  1. So... a B&M Stand-Up? It seems to me that there is a lot of conversation about clouds and skies. What that means is a mystery to me, but I feel like they are mentioning the clouds quite often.
  2. I noticed this multiple times yesterday. On Backlot Stunt Coaster, there is a little tarred path near the back end of the long stretch of queue that people seem to think is an accessible entrance to the line. Only once did it seem like the people entering from there legitimately attempted to jump the line, and the others simply did not know that the entrance was on the other side. I feel like there should be something done about this just to prevent confusion.
  3. I waited over an hour for Flight of Fear yesterday, and the overall crowds were not that bad, so I doubt the news is scaring people too much.
  4. Hitting the brake run on Banshee, girl in row ahead of me: "Wait, that is it?"
  5. I was able to see the full show yesterday, and wow! That was impressive to say the least. Must see for every visit!
  6. Did we ever find out what the injury sustained on Sunday was? I saw that he is in a cast from KIC's picture on Facebook.
  7. We have a poll like this from a few months back here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/27882-favorite-kings-island-ride-logo/?hl=logo And my vote remains the same: The Beast!
  8. I was also there for that performance, and it was my first time seeing the show. Unfortunately it was cut short due to an injury to one of the acrobats. This is an excerpt from my TR: It occurred early on in the show, during the teeter-totter like performance. He appeared to land awkwardly upon hitting the mat, and rolled off to the side. The other performers immediately signaled to stop the show, carried him off, and the curtain closed. Obviously, I don't know the extent of the injury or all of the circumstances, but keep this young man in your thoughts and prayers that he will have a speedy recovery. Although the performance was cut short, it did look very promising and thrilling. I am interested to see it in its entirety, as well as to see if they continue the stunt on which that young man was injured. From the very short bits that I saw, it looks like KI has another winner here.
  9. Today I went to Soak City for a majority of the day, headed over to the dry park later in the evening, and left when the weather came rolling in. Here are a few notes: Soak City Bathrooms. Ouch. I understand that they are difficult due to the amount of water being tracked in, but they were bad today. I don't think I have ever been to Soak City (or BB) when it was as crowded as it was today. The wave pools felt like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InENM6fwIwE#t=40 Reds HOF Grille, fantastic as always. I could spend so much time in there just looking around, and the food and service were top-notch today. Every Reds fan (or just a fan of baseball) will love that place. Cirque Imagine. Today was my first time at the park while the show was running, so I went to catch the 7:00 playing. Unfortunately it was cut short due to an injury to one of the acrobats. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask em! Also, if anybody has an update on the Cirque Imagine performer, I would like to hear that as well.
  10. I always pictured it to be like The Beast from Beauty and The Beast as well, but much more ferocious.
  11. 2:45 for The Beast on a Fear Fest Saturday night. Then we did it again
  12. I received the Malware warning while opening the Kings Island 2014 Discussion thread minutes ago. I don't know if it is the same problem, but I didn't advance to the topic just to be safe.
  13. Hopefully he can come back home to Pittsburgh now. He belongs in Black and Gold!
  14. I rode in 8-4 twice and 1-2 once this weekend, and they are much better experiences than my first couple laps. 8-4 was very fun, especially on that first drop!
  15. Surprisingly, I had never seen a video of the ride prior to the switch to The Crypt. I wish I had a chance to experience that. Unfortunately, once I started attending Kings Island it had already been changed.
  16. That looks like it could pack a nice little punch!
  17. I believe it was Corkscrew up at Cedar Point, but I am not sure about that.
  18. I also enjoyed it up at Cedar Point this past weekend, other than that it played the same songs in every line over and over and over... My biggest complaint is that it isn't geared to each individual ride in terms of music, and it took away some of the original theme in certain lines. No more "Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!" audio in line for Dragster. Shouldn't Maverick have some kind of country music rather than Metallica? Other than that, I am a fan!
  19. No, it is whoever finds Tony first and shows him the tweet he sent out. He usually hints at his location or tells you where to find him, and the first people who find him get whatever prizes he has on him for that day. The rules and other information can be found here: https://www.cedarpoint.com/online-fun/tweetup-rules?mobile=0
  20. Coins are only available as prizes from a Tweet-Up by Tony Clark, who you can follow on Twitter @TonyClarkCP. Here is the Gatekeeper coin from last year as well as the Blue Streak anniversary coin from this year.
  21. For OSU Day and Opening Day up in Sandusky, TTD-120-420 went up to enjoy the park before he leaves for Virginia again this summer. Here are some points from the trip! The new Gemini Midway looks phenomenal. Especially at night. Beautifully done! Lake Erie Eagles are fun! This was my first flying eagles experience, so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. I now understand why everyone enjoys them so much! I noticed very little snapping though. Also, these things are a capacity nightmare. Many rides were down throughout the weekend, including Gatekeeper and Raptor all day Friday. I expect there were some certification issues, and I understand that it is the first weekend, but there was a lot of downtime this weekend. Surprisingly, Top Thrill Dragster seemed to only have a couple of small spurts of downtime while I was there. Happy Friar makes me happier than it should. Chickie's and Pete's did not impress me. The fries were very different, and I can see why people like them, but I was not a fan. I also had the lobster cheesesteak. The lack of silverware and vegetables also threw me off. Again, I can see why people are a fan of this place, but it is not for me. The service was very good though. I won a tweetup coin on opening day! It is a Blue Streak 50th anniversary coin! FunTV was entertaining while in line. They did a good job with that, other than playing the same songs in every line all weekend. Cedar Point's Dodgems are much better than Kings Island's. We had many good sessions on those this weekend. Maverick is amazing. I missed that ride this winter! Thanks for reading! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
  22. There was one time that my brother and I were in line for Flight of Fear, he had his hand on the rail, and someone on the other side of the rail sat on his hand and didn't realize it. My brother, being the awkward guy he is, just left it there for probably 2 minutes before the line moved again, and then yanked it out from under the guys butt. Hilarious! Anyway, I don't like being touched by random people, who seem to usually need to bathe more often. It never ceases to amaze me how barriers seem to disappear when in line. I couldn't imagine being in a foreign country where personal bubbles seem to often be much smaller!
  23. In my two trips through the Banshee queue, I noticed several people jumping in line. It seemed like every time I noticed it, it was because some people went to go put their bag in a locker and some went in line, and then the locker people joined the line people a few rows in. I think this will be an issue until, well, forever, because of people being annoyed about having to get a locker, so they just don't care.
  24. 5/4- My younger sister finally tried all the "big" roller coasters and loved them! I have another riding buddy!
