They were working diligently yesterday, working on a freshly poured footer, a HUGE one, over near where the ride station would be located, in a ravine between there the current footers are, and Slingshot. Also, moving and compacting dirt on the hill behind where the current work is going on. Many new footers dug since last weeks trip, in the same area as the current work being done.

What should have been done to the "panic attack" rider...

These diversions are all in good fun...though, a Dippin Dots stand at the top of a 309 foot lift hill would be pretty sweet...
-
At least they're not Bogaert's. Or Bill Clintons...

Went to park yesterday...they were doing some serious digging in the area where, if one extrapolates where the current footers are, would be where the bottom of the first drop would be/where SOB's was. Could only see it from Flight Deck, no way to get photos.

I personally do not like how they left The Crypt building and SoB's station. I think they are eye soars and waste room for future expansion. But, Im not in charge and I cant change anything! The eyeSORES are being used as Halloween Haunts, one of them a GREAT one (Crypt), for the forseeable future. As long as they are using the structures, I don't see a problem.

On Weds, you will have no problem riding everything multiple times. If you start at Firehawk, do that and Flight of Fear, work down to Vortex/WindSeeker, from there, around to the Backlot Stunt Coaster. From there, down to Beast, then to Diamondback. Or, start at DB, work the opposite way around to FOF, then Racer, then Adventure Express, then up to Invertigo, Drop Tower, and Flight Deck. Very easy park to navigate.

I suppose Terpy is right, to a point. With the buzz that the new coaster will bring, will likely see an influx of new folks here. That said, I would think that it would be common sense, regardless of where one would post, regardless of what site, topic, etc, to put a wee bit more thought into your first topic than this...to start with "I heard", a topic beat to death, one sentence, we're already 0 for 3. I certainly don't feel I did anything over the top in voicing my displeasure.

There would be plenty of room for the queue line to the back of Delirium, near where the entrance to TA was. I think you'll see, similar to DB, the entrance and exit in close proximity, where the exit will dump into a gift shop, then into Action Zone, or whatever it will be called...unless, of course, they move/remove Slingshot.

Do any of these "new" members even bother to read the TOS anymore? SMH.

Given the fact that SOB's station still stands, I bet there's a more than good chance that it will become the station for the new ride, since it's a lot cheaper to touch up the station than build anew. CF is not going to keep a station just for Haunt. It was meant to serve a short term purpose until its new main purpose can be utilized much like The Bat station became Vortex's station. No way...they may use the SOB station somewhere down the road for another ride, but, for the forseeable future, will be a haunt attraction. If you actually take a little time, and look at the photo of the lay of the land, what you are insinuating would be impossible, short of tearing out the restrooms. Station will be behind Slingshot, lift hill will go out towards where the SOB first drop was.

That was obvious to anyone who was there this past weekend...if one bothered to look. KI is not really trying to hide anything, not obscuring the construction that is going on. The only thing left to do at this point is to hold the press conference to announce the name of what they are building.
-
That drawing isn't to scale...there is plenty of room behind Slingshot...it should not be going anywhere. Why would they get rid of a revenue generator?
-
It should now also be obvious that the old SOB building is indeed staying put as a Haunt attraction...at least for the "forseeable future".
-
Seemed to go all the way up to me...looked up while riding, was at the top. For whatever reason, though, didn't seem that the seats were swinging as far out as in the past. Stayed at the top for longer cycle too.
-
Just a matter at this point of when they make the announcement...since you can plainly see the progress being made. From what I saw last night, they have progressed quite a bit from last week.
-
Rode it last night...they have the "rescue basket" behind a new fence along the path back to the action theater.

Where's the best place in the park to watch the fireworks?
Bennett replied to Big Woody's topic in Kings Island
On WindSeeker is far and away the best fireworks experience I've had. -
Once. Or, twice...

I've had a beer in line numerous times at KI...never been a word said to me.

One would think that a ride on the Drop would tell the tale...

Looking at great pics of Disney never gets old...thanks. We are headed that way in July, wife and daughter are going to make a one day trip to IOA, while I stay at the rental in Melbourne Beach. I do not feel the need to spend $120+ to stand in the Harry Potter lines during the week of July 4th...
