  1. I didn't have a choice! I was on Drop Tower!
  2. There are photos of the actors in the campgrounds found on Twitter by searching #CoasterCampout and changing the search settings to find photos. I would imagine that it was quite the surprise indeed. https://twitter.com/hashtag/coastercampout?src=hash&mode=photos
  3. All of the cars were removed when I left the park yesterday (7/18) around 5:00 PM. It was strange seeing it so bare!
  4. I went down to Kings Island with my brother today, and it was a beautiful day at the park. It was one of my favorite trips in a like time! It felt like forever since I had been there and it was a great day to visit, especially since we left before the rain got here. Here are a few notes: The band organ on the Grand Carousel. Wow. What an improvement! I never got to experience the organ before it was removed, and I can see why you all wanted it back so badly. The sound is crisp and clean, and it just feels right. I loved hearing that while riding. Well done for Kings Island indeed. I saw the Kings Island 5 for the first time today. Another success for the park. That was probably the highlight of my day. They were so peppy and upbeat, and they all sounded phenomenal. The cars on Shake, Rattle, & Roll were being taken off the ride today. They were stacked near the queue when I left the park, so I don't know if they were reattached or not. Drop Tower no longer plays Van Halen in the queue because of the FunTV. That was disappointing. During ERT, we were on Drop Tower when the national anthem was playing. Is there any way the ERT rides could be closed during the national anthem out of respect? I went through Dinosaurs Alive! for the first time today. I had been through Cedar Point's and Kings Island's was similar. A nice break from the park though! The Reds HOF Grille was fantastic as always. Maybe I'm just getting older, but is Flight of Fear more rough than in the past? It was nearly unbearable this morning in terms of shaking and rattling and whatnot, not to mention the lap bar tightened another notch twice during the ride. I found myself not enjoying that ride at all today. I had the push-up fudge things today for the first time today. I had the blue ice cream, chocolate, and peanut butter, and enjoyed all of them. Is the creamsicle flavor good as well? I noticed that Banshee had a rattle to it today, specifically in the blue train. Is that the train that has given everyone else problems? The construction of the building near The Beast was in full swing today, and that is a large building. I'm excited to see what goes in there. Thanks for reading! If you have any questions or comments feel free to ask.
  5. I was at the park today, and as soon as I saw that tweet I headed straight for the Grand Carousel. Wow. What an improvement! I never got to experience the organ before it was removed, and I can see why you all wanted it back so badly. The sound is crisp and clean, and it just feels right. I loved hearing that while riding. Well done for Kings Island indeed.
  6. I'm not insinuating anything, just pointing out an interesting choice of words on today's entry. What you decipher from the information given is up to your own imagination!
  7. Day 60 "We have not seen the sun for days, only dark clouds. The wind whips the sails. Our Mayflower groans. We steel ourselves for what lies ahead." http://www.holidayworld.com/66days/#sthash.z5TmeuV5.dpuf
  8. I was hoping to make it this week, but it will have to wait until Family Day in August.
  9. Don't most things of this nature have death listed as a potential hazard? I went canoeing today and death was listed on the liability release form. I would imagine that most rides have it on the list of potential hazards...
  10. "I'm not a role model... Just because I dunk a basketball doesn't mean I should raise your kids." -Charles Barkley
  11. Where did you see that at? He said that he would announce his decision after going on vacation with his family. Now that I think about it, I don't know if this was the same vacation he was talking about... so I might be wrong!
  12. ^^ He has said many times that he will not make a decision until after his trip to the World Cup championship game in Brazil this Sunday.
  13. If anybody can make a dark ride appealing to that demographic, I trust the people in Sandusky to do so.
  14. Especially when there the queues are empty...
  15. I'm still thinking dark ride. That is the only gap in the lineup up in Sandusky. Perhaps in that new structure that is popping up near Gatekeeper?
  16. Try the train. Trust me on that one! Also, the nice shaded tables near the train entrance in Rivertown seem to work well. Really, anywhere with shade, a nice breeze, and a place to rest your head works!
  17. The only thing that really bothers me is a lack of personal hygiene from others. Other than that, I refuse to let other people ruin my day. Although I am a naturally laid-back and easy going person anyway...
  18. We have people who stand in the middle of our campus and shout at us at least twice a week. Regardless of your belief, it seems that the more current generations are very turrned-off by aggressive preaching. No matter what your opinions and convictions are, you will just come off as a jerk when trying to aggressively convert "non-believers." Passive communication and pushy pursuing are entirely different things.
  19. Trip went well! Thanks for all the information and tips. The Grand Carousel was very cool, as well as the Scooters and Sea Dragon. And the animals seemed to be very playful today! A fun day indeed. My only complaint is that it took over a half hour to get out of the parking lot.
  20. Wow! That is about all I can ask for in terms of tips and info. Thanks! I'll be sure to follow that advice.
  21. I am planning on going over to the Columbus Zoo for the first time tomorrow! Are there any tips or information you guys have for me? Any must-sees or must-dos? Thanks for the help!
  22. I did a VIP tour on July 4th, 2012, and it was by far the best day I have ever spent at Kings Island. If it is in your budget, I will recommend it to anyone.
  23. Day 29 has me thinking that it may be a smaller family coaster. It is a hole in their current lineup...
  24. I had a coworker tell me yesterday that 2008 SFOG Batman: The Ride incident happened on Vortex. I tried to tell her that it was in Georgia, not Ohio, but she was convinced that she was correct...
