  1. I've heard some rumblings, if you liked Cirque you should like the Haunt show.
  2. While, the RMC coasters have good reviews, I have a feeling that they're going to really only stay with SIX. I'm okay with that. I'd rather have a real wooden coaster at a park I visit frequently. I don't go to any Six Flags park for several reasons, but them doing the RMC treatment on several wooden coasters is another bullet point on the list for me.
  3. When clicking the option to go to the first un-read post, it's will either take me to the top of the last active page or it'll take me to the middle of the page.
  4. Geesh Terp, they weren't driving this: From: http://themcahighway.com/birth-of-motor-club-of-america I kid, I kid! When I had looked at possibly doing a trip in the Orlando/Tampa area last fall, we had found a site that said we could take a 45 min. bus ride from where we were planning on staying in Orlando to BGT. Whether or not that was true, that's another story.
  5. I so saw the New England Skyscreamer as a part of the track that was added! Haha! But I'm not surprised with the RMC treatment. At least they're starting on the construction now, maybe (doubtful) the attraction will open on time!
  6. I know you can pick up a copy free in Washington, DC. Or at least I did a few years ago, or I unknowingly committed a crime
  7. Unfortunately, it doesn't look the same. Paint is mostly gone, the midway is more broken up, etc. Hoping to get pictures uploaded soon. Working evenings have left me unmotivated to edit and upload. As Gator had mentioned, I also took it, as a matter of fact. I took it as more legal talks than if the park were to own each and every ride there.
  8. Correct. The Lazer Maze is completely separate from the Halloween Haunt Maze set up no matter the theme of the haunt. There are games in the front of the game building, the maze happens behind those games and exits to the side of those games and the lazer maze.
  9. I agree it should be easier, but I think the park is smart not keeping emails in the system. Say your email gets hacked later on and you speculate that someone got it from the KI database you'd be questioning the park creating more of a headache than retyping an email address.
  10. Speaking of Geauga Lake, I did pick up some Geauga Lake Souvenirs at Conneaut, which was weird to me. I also picked up a PKI postcard! Blue Streak honestly is amazing! I was surprised after all the stories I had heard about it. I even left a chunk of my skin on the restraints when my knee bumped into it on a hill while I was in a wheel seat. Lol.
  11. Could the fact that Midway normally switches to a Pizza Buffet for the fall be a reason as well?
  12. That park needs it. When visiting the park on Tuesday last week, the Gator family and I hit up the waterpark. The slides were, eh at most. It was lacking a wavepool, but had a heated pool, that was small and would have been uncomfortable if there were 20+ people in it.
  13. Conneaut Lake Park was a neat little park. One thing I found out when visiting was that most if not all of the rides there are leased by owners that aren't a part of the board/trustees/people owning the park. So even if a sheriff's sale were to happen, court proceedings would take a long time. I am still holding out hope for this park.
  14. Mr. Fehnel didn't even get a full season at Dorney as GM/VP under his belt loop.
  15. I thought you meant the Screaming Swing at Kennywood. It was down the other day, hope it's open on Sunday! I need my fix!
  16. Which is it's older brother? I'm not well versed in S&S Screaming Swings.
  17. No, the cables that actually swing the arms broke previously. Side note: Here are a few pictures of them working on installing new cables: https://www.facebook.com/coastercrew/posts/516082661858688
  18. The park has been working on getting cables back onto the ride.
  19. Those clipboards holds the schedule of rotations for the day....not a tally sheet.
  20. Email tim@coastercrew.net with the list of parks you're visiting and he'll let you know whether or not those parks have a CC discount.
  21. First of all, welcome to KIC! Awesome trip report! I'm glad that you got your son on some of the "bigger" rides! It's always sweet to see kids gain confidence when riding new rides! Can't wait to see what your next trips bring in terms of confidence gain for your son and the fun for you!
  22. Get better soon! My 82 year old grandma was just released from the hospital today from having pneumonia. Get lots of rest!
  23. But what about those who don't experience pain while riding certain rides? I know people have said Gatekeeper and Banshee has caused them pain in the shoulder blades, but I've not personally felt any pain. Or those who have ridden Magnum and say they have pain on their legs when riding? I've ridden and have not had the pain as described here. It's different for each person, the severity and location. I think it comes down to each person knowing their own body, what works for them and what doesn't work for them. If one finds discomfort on Magnum because of ___, then they possibly shouldn't ride. But I agree with you on part of your statement markr. There shouldn't be a how to ride ____ (ride)...each person I believe should be able to find out how to ride comfortably for themselves. Online, we can't really tell anyone how to be comfortable because we don't see the how the people wondering ride the rides. I also agree with you markr, about the restraints on Magnum, I'd prefer something a bit softer.
  24. It is rumored to go there, if Cedar Point does infact get a new dark ride.
