The updated Star Tours was pretty cool last summer. That was in dire need of a re-do, and, they did a great job with it. -
One wears their sunglasses out of the station, to the top of the lift hill...then, hold them in ones hand during the duration of the ride. The feeling of "falling out" is supposed to be like that. Try riding it at 6'6", 240 lbs. Rubs right on my shins. Biggest problem with the ride, to me, is capacity, and downtime. Fun ride, though. Best ridden at 10am..or, at night. FWIW, this does not belong in the KIPOLLS area...

They can't get rid of the Backlot Tour...I've been in the Harbor Attack show twice...drenched once. I hope they keep it, but, times do change. -
Indeed. Sweat, dust flying, workers with furrowed brows, the works. Been to the park 7 times, more work going on yesterday than all 6 other trips combined.

Yesterday, they were working furiously on a number of footers behind Slingshot, as well as newer ones in the space between where we think the transfer track will be, and the triangle footers.

I've never, ever waited in the queue line for BLSC. Nor would I ever.

Don took care of the issue that you could be questioned on, rather quickly. Welcome aboard the crazy train!

So which is it? If your "source" is so reliable, why are you now saying it will be an Intamin? I think that one hopes that if one throws enough mud against a wall, some might just stick... Or, my other thought is that some post nonsense to try and get a reaction from people. I think my second thought is right in this posters case. The track record shows just that...not just in this thread, but others. So much so, that I have thought about blocking his posts.

If it is a waste to you, don't ride it. Didn't cost much, looks beautiful at night, is usually a walk on, is a great way to cool off on a hot day without getting soaked. May not be your cup of tea, but, how does one consider putting a good looking, inexpensive ride in an unutilized place in the park a waste?

How many facepalms fit here? In fact , maybe they should just name this coaster the Facepalm. Not to be a curmudgeon, or, not to make you feel unwelcome, but, please read the terms of service...

Rivertown Potato Works, and the occasional Christian Moerlein Maibock.

Simply put, I think that the best deodorant from the stench that was SOB is a record breaking coaster in it's place. The folks in charge now know what they are doing, unlike previous ownership/administrations. They have plenty of land. They have plenty of cash. They have a coaster manufacturer that is well equipped to build anything that the customer wants. They have plenty of bad publicity to put in the rear view mirror. They are going to build what they are going to build...but I don't think for a second it will be anything small, short, or insignificant. Too much is at stake. The plans are done, folks. Perhaps, as with any building job, an unforseen tweak here or there... Just a matter of digging, pouring, and putting it together at this point.

Umm...just saying, the clearing behind FOF not related to SOB...pretty sure that's a maintenance road. (Checks Google Maps, which has pre-SOB demolition images)...yep. A 7,000+ foot long coaster sat in that spot...just saying.

What does Dale Earnhardt have in common with Pink Floyd? Both of their last big hits were with The Wall. Had to...sorry

It would certainly be a wee bit on the brisk side today... Hopefully, this won't scuttle anything in relation to The Beach opening back up. Always did like that place. Hope to get there this season at some point, and see the work they've done. Place was falling to pieces last visit.

Don has said that over, and over, and over... Yet, you still get those who insist differently. Just in looking at the overhead photos, and the design of other B&M coasters, there is no way to use the existing station. When you think logically about it, lay of the land aside, there is no exit for that station into a gift shop, which is how it is done in 2013. But, sometimes folks want to be contrarians just to be contrarians.

That's the work I've been seeing the past week or so. Nice shots!!!

Perhaps, with this new project, the designer can Aspire to follow the Contour of the land, and create a ride with the proper Tempo.

If the answer is "no" could it be because the Ford 300 hasnt been out since the early 60's? Or because the Maverick ceased in the 70's? The Zephyr? Ford made a 500. The previsouly discussed Mustang? The Focus of this Probe has really made me an Explorer. Maybe King's Island could have a special queue for people on a budget - called the Econo line? Change a certain front of the line wristband to the Fair Lane? Go to Hanks for a Fiesta, followed by an afternoon siesta? We may need to have an Escort off the premises.
