Errors on VisitKingsIsland.com
https://www.visitkingsisland.com/rides/Thrill-Rides-12-14-11-44/Flight-Deck Exhibit A: The URL is wrong. What is this "Flight Deck"? Exhibit B: If you view the video for the ride, it shows this "Flight Deck" ride again. I kid, obviously they need time to get these things changed. It'll be interesting to see how that works out. This will be the first time since Cedar Fair became owner of KI that a single ride is going to get renamed isn't it? Obviously there was the mass De-Paramounting of 2008 and Snoopy in 2010, but this is different than both of those cases. Actually, this may be the first time since Drop Zone was renamed that an individual ride will be renamed. -Homestar92, being clever with his wording in the hopes that someone is confused by it and made to feel silly.

Banshee Construction Progress
It is not because of the lift. Other B&M coasters loop around the lift and the are not that far apart. Perhaps Don can answer why the base of the loop is so wide. No other B&M Inverts wrap around the lift. Perhaps it could actually still be relevant.

Coaster Clubs?
I've just joined GOCC. The membership is a Christmas present from my parents, which makes it even better. The perks look very nice. I will be using, at the very least, the discounted admission to Dollywood. Now I have to ask, how do such perks work? Do I have to buy tickets at the park, or can I buy online and use some kind of access code? (Or should I say Accesso code! Ha! I'm funny... Right?)

Work Near Adventure Express
But it could be moved to another location within the park relatively easily if needed.

Kentucky Kingdom
What would the cost be for a relocated coaster for KK? I can think of at least one good B&M in Myrtle Beach that could be a good signature attraction and currently has no park to call home.

Your Favorite Kings Island Element
Vortex's second loop. In a close second was Flight Deck's near-miss with Son of Beast.

Vine path to Kiddieland
I think that Cedar Fair should improve on the ivy-covered path and instead place it over a small stream. That way, they can have an Ivy Bridge. I think an Ivy Bridge would really help people process everything going on around them. - homestar92, waiting to see if anyone picks up his horrible pun.

Vine path to Kiddieland
It is at least nice to know that you can walk under a vine path at a Cedar Fair park though. On my trip to Carowinds in 2012, I stood under theirs for several minutes, just to take in what I missed out on at KI. It's a very cool feeling standing under one of those. You can see the Carowinds vine path in the background of this pic. I wish I had thought to take one from a closer angle, but hey, it gives me an excuse to go back to Carowinds, right? Of course, having ridden Mantis, Exterminator, Raven and soon Banshee, I don't think any of my favorites from my last trip would impress me as much if I were to go back... They've all since been one-upped by a coaster of a similar type.

The Bat flies again at Kings Island
I don't want to be a burden... Or perhaps more apropos for a suspended coaster: "I told you no good would come from city folks and their flyin' machines!"

Banshee Construction Progress
I thought about doing something like this, but just haven't gotten around to it What can I say, I'm a nerd with a penchant for scripting In all honesty, a three-line shell script was all it took. Though I imagine it's a lot easier since I have my own server. Most shared hosting services won't let you run programs on their servers.

KI Photo Chain Game: 2013 edition
I got plenty of these. Easy: A picture from the Eiffel Tower Hard: A picture from the Eiffel Tower with a coaster visible Expert: A picture from the Eiffel Tower with two or more coasters visible

KI Photo Chain Game: 2013 edition
The photo of SoB's construction may be a bit too long ago to be considered "current". I would personally consider current to be within the last 2 or 3 years. So your first 2 are fine, but perhaps think about changing your third challenge?

Banshee Construction Progress
Just so everyone knows, I have a server downloading the webcam image every 10 minutes. I have an index page here: http://Vortex.beansisland.com/pics/KI/Banshee/ You can use those if you want. But please download and re-host the captures if you want to post one of them here. My bandwidth is relatively limited on that server. EDIT: I should add that it does not do any capturing between 10PM and 5AM. I can't imagine that anything would be happening at those times. ANOTHER EDIT: I have a backup server at this address: http://beast.beansisland.com/pics/KI/Banshee/ use that one if for some reason the other goes down. Just know that it only captures every 30 minutes.

