  1. Thank you! I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
  2. I'm a really big fan of Vortex. And since I'm absolutely frightened of WindSeeker, (and the fact that everybody else in my family loves it,) I rode it a lot more than usual this past season. Every time I've ridden Vortex, I've always checked and double checked that I was in 5-1. Is there really that much of a difference? Being tall and quite skinny, I'm a bit too afraid to try it out for myself, and I'm worried one of these days I'll be forced to go to a different seat and I'll be so battered by the end I'll be sore for days.
  3. I like the new website. As for the map, Invertigo got it's loop back!
  4. That is one of the coolest photos I have seen in a while. Who are those people, anyhow? Maintence crew? Painters?
  5. I officially love this topic. Say, when was the last time The Racer got a fresh coat of paint anyhow?
  6. Soak City? Change the oa to a uc, and you have my opinion on the new name. I'm no expert on public relations, but everybody I've talked to who wants to go to a water park only ever goes to Boomerang Bay if they're either already planning on visiting Kings Island or have a pass. Otherwise, they go to The Beach. Also, I'm not quite sure how marketable a wave pool is compared to a massive waterslide, but I can assume the slide would get more people to come.
  7. I know the answer is probably going to be no, but could you identify the manufacturer?
  8. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm beging to think that the three question marks in speech bubbles have to do with the nature of the announcement rather than the item to be announced...as in, the speech bubbles represent the fact that the announcement will be made over social networking.
  9. I believe it was less than a week for WindSeeker, but don't quote me on that.
  10. Seems that the 'Labor Day Weekend' news is that's whan season passes go on sale.
  11. Minus the dueling factor, Dragon Challenge is a bit mediocre in my opinion.
  12. Texas Giant had a mildy exciting layout to begin with... Minus the loop, Son of Beast isn't worth re-doing in my opinion.
  13. Gee, that looks like one of the most intense coasters I've ever seen! Hopefully this won't have nearly as many trims as Behemoth.
  14. I could spend all day on the Dodgems.
  15. Possibly. I noticed whatever-it-was right before the ride carriage began lowering, so I only got one quick glance. However, the color scheme of SOB's trains does match the color scheme of the thing out in the woods. It does seem a bit odd that two of the Eiffel Tower's binoculars are covered up.
  16. On WindSeeker today, I could have sworn I saw some type of track behind DA. I wasn't able to get a picture, since I couldn't see it from the Eiffel Tower.
  17. In the Boo Blasters version, my highest score ever was 1350. I once got in the mid-2000s back when the ride was Scooby Doo.
  18. I'd love to see Boo Blasters replaced with an old-school Pretzel or Bill Tracy dark ride. Only problem is that it would be impossible.
  19. I'm afraid so. If I remember correctly, there was a topic about it several months ago (which I can't seem to be able to find...) when the coaster was announced.
  20. I wouldn't get my hopes up that Kings Island is even getting something for 2012.
  21. The problem I have with the Fast Lane system is that it's so powerful that it's flawed. As in, the Fast Lane holders could gang up on a certain ride all day and exponentially increase wait times. My suggestion would be to do something more like Kennywood does-set up time blocks where you can ride a certain ride between so-and-so and so-and-so times. You could have it set up where different colored wristbands have diffrent schedules so not everybody with a Fast Lane pass could crowd one ride at one time. Just a thought...
  22. The way I see it, lines exist to assure peoplet that they will get to ride after the person in front of them and before the person behind them. Therefore, the way I see it, these 'line jumping services' defeat the whole purpose of lines.
  23. 1. Cyclone Racer - The Pike 2. The Bat - Kings Island 3. Time Machine - Frestyle Music Park 4. Steel Phantom - Kennywood 5. Giant Coaster - Crystal Beach 6. Bobs/Tornado - Independent ride at Coney Island, New York, 7. Mini-Mine Train - Six Flags Over Georgia 8. Greased Lightnin' - California's Great America 9. Ravine Flyer - Waldameer Park (I'm including Steel Phantom because I think enough was changed through the conversion to Phantom's Revenge.)
  24. Ravine Flyer II is my favorite woodie. And Waldameer is one of my favorite parks, mainly because of the old-fashioned atmosphere.
