So I think it's time to pay more attention to the 66 Days diary. We're currently at Day 59, which leaves seven more days to go. According to an earlier post in this thread, each day's entries are being written on the fly by Paula... except the last six days, which were written well in advance. That leads me to believe that Days 61 to 66 will contain the biggest clues yet.

Ninja at SFMM Accident
jcgoble3 replied to Nick_Plummer's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I expected a lawsuit, but didn't expect it that fast. -
So if the seats are identical, then why can't the belts be identical also? jcgoble3, asking questions

^ Sorry you missed it. Welcome to KIC anyway!

Awesome report! Your love for coasters really comes through in your descriptions and photos.

There used to be a perfect place to move it to, but that spot is gone.

USA Today and 10 Best Readers Choice poll
jcgoble3 replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Kings Island
Kings Island is catching up! -
On each of my visits last week, when the conductors on the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad announced at dispatch that there was no smoking on the train, they specifically said "and that does include electronic cigarettes". I had not heard that before last week.

^ Especially when it's 40°F and raining. (T-shirt and shorts not recommended. )

Awesome idea. Get rid of Backlot and put the 'tiques back were they used to be.

I have never drunk a drop of coffee, so I don't know the lingo. As for pre-workout stuff, I've never really looked into that. But at this point, I think if I go, I'll be getting a hotel room that night. If nothing else, it gives me a chance to see the special shipment scheduled for the next day.

Less than 24 hours after Banshee was added to a four-year-old poll, and it's already winning.

I still don't understand why they can't just make all of the seats on the entire train "big boy seats". It can't be because smaller riders would not fit in such seats, because if that were the case, then they would be enforcing a taller height requirement for rows 4 and now 5, which they aren't. So why can't they do that?

^ Good, it's getting some love. Stricker's Grove has a kiddie whip that adults are allowed to ride.

An Interesting Drink Pass A Park Employee Offered Me Today
jcgoble3 replied to Miythandria's topic in Kings Island
That was last year, when there was indeed a lot of confusion over that stuff. This year, while there was some confusion early in the season over what exactly was included in the dining plans, I haven't encountered anyone that didn't know about the dining plans or drink wristbands. I think they've done a good job this year of properly informing employees as to exactly what all of these deals are. -
I don't do energy drinks. Most rely on being loaded with caffeine, which as I already said, doesn't affect me in the least.
-
You'd have to create a new thread with a new poll to do that.
-
I voted for Banshee!

Calling McSalsa! We need an update to the poll options! Also, holy topic bump, Batman!

I tried and failed to take a nap at KI last Monday. I've never had success with napping. I have no clue what you just said.

Mysteriously, caffeine has exactly zero effect on me. I don't understand why. And walking around HW is a workout in and of itself. I thought Indiana was supposed to be flat.

Honestly, they could make a major improvement to Tower Gardens for virtually no cost at all. Split it into smoking and non-smoking sections. Provided the smoking section is sufficiently segregated from the non-smoking section, that would allow non-smokers to rest and relax in there without being subjected to secondhand smoke. The place is certainly large enough for such a split.

The difference being that on a Haunt night, I can sleep in until 2:00 PM. A day trip to HW would require setting my alarm for around 5:00 to 6:00 AM. Saturday, I got up at 7:00 AM and got home from KI at 2:30 AM, and was almost too tired to make the 40-minute drive home. I don't want to think about what might happen if I got up two hours earlier and multiplied my drive time by six.

Yes. Coolers. Parking lot. Tailgate. Picnic. Otherwise, whole pizzas will probably be your cheapest option per person inside the park.
