That's the night of the main KIC Haunt meetup this year. Check the meetup forum for details.

Some people can't stand Halloween in September. Like me. The closer you get to a holiday, the more people there are willing to partake in activities related to that holiday.
-
Yes! An interview with a roamer would be awesome!
-
And we'll be there, since that's the day of the KIC Haunt Meetup!
-
They did. Unfortunately. Be careful what you wish for.

For anyone that was there this past weekend, check your bank and credit card statements. Some people were double-charged: http://www.wkyc.com/features/some-guests-double-charged-for-cedar-point-purchases/476918761

A thread was posted under "other parks and industry news":

If the stadium is as bad as the team, then it's time to demand that Mike Brown sell the team. He is the root of all of the Bengals' problems.

Depends on whether you're talking about nighttime (Friday/Saturday only) or daytime (Saturday/Sunday only). The nighttime stuff is NOT kid-friendly, and is recommended for ages 13 and up. All rides in Planet Snoopy are closed during that time. The daytime atmosphere is kid-friendly, and all rides are open including Planet Snoopy (possibly minus a couple of the water rides). On Saturdays, Planet Snoopy will shut down around 5pm, though, as the kid-friendly stuff comes to an end and the park transitions into the nighttime non-kid-friendly activities. I would recommend that young children be removed from the park by around 5pm to 5:30pm on Saturdays.

That would be a good thing, IMHO.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be '80s music. Anything older works as well. Sometimes people like to listen to older music, either because they think it's better than the new crap (often the case with country music nowadays) or simply because it's what they grew up with.

I believe that if you go to the self-service payment plan window next to lost and found (far right of the group sales building), you can do the payment plan there. I don't know if that allows you to bypass the convenience fee, though.

Perfect. Rickrolling everybody!

My guess is because not enough people were buying the photos. It disappeared a while before FunPix was a thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they removed the camera and reused it for Banshee or Mystic Timbers to save a little money; if so, they might not have a camera available to install there. The same could apply to Firehawk's camera.

That must have been many years ago. I've been a passholder since 2010 (except for last year) and an active member of KIC since that same year. IIRC, new passes have granted only one free visit since at least fall 2010, if not earlier, and at no point since 2010 do I recall any kerfuffle over charging an extra fee for Haunt.

That's odd. I've never heard of a park stopping a coaster train on the lift hill to evacuate just a couple people because they were scared. They must have been panicking really, really bad.

For new purchases (as opposed to renewals), you get ONE free visit on any operating day between now and December 30. You do not get the rest of the season free.

Your signature still says you're on "permanent leave". Might want to think about updating that.

Does that mean that "confused" and "sad" reactions don't count toward the reputation score?

Your the guy who constantly plays awesome Christmas music in his car so I can already see you'll love winterfest. Remind me not to ride in rcwizard13's car.

You can order the day of your Haunt visit, if you're a procrastinator like me. As Gabe said, nothing is mailed. Instead, you have to process the pass at the park. When you order online, you'll get a PDF file with a voucher for each pass; print those out and take them to the season pass processing center (door on the left side of the ticket sales building) when you arrive at the park. They'll take your photos there and hand you a season pass card for each voucher. Your one free visit will already be loaded onto that card. Your vouchers probably will not work for parking, so don't use the self-scan lanes and instead pay normally at the toll booth (I think it's $20), then go to the ticket windows after you process and show your pass and parking receipt. The sales associates there should be able to issue a refund. I have no idea regarding your question about using the free parking again for Winterfest. My guess is that it might not work, but I could be wrong. Again, as Gabe said, the lowest prices of the season are now. Beginning right after Haunt, they will start going up, and they will only continue to go up. Unlike some other parks, Kings Island does not typically put their passes on sale at any point of the year, so whatever price you see for a pass at a given point in time is the lowest price you'll ever see for that pass for that year.

Red is the Coney Mall side; blue is the X-Base side.

The first rider shirts were produced in a much larger quantity than the media day shirts (5,000+ versus probably a few hundred). Full-color printing, like on the media day shirt, can be expensive, so for the larger quantity, they probably toned it down to save money.

One year recently, they did an announcement on the Saturday of closing weekend. Of course, closing weekend is a lot later in the year now than it was then, but it's something to think about.

Awesome! Looks like a lot more KICers were in the park yesterday than I thought. There was a decent-sized KIC group there most of the day; here's four of us around lunchtime: I'm the one holding my wrist, second from viewer's left. Did you see us at any point yesterday?
