  1. I didn't particicpate in the fund raiser, had no idea how media day worked (I regret not looking into either of those things) and missed a first rider shirt by ten minutes... I hope someone will put one up for $20 or something I may get it. I'd like to say it doesn't matter that much to me, but it does. I was very upset. >_< At least I have my Diamondback first rider shirt. but it's old and worn out. I think it's interesting that some Firehawk first rider shirts are showing up in the search results for Banshee shirts on ebay, I had never seen a Firehawk first rider shirt. one is $16 which is as cheap as most other shirt in the gift shops. I like to live life thinking that Karma will always win out in the end...that if you do the right things in life, help out people in need, that the right things and help will return upon you down the road. That runs the other way for me too, that, when you are greedy, take what isn't rightfully yours, though it may pay off up front, that you will pay 10 fold in the end. So, may the fickle finger of fate cost those selling the extra Banshee shirts that you didn't get $500, or more. May the fleas of a thousand Afghan camels infest their crotch, and may their arms be too short to scratch. I also do think that, in spite of KI's best efforts, that they did royally screw the pooch yesterday in offering FL+ for Banshee, with the expected crowds. Again, the nickels that the park made selling the passes left a bad taste with many customers...a 4 and a half hour wait is terrible, when you've got people marathoning the ride. That said, I knew yesterday would be a clusterf**k, which is why my opening day is tomorrow. I do, however, know where to get a first rider shirt if I want one...fleas optional.

  3. Anyone who took more than one shirt should be publicly depantsed. Shame on whomever gave them out too. Shameful all around.
  4. Opening on Good Friday was a stroke of genius...though, even though I have the ability to go today, wouldn't be caught dead around a crowd like that. Too many people... http://youtu.be/0P_HKQGq730
  5. I'll be there Sunday morning...can't wait! Looks like the reviews are making it out to be what I thought it would be, and more! Arguably the best invert in the world! The theming looks like nothing coaster wise that Cedar Fair has EVER done before.
  6. Ooh, you're right at the height limit... I hope you can ride Banshee I can...I have the "slouch" down pat.
  7. We were planning to head to CW this year, but, have switched that to a trip to Cedar Point. Going to get there Sunday evening June 8th via Detroit (seeing TIgers vs. Red Sox), leave out Weds June 10th. Night rides on Sunday, then Cadillac it around for two more days, staying at Hotel Breakers as well. Cedar Point having the Platinum Pass benefits on their website allows me to clearly plan my trip, knowing what I get as a passholder. I can GUESS what by benefits at my home park are, but, cannot see them in writing anywhere.
  8. I'm 240 lbs...but, also, 6'6". I have to scrunch down a bit on Drop Tower, and Vortex. That said, due to that, I think that I have ridden my last rides on Vortex. That ride just beats the stuffing out of me anymore. Rougher than a night in jail, even in 5-1.
  9. In fairness, he is right on here...look at Cedar Point's website, and their platinum pass benefit page. Spelled out, as clear as day...early entry, ride nights, bring a friend days, the works. I don't know why that can't be done for our park by now...opens in three days.
  10. A footlong coney with mustard and cheese, and a chocolate malt please...
  11. ERT time on April 20th for me...hopefully, a half hour wait, or less.
  12. Looks very, very nice. Well themed...which one hopes is a sign of things to come with this management group.
  13. Love this part of the article... Guests will get up close and personal (without cages or boundaries) with elephants, giraffes, chimpanzees, wolves, lions, meerkats, skunks, rabbits, cows, rhinos, sea lions, black bears, seagulls, impalas, alpacas, worms, red-winged blackbirds, foxes, chickens, zebras, really angry birds, sharks, toucans, tigers, octopi, ostriches, gorillas and more. Bananas and raw meat will be available for a nominal fee for guests who'd like to kick their thrill up a notch by feeding the animals. In addition, an all-new musical revue will entertain guests of all ages. "Stay Away From Me, You Furry Beast!" features songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's, all with lyrics pertaining to the fear of animals.
  14. I'm telling you...after riding the B&M coasters that Universal has to offer over and again this week, Banshee is going to be a world beater. I cannot wait to ride it, though, since I have to slouch to ride RipRide Rocket, the 78" height limit may make my posture poor.
  15. We do know what is going in there...I sincerely hope that it will be a non-smoking area.
  16. "No one knows who they were or what they were doing But their legacy remains, Hewn into the living rock...of Stonehenge.. Stonehenge! Where the demons dwell Where the Banshees live and they do live well..."
  17. There is a ton of land to build just about whatever they would want to build coaster wise...I would say that somebody knows what is planned.
  18. They are making a special place where Intamin fanboys can gather, in the shadow of Banshee, and have a nice, cool, shady place to sit, eat ice cream and chicken, and whine about not having an Intamin Giga coaster.
  19. This will work out perfect for our trip to Cedar Point this summer.
  20. One thing I have wondered...how many topics are you going to start? I may be out of line here, and please correct me if so, but is there any way that you could be a little more judicious on the amount of topics you are starting, and the content of said topics? Thank you in advance. We welcome new members with open arms, but, keep in mind, there is a decorum that we choose to follow, and, blowing up the board with eleventy billion silly new threads is one way to have us lose that lovin' feelin'.
  21. "Hats for bats, keep bats warm."
  22. The queue near the brake run will possibly be in range of protein spills. Hopefully they have something there to keep people in line out of the splash zone... Banshee isn't going to have a splashdown. Where do you see the splash zone in the blueprints? The "splash zone" would be from personal protein spills...
  23. Never given DA a tour...didn't seem worth the extra $$. I will check it out this season.
  24. The relationship between Cedar Fair, and this particular "free public anonymous internet message board" is such that, yes, there is a good reason.
