  1. Private stalls I believe. Edit: Private Stalls in some areas and public rooms I think. Correct me if I'm wrong someone.
  2. Did not see that at first, had to go back and watch it again. I totally see it!
  3. Agreed 100% Never sure how many people can say they love something so much but not know anything really about it.
  4. Welcome! Let us know how it goes!
  5. Watching the banner animation on Canada's Wonderland's website, not the teaser, the animation features wind (I think) and fire. My thoughts are that it could be representing the Phoenix. Rising out of the ashes and flying....hmm? Anyone else seen this and your thoughts on it?
  6. I believe the lockers are either $12 or $15, with a $5 refund after you turn the key in. They do have changing rooms, check the park map to see where they are Boomerang Bay Map They do not offer towels, you will have to bring your own. As always call the park if you need further clarification. Have a great time at Boomerang Bay!
  7. I'm no Clark Griswold!
  8. I am excited that I am more than likely going to Six Flags Magic Mountain for the first time in my life, well first Six Flags park too! Anywho, I'll either be going next weekend (August 1st) or the following (August 13th). For those of you who have visited the park, do you know of any discounts on admission or fast passes? Any general tips for me? I'm excited! Thanks!
  9. I could see Carowinds getting a Giant Frisbee. I'm trying to imagine how a GF would go in that area....I could see it going over by Vortex because to me that area is lacking. Guess we'll see when the time comes.
  10. Just remember Ouimet is not the person who implemented the Fast Lane. In his interviews he was just suggesting that they may be happening in the future, none of us could imagine it would be this quick. This decision wasn't made over night and I don't believe Ouimet even was a part of the decision making.
  11. That's what I enjoy at Cedar Point. Some of the major attractions have DJ booths to play music through the queue lines. It'd be interesting to see KI do this. The DJs are only there during high capacity days and something like Itunes plays from the stations when a DJ is not present.
  12. You're not that far off... they've already completed a feasibility study of an on-site hotel (which found it to be a very positive proposition), and the hotel is likely to open along with the African Savannah area in the next few years. Once they have an on-property themed hotel (they've specifically said 'Safari Themed' thus far), potentially an indoor waterpark, an expanded Jungle Jack's Landing, Zoombezi Bay, and the huge zoo itself, they'll have a 3-day sellable destination on their hands. I had heard that too! I for one think the Columbus Zoo is an amazing zoo! It by far is my favorite one out of the many free and paid-admission zoos I've been to. I look forward to a hotel (possibly an indoor waterpark) and an expansion of Jungle Jacks Landing! When I'm in Ohio, I'm sure I'll be staying at the hotel (when/if it opens). I do think that an expansion of Jungle Jack's Landing would be a great idea, I just hope that they would keep the rides bracelets and get rid of the tickets, or maybe even do a separate admission, kind of like they do for Zoombezi Bay (but still gives you access to the zoo).
  13. Why did almost everyone already posting on the forum ignore the fact that not one but two people mentioned that wind speeds even a hundred feet up from the ground is drastically different? Going on the 2nd question, to back that up, Diamondback cannot operate if the winds at the top of the lift hill are above 65 mph. On the ground it could be very calm, but at the top of the hill it might not be. Being on top of the lift hill and in the station there is a difference of wind speed. So for WindSeeker, 301 feet up in the air, compared to Diamondback's 230 feet in the air, would have more mph on wind speed than Diamondback. So yes, it could be unsafe to operate even if the wind on ground is almost calm. Finally, remember that this is a prototype ride (as someone else mentioned) the ride isn't going to operate every single day and hour that the park is open. There are going to be times when WindSeeker is down due to weather and other issues, it's out of our control, so no need for anyone to get up in arms about it.
  14. Haha that video is hilarious, not sure if she got permission to have her cell phone on the ride taking a pov or not. As for a 2012 announcement...hmm! I can't wait!
  15. Worlds first 95% underground coaster!! Lol! Although 11 feet is not unheard of! The Underground at Adventureland has a total height of 13 feet. Now, I'm not sure if it's underground though.
  16. I have to agree with you pikeman77 and avatar. This weekend was a ton of fun and I enjoyed every ride I had, including 5 coasters I haven't been on before! It was a great event and overall seemed well organized. I was very happy to see that most of the ride ops were a lot of fun! Some other park employees, meh kinda. My favorite part of the weekend: Mean Streak, honestly! It was a great and fun ride! I never rode it pre-retracking but I enjoyed every second of it!

  18. Talking with some friends today, yes, we thought about it. I personally think that it is. Brian5465E are you absolutely sure it was heading north into Indiana, because you said you weren't sure if it was it's true route or a pit stop?
  19. Me too! Next time I visit the park I'll have to go here! I've never really thought about going here to get drinks..but as someone said above, it's an arm and a leg for alcohol at the park. While I enjoy me some alcohol, there's more than that to going somewhere, I'll take my free waters and eat the food.
  20. This was at Cedar Point. My friend was there over this past weekend...I hope CP's WindSeeker is open by Coastermania....but like many of you here...I just want it to pass inspection, be a safe and reliable ride!
  21. I felt like the ride was really smooth on Sunday! The roughness may have came from a wheel that needed replaced. As for the wheels not touching the track, this is normal. The wheels on the side of the trains are used to follow the track when it curves one way then another, etc. There are multiple wheels that keep the train on the track and depending on the location on the wheel to follow the track. I've noticed it! No worries!
  22. All 4 WindSeekers are prototypes. These have not been built before. It's true that CW opened their WS first, however they did stop operation because something wasn't right. They're learning a lot about these rides already. When KI or Cedar Point or even Knotts does their full fledged testing they may find an issue that CW didn't realize they'd have and will have to fix. Also to remind you, KI's WindSeeker was supposed to open first, not CW.
  23. Wow thanks Jesse! Your report of Dinosaur's Alive has me extremely excited to see this attraction when I visit the park next! Great pictures as always! I'll make sure to buy the combo ticket and watch the movie first!
