You start putting up the trees, all 5 of them.

It was bound to happen in terms of monetary expense. Look when it comes to pennies and cents aka my tax dollars, I want them spent properly. If a park makes money, it makes money, but if you throw money at it like it is a wishing well, you're loosing valuable dollars that are needed for other Kentucky funds. I want the park to succeed, yet i don't want the state to loose out from it not working correctly. It will be interesting to see the future as it is going to be interesting. Grab the popcorn!

You could try to pin point a date in April and try your best with that. Or, if you don't want to count forwards but back to the last day, feel free to keep track with my poll series as it will keep track of the weeks from the last day at KI15.

What is sad for me is that I have marathoner Beast so much that I have no idea of just how many credits I have on it. Heck I could probably have well into the hundreds if I kept count all these years. BB1, the "eh I'll just go over to the waterpark and take a few rounds on the lazy river" kind of guy.

Okay i did NOT know BDC played the didgeridoo! I was pleasantly surprised tonight to hear a fellow didgeridoo player making memories for all ages. Plus he had some great sounds as well, a few notes of animal noises (vocalizations that mimic calls) would be a silver lining but i was still impressed! I never say this but next year i am going to watch BDC play at KI! Bravo Blood Drum Corps thanks for your performance! (I didn't stay long to hear all of his part but i bet a few vocalizations were made!)

It's back! Yes the Off Season Poll Series is in the 3rd season and with new poll questions it will be a great way to make the Off Season go by that much quicker! To start off this week's poll, let's go back to your last visit to Kings Island. It's the final ride of your 2015 season and you made one last decision on how to end it out with a bang. Was it a memorable night ride on The Beast? Or maybe one superb last scream on Banshee i am sure it was right. With that being said; what was your last ride for the 2015 season? My last ride of the year was one of the greatest night rides ever. I love cool, dark, and fast rides on Beast. I had a great time and it was priceless to have as a final cold ride on my favorite coaster.

When you arrive home and come upon a Christmas rush as "When KI closes, Christmas opens!". * * Note that i usually take a few days after Halloween to finish celebrating then put up Christmas decor (occasionally withHalloween decor for a bit of Nightmare Before Christmas flare!).

Oh please don't remind me again. BB1 getting his fall rides in on The Bat and is keeping his mind off it!

SIX FLAGS--ANOTHER RECORD QUARTER
BB1 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Hey keep a few nickels and you will get a dollar. Save a few dollars and you might have enough to buy a coaster. When you buy the coaster, you could call it The Spin Cycle and do your laundry while you wait in line! BB1, saving up some nickels In all honesty, if SIX keeps going up, I might be spending some nickels and dollars on their stock. BUT that comes with the realisation that to bring me in they have to have a steady rate of growth and an anticipation to do exactly what they just did and not stop here. -
Universal Orlando announces replacement for Twister

King Kong too was in New York. Now he's in Jurassic Park! (So maybe Jimmy Fallon's New York adventure will one day take place in Jurassic Park?) -
1 plan it on a weekend with no other groups in park. 2 More tours of the waterpark. 3 Haunt walkthrough 4 ERT/LRT (Late ride times or Disney Magic Hours for my Disney fans) for the waterpark. Just a few ideas
-
Maze from what I remember with the lights on tour and during Haunt a few years ago. I'll be on the lookout for you soon as I will be trying to hit the Haunt soon again.
-
The key is to hit the park when there is no one there. I have been to Kings Island on numerous occasions during all the seasons of operation and yet I still have amazing lines and amazing service. Sure, you could argue certain criteria, but you did chose to go during an highly anticipated date for many people in the Tri-State area. That being said, expect high volumes of crowds. But then again, one is subject to the money pouch so i see the fustration. I always recommend to everyone to get a Gold/Platinum Pass just due to the money paid back. I went well over 100 times this year to Kings Island, add in the prices and discounts given, and I already have my money back. My tips? Get there early. Go on a Sunday (After church for me of course.) Hit the food before 12 and after 2:30 (lunch rush dies down, minimal lines.) Haunt Fridays, early, overcast, or late bring out the best lines and some of the best atmospheres for getting to your Haunts.

