Downtown Disney (Orlando)

The idea is to go down late in the afternoon and just enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney, and enjoy a meal. Any restaurants (with avg price for meal) you guys would recommend? -

Or a reference to a body of water known as a.. bay- a body of water partially enclosed by land. -
As BB1 pointed it out, it is still being utilized to this very day. And the event that happens on that stage the last week of June will make for a very busy three days at the park.

Downtown Disney (Orlando)
kingsrattler replied to kingsrattler's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Well its actually on Turkey Lake Rd, but I'm staying at Westgate Lakes Resort.. stayed there a couple years ago when we were in Orlando for 3 days, and comfort to price ratio, one of the best places I have stayed in. -
Hello- I'm going to Orlando in May. We will be staying off at a hotel on International Drive, and mainly focusing on Universal, but thought about going to Downtown Disney for an evening. Is this possible? I know it's advertised as "free" as you don't have to have admission, but do you need to be staying on Disney's properties to visit? If it is possible, does anyone know the cost of parking? I know we have a few Disney "experts" here, so I'm all ears.

Didn't we just have an issue on another topic of how someone with multiple accounts had one shut down?

Welcome to the kic! Just for future practice, it is usually customary to search the forums to see if given topic has been posted yet. As browntggrr pointed out, this has a topic open about it and is being discussed there. But anywho, hope you enjoy the KIC community

Just a random thought, but does anyone(and by anyone, I mean anyone who is capable of contributing to this forum that reads this post, I'm sure "someone" knows) know if the Venkoma Flying coaster at Carowinds has the same downtime issues?

A ride like Curse of Darkastle.

As long as it is not Vortex, Mrs. Kingsrattler and I will most likely be there.

What is the likeliness we will get the same treat as Canada's Wonderland did last year, and get to ride Diamondback for the event?

I'd post something clever, but it's only funny once...

This has been discussed a little bit in this topic : New Zero G Coaster Design -
And Bluegrass Boardwalk is a go. You can follow their twitter at @Bluegrassbwalk. Something interesting I saw posted on there: So they are going to try and do the free soft drink/sunscreen thing also. Good luck to them. They also tweeted new attractions in 2013. Interesting indeed.

Has anyone else had difficulty printing off the tickets? When I try to do it, it either doesn't send it to my printer, or sends it to my printer in a format my printer can't decipher.

That's a lot of piles of asphalt/dirt laying in the parking lot.

Unless you work Monday - Friday, then going on a Saturday would not be a waste of time.

I have to agree with Gordon.. as inefficient I think the freestyle Coke machines would be at a self service level, I think they would be even more inefficient in a service model.

"There are a lot of things I want to change long-term, but the people are not one of them. We have great people working at Cedar Fair." He gets that employees want to be told they are doing a good job, and get the sense they are appreciated. You can already see that he is a great macro-manager, and understands "the big picture"
