Hey guys, just want to remind you, to be careful when posting things on here about the park and your employment. Make sure you look over anything with your employee handbooks/website/etc. social media/company info policies. Don't want you to get in trouble or fired. Also, make sure you note, that you are not allowed to sell your comp tickets or tickets you get discounted that could result in termination. Just lookin' out for you! Happy 2015 KI Season! Welcome to the family!

The room I stayed in last year, was not bad. Although it wasn't a part of the main hotel. It was in one of the buildings by the road. Sad to see it's fate.

AVATAR Is Going To Animal Kingdom
Creed Bratton replied to Avatar's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I loved the movie...but I think ultimately, what I liked about the movie and what I'll like about this, is the experience of being in Pandora...not necessarily the story line. Although the storyline was good. What I absolutely loved was the color and how vivid everything was. The glowing of the world at night blew my mind and I hope that Disney can really copy that. -
I'm more concerned about the greenhouse being moved out front...won't that harm the foot traffic flow? Unless they make it a gift shop of sorts.... "Buy plants grown here at Kings Island!"

Rides and Slides 2015
Creed Bratton replied to Spectrum91's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I hope the new car for these are much more comfortable than some of the traveling ones. The only SIX park that I plan on visiting this year is not getting one of these, so I won't get to check out the comfortable factor until next year. -

Frontier City is adding a 7 story tall, Larson Loop, called Brain Drain. https://www.frontiercity.com/rides/new-brain-drain/ Frontier City is located in Oklahoma. -
Tickets are on sale through April 30th, there isn't a specific number of tickets to be sold. No age restriction, but all who attend must follow all park posted rules as well as the rules for their coaster clubs. On that, you have to have a current and active membership with an affiliated Coaster Club to attend. All of the other information you need to know can be found here: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/images/uploads/file/Coasterstock(3).pdf

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
Creed Bratton replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
As far as Witch's Stew, it was operating in August 2014. I spoke to the person who runs the Save Conneaut Lake Facebook page...who visits the park often (lives close by I believe) stated that to their knowledge Witch's Stew is still on property. Terpy I did forget Devil's Den...it was good, I liked it. The Turtles were also good...but my top 3 stays the same Speaking of 3....when Gator family and I visited in August, we rode the bumper cars....had 3 cars on the floor....from what I could tell, the only 3 operational. They were sad...one wouldn't move until it was bumped from behind with another car. Sad state. -
Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?

I hope to get back to Conneaut at some point this year if it stays open. There's something about the park that just draws me to it. Hendrick, when did Witch's Stew get removed? The three best rides at the park: Blue Streak (absolutely loved it), The Flying Scooters and Paratrooper. -
I have a friend that has a business with their husband...each year they donate about $100. My goal is $1,000. I've got incentives set up on Facebook for those who donate. I'm also trying to decide on ways to get people to donate in the form of if we raise $200 I have to do this....and so on. If I reach goal, I will dye my hair for the event.

The new website, looks pretty nice! -
I am registered and ready to go! I've already raised $110! The only thing that I don't know (other than the itinerary for Kings Island) is the shirt color. It looks like the shirt graphic on the website is purple with 2014 written on it.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
Creed Bratton replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Sorry for the double post. I decided today to check out www.newconneautlakepark.com and was greeted with a generic page that gives the email address to the park and a little section that says: "Look for the NEW Conneaut Lake Park Website at www.newconneautlakepark.com" Went to check out the new page, www.newconneautlakepark.com, and was greeted with a www.godaddy.com generic page saying I could purchase the page. Interesting. -
Lol, no worries! I had to give you a hard time!

Thunderbird has launched!
Creed Bratton replied to APE's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It looks like they were testing earlier today. A friend of mine who was dropping off paperwork to the park, saw a train on the launch track. Not sure if it did a full launch test today or partial launch. Also, I confirmed with Holiday World via Twitter that the control booth would be above the track like at Cedar Point on the roller coaster, Gatekeeper. -
Theme park in Alabama
Creed Bratton replied to oysterman's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The thing I enjoyed about the video that spoke about the Texas park, was that there was going to be an area themed to New York and a roller coaster themed to the New York Stock Exchange....it all goes down from there right?
