I agree with both of you. I stayed at the hotel for Coasting For Kids this year and the only problem I had with my stay was the fact that the website said I could check in as early as 2 pm but when I got there, the front desk said 4 and my room wasn't ready yet. The room was nice and clean. It was a big room actually for 1 person. I'd be upset if this place closes as I'd definitely stay there again.

I say no. You're going to be traveling on the same layout, same track as you would have on Mantis. Yes, Floorless trains give you a different experience, but do you count it as a new credit each time you ride in a new seat (standing or sitting) for a different experience? No.

Geauga Lake: From Icon to Eyesore.
Creed Bratton replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That makes me think, if this aggressive strategy that apparently is supposed to be happening, includes the removal of one water park near the lake of Geauga. -
Geauga Lake: From Icon to Eyesore.

My bad, it just came across my Facebook page and I hadn't seen it. If it were on this site, I may have missed it, when I stepped away for a while. -

Thought this was the most appropriate place to put this. Not much news other than: http://www.news-herald.com/general-news/20130515/neighbors-still-wonder-what-will-become-of-former-geauga-lake-amusement-park-property-with-video -

Come visit my back yard! SkyRider will be renamed for the 2015 season, standby for the announcement of the announcement date! " In all seriousness, I am excited that it has been bought and hopefully it'll land somewhere close. KK? Indiana Beach? -

As for the original "The Bat" I believe it operated at least a few times in the 1984 season with public riders.

Cedar Point is a resort destination. Many families come for the weekend, and haunted attractions are an appeal for some parents. There's not always someone to watch the children elsewhere. (An ACE member I met up with for a couple houses had the ideal solution: put his kids to bed at Breakers before coming back for mazes.) In any case, if a guest is upset to the point of crying, the actors should find someone else to pick on. I personally would never leave my kids alone in a hotel, even if they go to sleep, to go back into the park for a Halloween Event. I get that Cedar Point is a destination for families, but for parents to leave their kids unattended in a hotel is unacceptable. What would happen if the hotel caught fire, God forbid? What would happen if one of the kids got into the bathtub and something were to happen? The fact of the matter is, parents have the ultimate decision to make, either take their kids with them to the haunts, leave their kids with a trusted friend while they visit the haunt or don't attend. It's unacceptable to do anything else. The actors are there to do a job, to scare people, no matter who it is. Crying, screaming, jumping is a key to knowing that the guest will be scared if you try. If the parent gets upset about their kid being scared to the point of crying that is their fault, not an actor's fault nor the park's fault.

Refillable Water Stations to be added to Kings Island in 2015
Creed Bratton replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I bought this one at Menards, for like $2. Bought it like 2 years ago. I'm sure they still have them. Walmart may also have some in store but you can also purchase online, have shipped to your local Walmart for no cost on shipping. http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=water+bottle+foldable&ic=16_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=0 -

Refillable Water Stations to be added to Kings Island in 2015
Creed Bratton replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Now I can get one Kinzel Cup (hope this gets trademarked one day, so I'll keep it capitalized) and refill it after I drink it until I get on a ride! Very convenient, no more waiting in line for water cups (at least have to wait one or two times). -
Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?

That link takes us to the home page of the site. Can't find the article you're talking about. -
I stand corrected, as I had not needed to re-enter this year, so I assumed things were still the same.
-
Season passes can only be used to enter the park once per day. As some of Terpy's posts have indicated, when he wasn't allowed into Carowinds (I believe) they said it was because he was already in the park (at the very time the park was just opening for the year I believe). The system blocks out multiple entries per day per pass. Thus, the handstamp needed for re-entry. So for Haunt, there is zero re-entry, passholder or not. I believe this is the case for Fridays and Saturdays. Possibly Sundays. Best bet is to call the park and ask on that.

DJSkyFoxx You took the words out of my mouth. What bothers me is that the Screaming_Chicken had underlined two words: Have and Hate. Whether intentional or not, it sends the wrong message. This whole thing brings me to a weird point because I'm a practicing Christian and I'm gay. No where in the Bible has God said "you HAVE to love the person and HATE the sin." This phrase has been used numerous times and it's just not biblical. It's a man made phrase that people use to feel better about how they treat those who may not go through life like some Christians believe they should. The Huffington Post in 2013 published an entry that summed the whole phrase up: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/micah-j-murray/why-i-cant-say-love-the-sinner-hate-the-sin-anymore_b_4521519.html The fact of the matter is, those of us in the LGBTQ community don't really need anyone's approval to be who we are, we don't need anyone to say hey I love you but I hate your lifestyle, etc. We just need to be treated like we're just as Human as everyone else. /Rant I am so upset that I can't attend this event. I unfortunately have to work very early the next morning. To those going, have a ton of fun, take pictures and please ride Banshee for me
