Kings Island's Food Truck Festival
coasterfanatic83 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I had both Bones Burgers and Pizza Tower tonight, and they were both fantastic! This was a great event, and hopefully Kings Island brings it back in the future. -
I rode BBOBH for the first time this season on Sunday, and it was rough. The guns seemed to be working fine, but there were quite a few targets that were not. I'm definitely ready to see it fixed/gone.

I read that post, and this was the only thing I could think of. Disturbing indeed.

I sat in the second row for the show on Sunday evening, and they did a fantastic job. I had never really even sat in the front half of the theater before, so it was very cool to see everything happening from a closer seat. I will try to find seats down there whenever I go now!

Kentucky Kingdom
coasterfanatic83 replied to sccard01's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm not even sure what to think of this. Also, is anybody else seeing a Kentucky Kingdom ad on KIC, and this very topic? Irony at it's finest... "Indy's new play place?" Ha. -
I caught a show for the first time this evening, and it was fantastic as always. I was hoping for maybe more new acts this year, but the ones they have are still excellent.

Like I said in the other thread, the few hours that I was there was a blast. It was well-organized and ran very well, so props to the park on that. I can't wait for similar events in the future years!

Band organ back and operating at Grand Carousel
coasterfanatic83 replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
I marathoned the Grand Carousel on Sunday evening to relax for a bit before ERT, and it was not working at that time. Also, the ride-ops did seem a bit puzzled about a 21 year old sitting on the ride for a half hour. -
On Saturday while Mr. Greg Scheid was introducing Mr. Dennis Speigel, he mentioned that he was going out to California to ride Gold Striker and Voyage to the Iron Reef. I found it interesting that he chose to specifically highlight those two rides on his trip out west.

Your Woodstock Gliders Experience
coasterfanatic83 replied to TheBEASTunchained's topic in Kings Island
I was able to finally get a few snaps for the first time in my life tonight. Its about time! -
I had a blast for the few hours that I was there this weekend. Thanks to Kings Island for putting on the event. Can't wait to see what is in store for next year!

Has Dinosaurs Alive ran it's course?
coasterfanatic83 replied to Coaster Addict's topic in Kings Island
As long as it is continuously profitable, I would imagine Dinosaurs Alive or something similar to it will stick around. -
Please try the blue ice cream if you haven't before.

And that way a customer isn't mad if it is inaccurate. If the listed time is 20 minutes, but it takes 30 minutes, people will complain. If it is the opposite, people will rejoice.

Kennywood: Large Fight
coasterfanatic83 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
An influx of teenagers coming into the park around 8:45 p.m.? I don't know about everyone else, but why would you go to the park at 8:45? Unless you had intentions of participating in enjoying the park experience, you wouldn't- especially teenagers. It sounds to me, if it was accurate that they entered the park around 8:45, that someone was looking for trouble. -
An Open Letter to Kennywood
coasterfanatic83 replied to TombRaiderFTW's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
A simple "Like" isn't enough here. Thank you to Kennywood on behalf of this family, and thank you to all employees who go out of their way to make a customer's day better. I have always said that whatever job I end up after school, as long as I can make people smile, that is what I want to do. Things like this are the reason why. -
How'd you get over your fear of Roller Coasters
coasterfanatic83 replied to CoasterDirected's topic in Kings Island
My grandma, aunt, cousin, and I were at Cedar Point, probably around age 9-10. I had been to KI before that, so I had ridden some smaller coasters prior to this. I wasn't too sure about Gemini, so I said that I'll try the little one first (Jr. Gemini). When I got in line and saw that there was a bunch of little kids on it I didn't want to look like a baby so I went on the big one instead. And it was all downhill from there. -
Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)
coasterfanatic83 replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
If that were the case, how would one go about rewarding somebody who is putting in the extra effort and going beyond their job description to make sure you have a positive experience? -
Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)
coasterfanatic83 replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
They give a really good amount of food for very fair prices. I usually don't finish the entire plate if I get a full meal. And the food is high quality as well. Its the best value in the park. I eat there nearly every visit. -
Kentucky Kingdom
coasterfanatic83 replied to sccard01's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Preview weekends? When did that become a thing? It's like they are making everything up as they go. Oh, wait... -
Also, can we limit the length of the "interests" portion of a profile shown on forums, or stop showing those? The longer ones create a chunk of blank space beneath the post that can be excessive to scroll through.

Thunderbird has launched!
coasterfanatic83 replied to APE's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Any other reviews of Thunderbird? What was B&M's launch like? Which seats are best? I want in-depth answers, people!!! -
If this is ever the case, I will go ride it enough times to single-handedly increase ridership to a profitable amount.
