  1. I think it was the big wooden thing at Action Zone. Or maybe it is the big steel thing in KennyWood? Any who neither were dark rides so I don't know which one he is talking about.
  2. As every year brings something new and fresh, we sometimes loose an iconic, classic attraction that we loved. Whether it be a high thrill ride, or a mellow boat ride, dark rides at Kings Island have definitely left a deep mark in Kings Island history and Kings Island's enthusiasts. So this week's poll is Dark Rides at Kings Island, which one was your favorite? Which one left the largest mark in Kings Island history?
  3. When you get likes from Terp from posts you vaguely remember posting.
  4. Blue Ash Chili, Skyline, Jimmy John's, and Buffalo Wild Wings just down the road. That Skyline has one heck of a train set and BAC has a great Reuben. Then if you go further there's McAllister's and some other dining spots.
  5. Oh wow, maybe it wasn't a bad idea not to buy a Platinum Pass with the Meal Plan. Better yet, how long has this been stated? Will people be given a refund if they were told otherwise just months ago and bought their meal plans? This business strategy is ludicrous, if I want dinner, I can go before the Haunt. I have done it numerous times prior I don't see how it would be different now for me. Sure people do have to eat, but they can take their money elsewhere. Also you might throw in that it is really only for 2 months, but those would be the months that I would want to use them and would be more convenient. BB1, who is just fine with some local flare instead of a theme park burger.
  6. Every year at Kings Island brings excitement and anticipation of new and better things to do at the park. From attractions to food, but one of the more volatile things is the events. Whether it be park funded or a meet up, it's always an amazing time to connect with other enthusiasts on some of your favorite attractions. With the 2015 Season over, it is a great time to ask, What was the best KI event in 2015?
  7. The Ghoster Coaster! I remember that ride vividly, going above the old Red Baron ride and just soaring above the park was amazing! Thanks for sharing, it's hard to believe just how long ago it has been since HB Land.
  8. How about Liberty Township? That seems to be going up quicker than those apartments! A good chunk has been taken off, but the original sign (from what I can see from the road adjacent not trespassing as that is a no no) in the small drop off point looks as if it is still up. That along with a few other areas. I wish I jumped on that auction as some signage would be a great wall hanger for my KI stuff.
  9. As the Off Season is still rolling through, over the past week my mind has been off the coasters, and on the turkey. Yes, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. A time to reflect, a time to bake (and show off my amazing cooking skills*), and a time to share in a tradition with friends and families. From various Thanksgiving events, to special recipies only for the special day, many of us have Thanksgiving traditions. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, what is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? *No, that does not mean that I can hand out my sweet potato casserole recipe, that's a BB1 family secret.
  10. Queue Line TV brought to you by Skyline. (Was it Sky-Fi or Sky-vision? I honestly forget now it has been far too long.) Yep, those were the days. Good old television that had depth, it had contrast those were the Zeniths of the TV era!*Just don't get too creeped out by the cobwebs. On a side note, seat belts help keep my phone in my pockets as I sometimes get cluttered in my back pockets. Do I hate the seat belts? No, they are there for my protection and I appreciate them as such.
  11. Wait so The Web isn't a tech store that I was going to look at today? Well, that just blew my hopes out of the water. I personally wish there was an indoor amusement park in Cincy so that I could get my coasters in during the winter. It is a stretch, but it is also something I would go to weekly as I would like to get some Off Season blues off my shoulders.
  12. Going into the third week of the Off Season, I still can't believe that the park is dormant! Attraction additions are something we all love, as it is something new, something fresh for our park. As we now have a new slide complex complimenting the waterpark to the park in terms of new slides, I have been posed by this topic; what should be the next new ride? Please note that this addition can be anything, from demolishing old/new rides to even a modification of turning an attraction backwards. So, what ride would you put in as the next new attraction? (Sorry for getting this out late, work has been on my mind, the same of Christmas shopping.)
  13. When you are sitting in Skyline, reading the forums. Then, the same music from Kings Island comes on and you realize just how much you miss KI.
  14. It is only 2 weeks into the Off Season and yet already I am missing Kings Island more than ever! As we get further into the Off Season I feel like we begin to meditate on what the park could change, and what it could be. That led me to this week's poll topic: Area Changes. You are given free reign to change one area in the park to a different theme. You could A. Make a new area of the park. B. Change an area of the park to a different theme. Or C. Renovate an area of the park to further enhance the pre-existing theme. This would permit you to also bring back nostalgic areas like Hanna Barbera Land or Boomerang Bay even. Please note that the attraction changes will not be possible only slight modifications like taking out a water feature or repaints are acceptable, but will be in a future poll week! Also I would like to make a special note here to everyone who replied to the last poll, thank you so much for your support and I hope that you are enjoying the poll series!
  15. You start putting up the trees, all 5 of them.
  16. It was bound to happen in terms of monetary expense. Look when it comes to pennies and cents aka my tax dollars, I want them spent properly. If a park makes money, it makes money, but if you throw money at it like it is a wishing well, you're loosing valuable dollars that are needed for other Kentucky funds. I want the park to succeed, yet i don't want the state to loose out from it not working correctly. It will be interesting to see the future as it is going to be interesting. Grab the popcorn!
  17. You could try to pin point a date in April and try your best with that. Or, if you don't want to count forwards but back to the last day, feel free to keep track with my poll series as it will keep track of the weeks from the last day at KI15.
  18. What is sad for me is that I have marathoner Beast so much that I have no idea of just how many credits I have on it. Heck I could probably have well into the hundreds if I kept count all these years. BB1, the "eh I'll just go over to the waterpark and take a few rounds on the lazy river" kind of guy.
  19. The keeper of the off season poll series!

  20. Okay i did NOT know BDC played the didgeridoo! I was pleasantly surprised tonight to hear a fellow didgeridoo player making memories for all ages. Plus he had some great sounds as well, a few notes of animal noises (vocalizations that mimic calls) would be a silver lining but i was still impressed! I never say this but next year i am going to watch BDC play at KI! Bravo Blood Drum Corps thanks for your performance! (I didn't stay long to hear all of his part but i bet a few vocalizations were made!)
  21. It's back! Yes the Off Season Poll Series is in the 3rd season and with new poll questions it will be a great way to make the Off Season go by that much quicker! To start off this week's poll, let's go back to your last visit to Kings Island. It's the final ride of your 2015 season and you made one last decision on how to end it out with a bang. Was it a memorable night ride on The Beast? Or maybe one superb last scream on Banshee i am sure it was right. With that being said; what was your last ride for the 2015 season? My last ride of the year was one of the greatest night rides ever. I love cool, dark, and fast rides on Beast. I had a great time and it was priceless to have as a final cold ride on my favorite coaster.
  22. When you arrive home and come upon a Christmas rush as "When KI closes, Christmas opens!". * * Note that i usually take a few days after Halloween to finish celebrating then put up Christmas decor (occasionally withHalloween decor for a bit of Nightmare Before Christmas flare!).
  23. Oh please don't remind me again. BB1 getting his fall rides in on The Bat and is keeping his mind off it!
  24. Hey keep a few nickels and you will get a dollar. Save a few dollars and you might have enough to buy a coaster. When you buy the coaster, you could call it The Spin Cycle and do your laundry while you wait in line! BB1, saving up some nickels In all honesty, if SIX keeps going up, I might be spending some nickels and dollars on their stock. BUT that comes with the realisation that to bring me in they have to have a steady rate of growth and an anticipation to do exactly what they just did and not stop here.
