I just got my second cheesesteak of the day, and GM Greg Scheid was taking a picture of the cheesesteak. Maybe he'll post it.

The cheesesteak was made fresh, and delicious. I like it more than Dollywood's.

The Fast Lane line meets the regular line just before the little uphill walk into the station. They are letting people go up after the area clears a little. Once you get into the station, the red side/ blue side divider is gone from the front half. The music could be from 90s and 00s... I'm not completely sure though.

Pop music. Also, the fence in Racer station is half gone.

In DC, they have the even more better Ben's Chili Bowl.

It looks like it to me. If you watch really carefully, you can see they edited in a yellow train that drops down the hill and comes back up, just off the side of the track on the left.

Parking was $8 a day. The $76 pass doesn't get you into the water park, only Dollywood. They offer a gold pass, that costs more, and gives free parking, as well as admission into both Dollydayworld and Splashin' Safari. There are super cheap lodgings everywhere in Pigeon Forge, like less than half of $85 a night. They are probably not the best of quality though. Hotels seem to cost more on that weekend, so it will be up to you if you want to go big or cheap. Food: I'm another fan of the cinnamon bread. If you like cinnamon rolls or anything like that, get it. They have big skillets that cook good meat/potatoes/veggies/onions and things like that. The cheese topping is just gas station dispenser stuff though(but it is freshly dispensed). Next to the train station they sell something they call a flatbread sandwich, but it is really a fajita. I thought that was strange. Ride the train, it is awesome. Thunderhead is totally awesome. One of the best coasters with the word thunder in the name. If you are driving south on 75, read thekidd33's post. Find any way around that area that you can. Even at 11pm, there are huge delays.

Rivertown Potato Works has kept the good fries. From what I've heard, CP had good fries, but changed it a few years ago to the kinzelfries. The news is that CP will again have the proper fries.

Did you ride Wild Eagle? I went last weekend, and enjoyed it, but thought the restraints were too painful on the shoulders, and kept squeezing more and more...really noticeable on the wait back into the station.

If the Sun is showing in the sky, Firehawk is painful on the lift and while waiting to get back into the station, at least for the eyes.

I have a Platinum pass from Cedar Point. To start the season in 2010, I was saddened by the removal of Scooby Doo from Kings Island, and decided to head north to Cedar Point. I figured I would still be visiting Kings Island throughout the year, so it would be the first time I upgraded to Platinum. I still visit Kings Island way more times than CP each year, but somehow it has been easier for me to renew a CP pass online.

How about opening on the Friday afternoon before opening day, and letting Gold/Platinum season pass holders get the day to themselves?

I don't hate it, unless I get paired up with a stranger that seems to think a good place for their elbow is between my stomach and my ribs.

The actual food won't look like the pictures, but we can't taste them for at least another month. The new shop on International Street with fresh pretzels ended up being the place I ate the most last year. I'll say that it is my favorite for now.

They also encourage those in line to shout out which Woodstock is flying the highest, so the crowd interaction is fun too. One unfortunate thing at Carowinds, at least in previous years, is the quality of the fries. Don't expect to get really good cheesy fries. The kind they had wasn't the same as Kings Island. Also, it felt like Intimidator didn't have as much airtime as Diamondback, especially on the second hill where it turns at the top. It is still a fun ride though. The viking boat ride swings all the way around, if you like that kind of ride.

I just noticed today that Six Flags M&M has a freestyle Coke machine. It is self-serve, just siiting inside a candy/gift shop near the checkout counter.

I think I have figured it out. Remember how Kings Island was shown on the Ghost Hunters tv show, and they would keep showing Son of Beast? What if Herbert Paul Schmeck somehow ended up a ghost inside of the park? He might be stuck there with unfinished business, unresolved since KI opened, relating to the idea to recreate his Wildcat that never went through. Obviously Kings Island is going to fix Son of Beast with the help of the Schmeck ghost and turn it into the greatest roller coaster ever possible.

It looks like someone asked him about Wendy's, and he said "Nope, it will be all in house!!" Also, there will be cheese steaks at Snake Pit, and more.

No, it isn't aggressive, but three years in a row a ride has been removed. It was still the first place I thought of when I read "Disappearing rides and waterpark expansions. Kinda reminds me of something I've seen before..."

(Cedar Point has been diminishing rides and expanding the water park too.)

The Platinum Pass renewal works without issue for the Cedar Point website. I would have thought there would be the same option on all of the new sites. Maybe you could try seeing if your Kings Island pass would be renewable on the Cedar Point site?
