I rode the Red Racer in the front seat today and the ride was a whole lot funner than it was riding in the middle.

Who's to say they're not working on a decision now? Stuff like this can't be rushed. The safety of the park's patrons is far more important than making a rushed decision that may end up with a negative outcome again. So please stop saying the park needs to, the park doesn't "need" to do anything. If SOB was in really bad condition they probably would have done something by now. If they open the ride and another person happens to get injured that would the give the park a terrible reputation. SOB has already been given a bad name, but that incident would make the situation worse.

I'll be heading to the park Thursday too. I was a little undecisive at first with it being the day after the 4th. But I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

Yes and maybe they can name it Son of Dragster or SOD for short.

We are on the same line as a couple grocery stores. So we get our power on pretty quickly. I remember when we had that huge windstorm back around 08'. Most people were without power for weeks, while we were only out for a few hours.

Even though the lockers are expensive. I'd rather pay 15 dollars than have to replace a phone, credit cards, or an ipod.

This thread is a never ending story. You have the villains (RCCA), the civilians (us), secret agents who claim to have information on the ride's future, and the occasional SOB fanatic that forgets common English.

A lot of people who come to Kings Island don't know about the incidents. They see a huge wooden coaster and assume it's going to be awesome. There still are quite a bit of people who know about the incidents, but I've noticed that there are a lot more people asking questions like what coaster is that and why isn't it open.

Yeah it's really dry in Brookville too. All the rain we got the other day did not even make a slightest difference. -
It isn't that rare. I've seen it happen a few times and evacs aren't too bad, depending on the situation.

You don't happen to tell fortunes do you?

Three klicks West of Neverland and not a second too late.

Amen! I love coasters that run low to the terrain and have a lot of quick turns/hills.

I would love for it to happen. But it would never have the charm that the park used to have.

It will be used for a haunt attraction this year and possibly upcoming years. But I know me and some others on here wish they would bring the wrecking ball to it and that other thing in AZ. Todos los hilos conducen a Hiljo de la Bestia!

I agree with GYK. Even though people tend to disagree a lot, I don't have a problem with anyone here. The forums are a great place to meet old and new friends, plus talk about what we love. I'm glad that I found out about this site and joined.

I finally got up to 1 star

I don't understand why people keep praising Paramount like they were the "gods" of Kings Island. If anything they were the ones who turned Kings Island into an Amusement park. Sure they could theme a ride, but it lasted what two years? Praise Taft or KECO, they were the ones responsible for making Kings Island a theme park. I'm not trying to dog Paramount, I'm just tired of people blaming Cedar Fair for making Kings Island an Amusement park. Sure Cedar Fair has done stuff that I'm not fond of, but they're still doing a better job than Paramount was in the later years.

Eh, I'd probably believe the guy in the black polo shirt before him. But at least you identified your source, so I give you kudos for that.

That's because they're gigantic to a little kid...you don't expect Scooby Doo to be the size of a forklift! That and the fact that my parents would always force me to take pictures with them. They tried to get me to take a picture with Scooby one time and right before they took the picture I started crying. Then Scooby tried to give me a hug to make me feel better, so I started screaming and ran away. They had park security looking all over the place trying to find me. I don't remember much after that but from what my parents said, a couple guys found me sitting under a table.

I like the Fast Lane system, but I do agree that it can be handled differently. When I was in line for BLSC a group of people who had the wristbands had gotten off the ride, walked down to the end of the exit and then walked back to the gate. The ride op who was assigning seats then let them back on the ride, without even worrying about the people in the actual line. Me and a few others had told him what they had done and he said, "Sorry we have to let a certain amount of people with Fast Lane wristbands on first." I can't remember the exact number he said but I think it was around 15, unless there is no body in the FL line. This made me pretty mad. I don't have a problem with somebody using Fast Lane, but when it comes to crap like this it irritates me.
