2 fast passes, 1cheesesteak, 1pretzel, 1cup plain potato works fries. All put on my gold pass. Leveled up to 3 stars! One offer is $20 off 2013 pass, I hope they'll let me use it during the Haunt sale.(if there is one) This program is amazing!

Bumped to make a point. Got a fast pass for Snowwoman and I Saturday. We were celebrating her Birthday. This is what she wanted as her present. $110 for 2 passes allowed us 12 hours of unlimited riding of our favorite rides, which I assure you we got the most out of down to the line jump for the front seat of The Beast at 9:40pm(we waited until after the fireworks to ride). Without going into excessive details, we had a magical day and a birthday memory we'll carry with us forever. KI made an additional $110 plus meals off us (funperks bumped me to 3 stars for this day). Soon we'll be back in the long lines watching the fast passers marathon DB and other rides. Instead of being frustrated about waiting, we will only hope they are making memories that are half as wonderful as the ones we made during our fast pass day. Point: Before you hate on people that could be having the best day of their year (or lives for that matter), find a webcam, and think about how many people are watching you, wishing they could just be able to get through the front gates of KI and get in line to ride like your doing.

Used my Funperks wristband Saturday. You get a new 20oz paper cup each place you go. Added tip: Skyline, Outer Hanks, ET drink stand and maybe other stands we missed also serve fresh brewed sweet and unsweetened tea for those of us who don't care for soft drinks. Warning, Chik-fil-A does NOT participate in this deal.

Saw the show 1:00 Saturday. We were very entertained. My wife and I thought the dancers were dressed appropriately and did a fine job filling time between tricks. If you think they were too scantily clad DEFINITELY stay out of Soak City! Great show, highly recommend. Snowwoman got to pet the bunny and I got to be the butt of the joke. I'll get you Alonzo!!!

Friendly advise.... avoid Memphis!!(my hometown) The charm of that very dangerous city died with Elvis, Isaac Hayes, Jeff Buckley, and Andy Kaufman. (Lawler and Kaufman, Mid South Coliseum, without a doubt the greatest live theater I've ever seen)

From what I saw that main support for the photo helix has a main cement slab where the pipes come out. Then there are four slabs on each side about at ground level. The one that is south of the support( the one that's farthest from the station) is where the guy was walking around with a pole. The grass was gone around that slab as well.
-
He wasn't looking at the main support concrete, but one on the slabs off to the side.
-
Yes, We rode it both days for ERT. There was a guy out by the concrete base of the support near the ride pic camera sunday morning.

......enjoy the ride you're lucky enough to be on.

I've been waiting for the parking bosses to notice this, but they haven't, so here goes: When you enter the lot through the south entrance in the mornings there is a row of cones guiding you past the Marquee and old gold pass lot to park on the north side of the center grass strip. When you leave, you can either drive away from the park in the row, or toward the park to get on the road to exit. If you drive away from the park, the road is blocked under the Marquee with a sign in one lane of the road so you can't get to the exit light. So you have to turn around drive back to the road that separates preferred and handicapped parking from the regular parking. As you head south on this road to get out, just past where gold pass parking used to be, there is a huge yellow wooden exit sign that points away from the park. Many cars have turned where this exit sign is and there is no place to exit. They end up driving around behind the cones til they find a spot big enough to cut through. You're supposed to go past the big exit to a smaller exit sign leading you out to the right. Very confusing to people. I know KI doesn't want us to leave, but would someone take a chainsaw to the sign? Or just simplify an exit route. Have any of you noticed this problem or other new parking lot oddness?

Agreed... How can we tell KI how much we enjoy the park if they can't even hear us?
-
You kids...why when I was a kid... Why I'd walk five miles to the waterpark, of course back then it was just a mud hole.....walked in the snow.....up hill......both ways......Get off my lawn!! Seriously, how cool is it for KIPR to let us know what's going on at the park? The answer is "Very"!

C'mon .... Try even monsters have MUMMIES!!! This is very unterp like.

I'm thinking about starting a thread to discuss what rides should be open for ERT Beast/DB or WindSeeker/Vortex.
-
Seems to happen mostly on Beast and DB... Friends, family, or a group will get in ques in front and behind us instead of next to each other. Then after the ride starts they will proceed to desperately scream at whoever is on the other side of us to get their attention. I've often told them that they'll be there at the end of the ride to fully discuss what they both experienced 2 minutes earlier instead of screaming directly in our ears.

I'm not sure if you're actually Mr. Helbig or someone who works for him. Regardless of who you are, I can't begin to tell you how impressed I (and hopefully others here) am that you take time out of what has to be intense pressure and craziness of this day to update us on what's going on at our beloved park. That's a classy act, and it didn't go unnoticed!

Where is B & M?.... Do we need to drive there?.... I've got a full tank of gas!! How can I help!!!!! They have a place in or near Cincy, Ohio. I know they make and store track there. But not sure on parts. Let's hope they have an extra double secret special fix it part here in Cincy!!
-
The new modification would seem to limit the centrifugal force that made the seats swing out when at full speed. Sitting on the inside seat and looking straight down was about the only intense element of the ride to me. It's possible losing that swing out effect will just make it a tall merry-go-round. We'll see.

I talked to the owner for awhile once. He told me he spent a great deal of time and got most of his influence for his recipes in Memphis and around Mississippi.(Photos on the wall serve as his tribute) So he's familiar with true cheap BBQ joints, so I was surprised at the prices as well. I agree that the pulled pork is the best of the meats. Try the turnip greens if your a fan.

One of my favorite places. Wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner there. Best BBQ I've ever had. I used to love City BBQ...But, I tried a new place near 275 and Dixie HWY in Springdale called SMOQ. After I ate there I wanted to drive over City BBQ and throw rocks at them for lying about having the best BBQ in Cincy! I grew up in Memphis, worked and ate much BBQ in KC, Texas, and North Carolina, so I consider myself a bit of a BBQ common sewer Trust me, this place is amazing. SMOQ

As of yesterday, they had the water riders on the inside seats and what looked like sandbags on the outer seats. Looking up the poles that hold the seats on, there is now a pipe with a shock absorber in the middle running from seat pole to seat pole about 10 to 15 feet down from where they connect at the top. (I hope that made sense) Basically there's a ring of pipes with shocks connecting all the seat poles. Not analyzing, just reporting.

^ Maybe try Flying Ace Aerial Chase, Surf Dog, or Woodstock Express.

Wow...what a flashback.... the first movie I ever worked on was "Mystery Train". Jim called it "A Tuesday Night In Memphis" while we were shooting it. Nice random reference!! -
YES, YES,YES,YES!!!! Maybe KI can change the font size on their site to make it easier to read. I have no clue where I got that idea.
