  1. That's a shame! I wondered that when I was there on opening day. Wonder if it's hooked up to a gas line or if they have a canister of gas that they have to refill?
  2. I've only been to Cedar Point once and that was the first week of June. It was absolutely great! The longest line we waited for was a 30 min wait for Maverick! I would definitively suggest going around that time!
  3. I doubt it will hinder the ride experience that much at all.
  4. I would not miss Congo Falls for a second. My view on the "lack of water rides" argument is we have a water park for a reason. Anyone, during the water parks operating hours, is more than welcome to go and get soaking wet as much as they want. I will be over here riding Banshee and Diamondback! I've always been grossed out by water parks anyway....
  5. Never got to ride TRTR. But I enjoyed The Crypt during the 2008 season. It really wasn't even that bad in 2009. I also really enjoyed Jaws when I rode it.
  6. I always feel like a jerk when I correct people. So I just sit back and smile to myself. What really makes me angry when some know it all smart*** tries to correct me. That just infuriates me.
  7. Is this the guy that did Gatekeepers documentary? That was a phenomenal doc!
  8. Speaking about record breaking rides, I haven't ridden it but The Smiler looks like it would just about throw me over the edge.... And I would consider myself having a strong stomach.
  9. Almost as bad as the "Knott" fiasco several days ago!
  10. ^^^That picture of Don made me laugh. He looks so at peace with the world while also looking like an absolute champion.
  11. More of an exciting death. I wouldn't call that coaster peaceful!
  12. I had never heard of that rollercoaster before. Its very neat but...bizarre in the same way. I don't quite understand why someone would want to design a rollercoaster for the sole purpose of killing them.
  13. It was a very good PTR. I always have respect for people that are able to write those extremely long TR. If you read any of mine it is like I'm a 4th grader.
  14. We need to get off the belief that KI's next woodie will be confused with Son of Beast. Even though SoB was a troubled ride, it was evolutionary in many ways and to many people a fantastic ride. If we had this mindset for everything, we would not progress in any aspects of life. You live and you learn. It's just in this scenario it was a rather expensive lesson.
  15. I would not wait more than an hour and a half on a normal day. The reason I waited 3 and a half hours in Friday was because it was opening day. Some of my best memories are from waiting in line in Diamondback and even Banshee on opening day. I don't know why but I really enjoyed waiting in the temporary queue on the roads behind Banshee.
  16. That's exactly what our group said. Their was absolutely no way that that many people got in front of us. We were very close to the front of the "mob" at 11:00.
  17. One thing for sure is it would probably hinder capacity a small bit. I'm not saying capacity is more important than safety, because it is not.
  18. Ready to ride Banhsee again!

  19. Thanks Don! Once again great job with Banshee! It really is a remarkable ride!
  20. It was only stuck on the hill Friday for like 3 min. It must just be a little glitch. Has their been any more problems with the brake run since Friday?
  21. There is nothing wrong with selling your first rider shirt. It is their shirt and they can do what they want with it.
  22. For the first time ever I tried my first blue ice cream yesterday. The least I can say is it's very good!
