  1. TRTR opened in 2002 and then a year later Delirium. In 99 Faceoff and Drop Zone opened and then a year later SOB opened. So It might be possible for a new coaster in 2012! Let's hope!
  2. This may have nothing to do with the topic but has anyone noticed that from 9 to closing Action Zone is always empty most of the time. It's Rivertown that's PACKED during that hour due to people wanting to get their night ride on Beast and Diamondback. I like to go to Action Zone at night to avoid lines for Delirium and Drop Zone.
  3. Why would they take out the EuroBubbles they put it in THIS YEAR.
  4. I always found it weird that their was an arcade their at the EXIT.
  5. That video was probably the Greatest jokes in Spongebob. I can't stand the new episodes of Spongebob nowadays. It's just SO ANNOYING, I WANNA SHOOT THE TV! By the "new" episodes of spongebob i'm talking 2005-present. And I know this isn't because I'm not a kid anymore because whenever they play episodes from 1999-2004 I can actually stand watching FULL episodes and they will actually make me laugh and it doesn't give people headaches.
  6. has changed his mind about WindSeeker and is pretty excited to ride it next year

  7. I feel this topic should be closed considering the announcement of WindSeeker.
  8. I'm not eligible to vote in this poll since I wasn't alive during KI's "flat" days. But I'm going to anyway. I'm just gonna pick the ones that seems the most fun. Kenton's Cove McScrappy's Slide Phantom Theatre Zodiac Tumble Bug looks like a blast!
  9. Who knows, maybe in 2012 KI will do a huge overhaual for their 40th anninversery(fixing up the crypt, improving SOB somehow, painting FD, restoring original effects on BLSC, new coaster, putting restrooms in X-Base) That would be great!
  10. I really hope they do something with SOB soon. I've seen it just STANDING there for almost a year and a half now wondering what's gonna happen. It's like Cedar Fair is pretending it didn't exist(and they probably WISH it didn't exist). The suspense is killing me!!!
  11. The key word there is "theoretical" (although that is not how RCDB.com states it). Neither Firehawk or Beast is anywhere near capable of hitting those numbers. Maybe not Firehawk but The Beast probably has that much capicity. The Beast line always seems to move fast for me. Also, their trains are made up of 6 3-row cars witch means their is A LOT of rows that riders can scramble too. Yet the downtime on Beast seems to be a factor because of it's old age and the small seats that riders have to get situated into so I'm not really sure...
  12. It would be great if they kept the spongebob 3-d ride but just change the film. They could maybe contact Stephen Hillenburg (the creator of Spongebob) to write a new storyline for the ride. This seems highly unlikely, but it WOULD be awesome!
  13. OMG! If u look closely at the area, it seems to slightly resemble the shape of Texas!
  14. The Official WindSeeker Poll!!!(not really)
  15. I completely agree with you. This ride looks like it's not thrilling at all. Sure, it's 300 feet tall but all it does is go in circles. Basically it's an observation tower. I mean, Eiffel Tower is 300 feet tall. And thats not thrilling. Also, I HATE the name and color scheme. I don't see how people are gonna be like "Hey, let's ride WindSeeker" They should've built a Screamin' Swing instead. And to all those people who defend CF, I'M NOT SAYING THIS TO BE NEGATIVE AGAINST CF, ITS JUST MY OPINION!
  16. It's impossible to put my hands up on Vortex. FOF is really fun to put your hands up on. On Firehawk you can put your hands up, well, "out" I should say. I can usually put my hands up on Beast and Backlot.
  17. I've been wondering about this for years. Flight of Fear is a STEEL coaster and doesn't have the hanger shaped track like Vortex does yet it's still in my opinion the roughest ride in the park. Yes, even rougher than SOB was. I sometimes feel like like I'll bang my head on the side of the car. Thank GOD it has lap bars I wonder how bad it would've been If I rode FOF when it had OTSR's. Luckily in those days I was 3. FOF is still one of my favorite coasters in the park. Having lap bars is what saved this ride. On topic: Why is FOF so rough?... EDIT: This is just out of curiousity. I actually love how FOF whips me around like that.
  18. 1# Maverick 2# Top Thrill Dragster 3# The Beast 4# Flight of Fear 5# Millenium Force Millenium Force just seemed "meh" to me for some weird reason that I don't know. I wished I liked it more. It's just that since the train goes so fast up the lift it didn't give the very back-seat seat rider, (aka:me) that yanking experience you get on other coasters. It was still "fun" yet dissapointing.
  19. There's a trick to riding a stand up-you bend your knees a little and just stand against the back board. I like them personally-they are adjustable to height and weight and very accomodating to most. Still, no thanks. I'd rather have a Dive-Machine. From what I know from waiting in line for Mantis, stand-ups seem to have a very low capacity.
  20. I'd really not want a stand-up at KI. I rode Mantis at Cedar Point and it was HORRIBLE.
  21. I still go with Kings Island because we have Beast. And what do they have ugh...Mean Streak. I have to agree CP does have a way better location. But KI has an amazing grand entrance. And for some reason I like Diamondback a lot better than Millenium Force and Magnum.
  22. Now I'm kind of confused on why they switched the backwards racer to go forward. I know that Don Helbig said it will make the ride feel like it was back then but it could have been for another reason. Was it not a good idea to put PTC trains backwards? Was it an issue with maintenance? Or did they just do make it go forwards again for the reason Don Helbig stated?
  23. So your 101 years old eh, :)

  24. Yes, I just figured that out right after I posted my other post. What a world... Was Chang fun? Cuz' from what I know Chang is a standup. Is it better than Mantis? Because riding Mantis my first AND ONLY standup I've ridden befor, Mantis has set a bad for me impression for me on standups...
  25. Great. I can't wait to see what coaster it is. I happened to be going to Six Flags Great Adventure next summer!
