  1. I mean... It's an Arrow, so the manual override is a foot pedal (Cyclone might even be old enough that the pedal is the ONLY restraint unlock mechanism, I don't remember from my last visit). I don't think pressing the pedal would exactly count as kicking, but to the casual observer sitting in the train, it might look like it.
  2. Can't bash you for that one. I've been known to do so myself, as one Thrill_Biscuit can attest to.
  3. In April or October, nothing whatsoever. Though I personally would not attempt to wear cargo pants to a park in, say, July.
  4. Or a 5D theater like at Kentucky Kingdom! It makes one think that we're in the Age of Aquarius or something...
  5. I said "during Haunt" which would imply that (as well as no access prior to 6 PM on Saturdays), but to clarify beyond any chance of uncertainty, it is correct that there is no access when Urgent Scare is not in operation (which would include Sundays).
  6. I never even knew that Delta Delta Die had been renamed to Sorority House. Shows how often I look at the Park Map, I suppose. - homestar92, who ironically uses laminated copies of the new unfolded park maps (from KI, KD, CWi, and KI Haunt) as placemats...
  7. It's that building between the two tracks of The Racer when they split. It's accessible during Haunt because Urgent Scare is there, but it is currently not used for anything during the regular season. To get to it, walk past Vortex and WindSeeker and under the turnaround of Red Racer.
  8. After recently spending four years in a college dorm, what is allowed and what happens are two VERY different things.
  9. Days like today make me wish KI had the "no bags" line for security that they have at SFGAm...
  10. I can conjecture with a reasonably high degree of certainty that SeaWorld will not be moving any of their attractions to Worlds of Fun
  11. Ah, OK. That would be it then. The tax did seem a bit lower than it should have been when I bought mine.
  12. Your first payment will also include the sales tax for the full price of the pass, so make a note of that too. Your first payment will likely be considerably higher than any of the rest.
  13. However, if you will be coming to the park with somebody who is a 2015 gold or platinum passholder, then you will be able to park for free with their pass. As long as the passholder is in the car, you should be good to go!
  14. My second ever ride on a wooden coaster was the very back row of Beast in its 2010 form... And 2010 Beast was exceptionally rough compared to how it rides now. It's entirely possible that my perception of roughness has been skewed dramatically by that fact as well. Side note: I also find that the Carowinds Hurler is not at all rough. Now, the KD version...
  15. I agree that Iron Dragon is more painful than Mean Streak. By which I mean that in my experience, neither of them have ever been painful in the least little bit.
  16. I just have my pass in my Android Pay account. And will continue to do so unless the park says that the App is the only acceptable form of digital admission. When given the choice between having all of my season passes and loyalty cards in one place vs having needless fragmentation, I'll opt to keep my stuff in the same place. Every time.
  17. For what it's worth, I have been in touch with the one loved one I have in Seattle, and she is fortunately safe and sound. Thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery to everyone injured, and for peace to the families and loved ones of those whose lives were tragically cut short in this horrible accident..
  18. In regards to the park seeming like it was once themed: According to some park maps that I've seen scans of from the park's Six Flags days, it would seem that the back section of the park (where Thunder Run and the Flying Dutchman are) was once supposedly themed to a Bavarian Village. I also believe that the Zeppelin ride that is now in the kids' area was once back there too.
  19. Or All Wheels Extreme, which has some similarities.
  20. I'll take a Mack Mouse for $500, Alex. And before anyone tries the capacity argument: Canada's Wonderland, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Great Adventure. All large parks that are ostensibly comparable in size, attendance, and number of rides to KI. All manage a Mack Mouse just fine.
  21. ^ There's probably some wood in the station somewhere, so it's wooden. Because as long as there is wood on the ride somewhere, we apparently call it wooden now.
  22. You should take a look at KI on Bing Maps in their Birds-Eye view mode. Their photos weren't all taken at the same time, so sometimes everything is normal, sometimes Firehawk isn't even there.
