Im kinda Torn on the Subject. The Stingy Side of me wants to say Lower it Simply because it seems like every year, they tend to add more "Pay Per" attractions to Kings Island.Im still a major opponent of WhinePass, Dinosaurs Alive, Go Karts, Slingshot. Plus the removal of the Gold pass parking perk, While not entirely that big a deal, was a removal. Then the other half says keep it the same because all in all, it really is a good bargain for kids and family entertainment for the summer. Yet if Upping the Price 10 bucks per pass means the Major renovation of a Certain "Zone" in the Park and a decision made on an Unnamed wooden coaster of which we do not speak about, I would be fine with that too.

I thought they were Minicoopers. BMW Owns Mini, therefor when the agreement ended with BMW, they were not allowed to use the mini name anymore.. Edit: Darn you Crypt.. Ya beat me.

I'll betcha Don reads all these posts before he goes to bed each night just to get a good laugh.. imagine being him? My guess is he and everyone else in upper management know what the fate of SOB is. Don seems like an interesting and funny guy. Imagine being a Public Relations manager and having to keep a secret like that. I don't know if I could do it.

I actually had to walk back down the hill once on Screeching Eagle at the old Americana. From what I hear, that was a pretty unrare occurrence. Man I miss that ol Coaster!!

Sadly, if based upon the ringers that I read on Facebook,Iff you were to ask the majority of people as they enter the park, they would say, "What's a Son of Beast?"

Personally, I think we will see Son of Beast operate again. Part of it may be wishful thinking. I keep going over and over in my head, If they were going to demolish it or scrap it, they would have already done it IMHO.. Like I said, this may be just wishful thinking, but I think we will see a reborn, retracked, relooped "Giga Beast" as the centerpiece of an Action Zone revamp/refurb in 2014.. They've already completed the paint job on Invertigo. That's one phase.. Now once again, this is just an opinion, no proof no nothing, but just a wishful/hopeful thought...

I could totally see "Super Mario World" where Planet Snoopy is now.. Woodstock whirlybirds could be bowsers airships.. Boo blasters could be Luigis Mansion...Peanuts 500 could be Super Mario Karts.. Woodstock express could be Super Mario Coaster or something. That would be awesome!!!

Im a Guy. 5'11" and 310 pounds. I have no problem getting on Woodstock express, flying ace, or even the Great pumpkin coaster for that matter.. So you shouldnt have a problem at all...

Answer me this, was the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad de-themed while under Paramount Ownership or when Cedar Fair took over?

While this May be true On Rides like Diamondback, Vortex, Etc., Theres alot of Rides that could Offer so Much more of an Immersive Experience as opposed to "Wait in Line, WEE!, Get off" Ill give Days of Thunder for an Example. (The Original, Not the stupid Go Cart track). When it first opened, The walkway back included a Pseudo Movie Set with Nascars In the Middle of the Que, Loudspeakers With Directors yelling Action, The Cars Roaring, Twin Turntables at the Base of the Theater Rotating, It was just a fully immersive experience. Top Gun (Flight Deck) Comes to mind as well..The walk back in the Que took you into basically an Aircraft Carrier like atmosphere with Air Force Memorabilia to look at, Bombs, Flight Suits, (Speaking of flight suits, the Ride Ops wore Flight suits actually), and just, as i said before, a immersive experience that built of the excitement of riding the Actual ride.. Thats what Made it Better and thats what Themeing is all about!

Wow! I'm surprised. A lot of paramount haters here. Personally, I think the Paramount years were the best years (evident by my first post ) I think Paramount lost its focus towards the end of there run and just wanted out. If they would have kept the fire and enthusiasm when they first got into it, things wouldn't have went downhill. I just always preferred Kings Island as a Theme park as opposed to an Amusement park. A good story behind a good ride always makes things better IMO..

One of the only things that paramount did that I totally didn't agree with was moving the flying eagles to Carowinds. I still get ticked off when I see that stupid basketball game it it's place..

But alas we'll never know what could have been with a strong paramount owned park at this point. I foresee an expanded xbase, a rivertown that is actually, rivertown.. A carousel with a pipe organ that actually still works.. I can only imagine. As as far as nick characters being stale? Are you living on another planet? Anyone who thinks peanuts characters are more relevant than Nickelodeon Characters is, with all due respect, dillusional.. IMO..

I would see an open and fully operational Son of Beast, rides that are themed and named what they should be named, a Paramount Story walk that is actually an enjoyable walk through and not just a smoke stack. And overall, a feeling of enchantment and excitement when I walk into the park that I simply do not feel with the kidsy/Poppy music that's played when I walk into the park. A kids area themed to cartoons and shows that kids actually watch on a daily basis and love as opposed to a mascot who hit his strides in the comic books and cartoon specials in the late 60's and 70's but just keeps getting shoved down people's throat, a Racing Rollercoaster with a blue side that still goes backwards, no dinosaurs and a park that doesn't believe in letting people pay extra money to be able to jump to the front of everybody in line.....

My wife was in line with my 2 year old to ride the little cars over in Planet Snoopy. There was a mon with a little boy and girl, both which had just bathing suits on. The ride op patiently explained that her kids had to have proper attire on (shirts, shoes, etc.) in order to ride. When the ride op told her this, the mom proceeded to go ballistic!! ( Ghetto as my wife called it.. ) talking bout " my kids already rode this @$$@ ride and they didn't have shirts on before and yadda yadda yadda. It got so bad that 3 security guards had to come over to subdue the lady, they cleared the ride and shut it down while they delt with this lady. It amazes me how some people just think they are above the rules. I was flabbergasted!!

I used the Fun Perks Wristband all Night tonight on the Freestyle Coke machines... tried just about every flavor i could Imagine..

I Had a Dream Kinda similar to that. It didnt involve the toboggan Sleds, but I remember walking down the walkway from Action Zone to coney mall and I remember hearing that Familiar Clanging sound the Anti Rollback made when the train got to the top of the hill and sure enough, SOB was running a empty Red Train! I ran with my brother over to the line, got in line and rode it just like it was yesterday... Got off and Don was standing there after We got off and I just said simply, "Thank you!" and he just as plain as day said, "Welcome Back.." Then I woke up! Wild!!