The Beast has been notorious for nods to past attractions. This is simply a nod to a loss of a son and a great way show guests the remains being disturbed during the Haunt season yet again. Also I must say that Carnevil and SlaughterHouse were excellent waits on Friday and SlaughterHouse still delivers on that iconic scare it is known for. (But I'm still trying to find out whether or not they serve kangaroo meat?)

Shhhhh, no one needs to know about that yet, it's all in.......planning. BB1, taking BB1 & Co. to new limits with new aquatic based thrills on Mars.
-
It's 2016, and NASA has announced that you are the lucky recipient to be a part of the founding colonists, which will only be an one way trip. Of which you could pick five extra people to come along to Mars with you. When you arrive, Mars will be beginning with the teraforming process (unknown of the completion of a teraformed Mars) and will be established as a colony that could be free from earth or under the domain of any country. As some what of a pre season episode of my annual weekly poll series this off season, what would you do if you were in this situation? (Note that this is a fictional situation with no grounds to prove such an idea exists.)
-
This brings a smile to my face! So if I ask Sam if he loves cows, meow meow meow. Tonight, what will he say?Better yet, what does Sam think about BlackOut
-
Down grading the premier attraction would be a win loose. If I go to an Haunt, with lowered standards, and it exceeds those standards then I would like it more. But If it is a Saturday night, and hardpressed for time, I would not want to go due to the lack of scares. I'm sure BlackOut will be an interesting Haunt as it could be one of the more sensory overloads with sounds and various wall styles that could evoke fear.

Are you in Connecticut? How about with a little doll named Annabelle? If so, you may or may not be in a movie, or have had the fourth wall broken onto you from an external force. *que Deadpool music*

So what's up with this "power hour" crap on Banshee last night?
BB1 replied to Keysersoze's topic in Kings Island
Some good information here folks , as policies are policies, No matter what time of year. I would suggest to bring this up to guest services as they would have more information about the park's operations than we would. -
I lost count of my Beast count after 100, and that was years ago.

^If you are looking into more effects produced in the golden era of Haunted Houses, check out some of Disney's Haunted Mansion literature. I have a few books at home with key effects detailed, I can't exactly show you the book, but I will say that if you are very interested, it's a good investment.

....I guess you also don't understand why people volunteer to work the Kings Island Kicks Cancer (a lot of those folks "harassing" guests to kick a soccer ball are volunteers). .....A few members on this forum are probably a salaried employee and essentially "donate" time in excess of 40 hours/week to their respective employer, of which many employers probably are making enough money and could compensate. I guess you don't understand that either?... I understand the difference between salaried employees and non salaried employees. I also understand someone donating their time/money for a cause/charity that helps others in need. Sorry but, I wouldn't classify as Cedar Fair being "in need." I love Ohio State football but you won't catch me painting the end zone just to make sure it's the right shade of red. Sure, you may, others, not so much. You acquire a sense of accomplishment and new found admiration when you work on something you already love. For example if Boomerang Bay was still around, I would volunteer to restore it and make it look better. I'm not trying to say that you are wrong in your opinion, rather, that it seems kind of rash to hear you speak of him like that. Also it's not a basis of need, but being a kind Samaritan anyways as the best is done when people work on what they love. I commend him on what he did as I too love organs. I won't lie, I've always been a fan of organs. Ever since I heard Big Bertha at the 1900 Park Fare at The Grand Floridian I always thought they were special relics to cherish and remember an era by. When I heard the Wurlitzer in action with the original Organ, it was just wonderful and amazing to hear. And alls that I have to say is wow, thanks so much for your hard work and I feel like it is safe to say that you restored life into that glorious organ.

That's what I'm doing!Well, that does go to show you how we change in life. People go through phases, seasons, all having different affects and outputs on various people. I don't know what kind of joke or pun I was trying to pull, but I'm sorry even I think that is crap. Now, at least I use proper puns and post when I can to help out whenever I can. (As every user should.)