A State can't be assumed based on county name. There's a Brown county in Indiana, a Butler County in Pennsylvania, a Warren County in New York, and a Hamilton County in Tennessee.

KI Photo Chain Game: 2013 edition
I'm going to use Malem's challenges since he responded first. But, that is a nice picture CP&LERR Fan. I added some clarification to the rules post, in case there was any confusion. I promise, the ride vehicle is there Easy: A photo with a coaster train on the lift hill Hard: A photo with two coaster trains on their lift hills Expert: A photo with three coaster trains on their lift hills.

KI Photo Chain Game: 2013 edition
Last season, TOPGUN1993 started a photo chain game. This ended up being a very popular offseason game, so I'm going to copy over his rules (with a few modifications that I felt would be acceptable) and start the game back up for this offseason. It'll help us kill time until we're all riding our new Flying Purple People Eater Rules: The post above yours will have three choices of locations in the park one "easy," one more specific "hard," and an extremely specific "expert." Feel free to use unanswered challenges as your own challenges! If no one responds for over 2 days or so feel free to skip the photo and move on. Use your personal photos you've taken. No searching the net for photos. Keep photo locations CURRENT (Not necessarily previous season, but use common sense) Try to compress your pictures at least a little if you can, for bandwidth sake. Most image hosting sites will take care of this for you. BE CREATIVE Your goal is to answer the Expert levels before the Easy levels Easy: (A basic simple practical location in the park) Hard: (A more specific practical location in the park) Expert: (Very specific practical location in the park) I'll start things off with a challenge rather than a picture. Easy: A picture taken in Action Zone Hard: The Graveyard set up in Action Zone to coincide with the Banshee announcement Expert: A park-approved picture from a normally off-limits location (should be easier than in years past for many of you ) Once any of the challenges have been answered, you must respond to the new challenges placed by the previous poster. Feel free to reuse an unanswered idea, though.

The Bat flies again at Kings Island
I'm gonna be "that guy" for a minute... There is every possibility that the sign coming down is meaningless. It may just be getting a fresh coat of paint. Though I can think of other signs in AZ that need it more...

What ride would you remove from Kings Island?
I would happily get rid of Tombstone Terror-tory though.

What ride would you remove from Kings Island?
Did YoungStud post from your account? Lol no, I don't dislike it NEARLY as much as he does, nor do I find it remotely rough. I just think that pretty much every other coaster at KI is better.
-
Banshee Construction Progress
There was a ride barreling through there in 2009 and it never seemed to be an issue.

Hey look, it's the Batcam

Banshee Construction Progress
I could only count 27 loops. What was your count? Probably Firehawk. Lots of debate on how many inversions it actually has.

What ride would you remove from Kings Island?
You'd remove the second biggest people eater after Banshee? You must like long lines at Beast and Vortex. Besides, there's more that can make a ride entertaining than just forcefulness. Even if you personally can't enjoy the coaster, perhaps you could catch up on your reading? That's why I made a distinction between my two answers But this is in a hypothetical scenario in which something has to be removed. If I don't remove Diamondback, I HAVE to remove something better, and I'd rather have longer lines at that "something better" than have it be removed.

What ride would you remove from Kings Island?
If I HAD to remove a ride, and I'm thinking from a personal standpoint as a customer, I would remove Diamondback. We already have a boring steel coaster in Planet Snoopy. I can live without one in the main park. If I were managing the park and trying to turn a profit as best I can, and for whatever reason, I had absolutely NO choice but to remove something, I would remove Congo Falls, purely because there are other water rides to fill the gap, and I think that the impact of losing that ride would be less than the impact of losing any others. Plus, the removal of that would open up land in an area that seems to be the center of attention right now. - Homestar92, stating his honest opinions, whether you like it or not.
