if they've unlocked the restraints so the other ride ops know to recheck them.

Some thongs are for little boys to ask questions about? Oh my! Oh my my my!

Thanks for sharing! I visited Coney Island a couple of years ago. I was quite surprised with how much fun I actually had there. The coasters are good ones, the other rides are great too. Did you ride AirRace? (I think that's how they spell it) Steeplechase was the first of it's kind for me. I was really surprised with how much fun it actually was. I wasn't a big fan of the restraint system, but it ended up being okay. Soarin' Eagle was probably the smoothest Zamperla Volare's I've been on. Glad you had a good time! If you ever get a chance, would love to see the pictures you took.

I actually watched the show last night (the name escapes me) that followed the building of this water slide. The rafts flying off happened twice once on the first slide built 1/2 scale and once on the actual slide. I was a bit surprised that it happened, however, the slide has since been rebuilt and there has been human testing without the rafts flying off. They've since added netting around the slide (above it too).

Welcome to KIC!!! I am always happy to be apart of Coasting For Kids! I have not been to the park on A Kid Again days but I know how much joy it brings to you and other families. I hope that this year is just as amazing as it has been in the past!

http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/29/us/san-diego-seaworld-ride/index.html?sr=fb062914seaworld1130avodtoplink A lady interviewed said if her child was up there, they better find a way to get my child down or I'm climbing up there to get him/her. Seriously? I get the whole you want to protect your child, but putting yourself in even more danger is insane.
