Two: here and the Jedi Council Forums, a major Star Wars message board.

I already saw that Disneyland resort hotels are ridiculously expensive, so I will be staying off site. A three-day Park Hopper ticket is currently $260, which should be within my budget (though the price will likely go up between now and then). As for renting a car, what do you mean by "home city location"?

Favorite coaster EVER

Wood: Voyage Steel: Millennium Force Overall: I don't compare wood to steel. -
You can't skip out on Magic Mountain. That's a top 3 amusement park in the world. I don't want to skip it, but the trick is getting there. Disneyland is literally across the street from the convention center and there's plenty of hotels in the immediate area, so I'll likely be staying within a reasonable walking distance of Disneyland, and I can take a bus from there to Knott's. To get to Magic Mountain, I would have to rent a car for the day and pay for parking, and it's too early to tell if there will be room in the budget for that.

^ I haven't seen them assigning seats on Diamondback since Fast Lane was introduced. They've simply been pulsing the station instead.

Update from two weeks ago: http://www.fox19.com/story/23081120/ar-12-year-old-girl-may-win-fight-against-brain-eating-amoeba EDIT: More recent update from 8/22: http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2013/08/arkansas_girl_is_third_ever_to.html Five hours after that article was published, the boy mentioned at the end of that article also beat it: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/08/22/father-says-treatment-beats-brain-eating-amoeba/2684063/ Two survivors in one day, after only two in the previous 50 years. Wow. Modern medicine is amazing.

I counted 6. Also, what's Halloween Hant? Too bad the season ends today, guess its not this year. I come up with: The headline is wrong. The article only says that the park is open Friday and Monday on Labor Day weekend, implying that it is closed Saturday and Sunday. September 11 is a Wednesday... ...and that should be September 21 anyway... ...and the park most certainly does NOT open at 0700 that day. It's spelled Haunt, not Hant. Does that match your list, or did I miss one?

This is on fox19.com, not KI's website, but I didn't feel like starting a new thread for it. See if you can count the errors in this article: http://www.fox19.com/Global/story.asp?S=23250145

Cedar Fair doesn't have $100 million to blow on one park in a single season.24 million for 2014 plus 6-7 million for 2015 equals 100 million.. Dang operating cost this 2015 attraction must be a intamin. He is referring to the cost of the "Disney-like theming".
-
^^^ The ticket pricing shown in that screenshot is probably more a factor of the park not opening until 7pm on the first Saturday of Haunt. Greatly reduced hours = lower prices (also why Fridays and Sundays cost less than Saturdays during the Halloween season).

Probably by car. -
I have platinum now, but will most likely buy a 2014 gold pass on closing day as I am unlikely to make it to any other parks except the Beach and possibly HW next year. I need to save money for a Star Wars convention, Disneyland, Knott's, and maybe Magic Mountain in April 2015.

You have an awesome physics teacher!

They may want the park as packed as possible, but I don't think it's going to be super-crowded. The fact that it's $19.99 instead of $9.99 or free will help keep the crowds down. If I had to guess, I would say that Saturday will be as crowded as an average June or July Wednesday, and Sunday and Labor Day will still be mostly dead. I just wouldn't expect walk-ons on everything that weekend. The 8th will likely also still be almost dead, but again don't expect walk-ons. But these are just wild guesses and could be way off.

From Kings Island's Facebook page: Expect those days to be more crowded than originally anticipated.

The El toro is a very reliable coaster, it has been operating for 7 years and is just now having a significant mechanical problem, also you got to remember it was the first and only wooden to have a cable lift.. Once Banshee is built and a few years after when Kings Island prepares for its next coaster addition, not many will remember SOB at that point, it will just be another gravestone alongside The Bat, screaming demon, and king cobra... I will honestly be surprised if another huge wooden coaster is built in Action Zone anytime in this century. Rumors about The Bat are still circulating, without the benefit of the Internet being around back then to help sustain them. SOB rumors, supported by the Internet, will circulate for even longer. KI would be wise IMO to not even think about building any new wooden coaster of any size anywhere in the park for at least 10 to 15 years, and a wooden hyper in Action Zone has about as much of a chance of happening in our lifetimes as the Sun going supernova. -
Not running all available trains could result from other circumstances that are not within the park's immediate control. In particular, that train you see on the transfer track may be having mechanical or technical problems that need more than one night to be fixed, or weather may be forcing them to run a reduced number of trains.

Because El Toro is the rare Intamin that does not have major proble.... oh wait. (Plus that's too close to where Son of Beast stood, and many of the general public would mistake it for SOB and think people died. Nobody in fact died on SOB, but there are plenty of rumors out there that someone did, and those rumors would get transferred to the new ride by the GP.) -
Generally, Haunt will be more crowded the closer you get to Halloween. That said, weather plays a huge role in determining crowd, more so than during the summer. Cold nights with occasional rain showers will create a dead park, but be warned that outdoor mazes and scare zones will close in the rain (I'm guessing because the rain and makeup do not play nice with each other). A warm night with no rain will be far, far more crowded.

That's not what you said the first time. And I prefer being a smartass to being a dumbass.
