  1. Down grading the premier attraction would be a win loose. If I go to an Haunt, with lowered standards, and it exceeds those standards then I would like it more. But If it is a Saturday night, and hardpressed for time, I would not want to go due to the lack of scares. I'm sure BlackOut will be an interesting Haunt as it could be one of the more sensory overloads with sounds and various wall styles that could evoke fear.
  2. Are you in Connecticut? How about with a little doll named Annabelle? If so, you may or may not be in a movie, or have had the fourth wall broken onto you from an external force. *que Deadpool music*
  3. Some good information here folks , as policies are policies, No matter what time of year. I would suggest to bring this up to guest services as they would have more information about the park's operations than we would.
  4. I lost count of my Beast count after 100, and that was years ago.
  5. ^If you are looking into more effects produced in the golden era of Haunted Houses, check out some of Disney's Haunted Mansion literature. I have a few books at home with key effects detailed, I can't exactly show you the book, but I will say that if you are very interested, it's a good investment.
  6. ....I guess you also don't understand why people volunteer to work the Kings Island Kicks Cancer (a lot of those folks "harassing" guests to kick a soccer ball are volunteers). .....A few members on this forum are probably a salaried employee and essentially "donate" time in excess of 40 hours/week to their respective employer, of which many employers probably are making enough money and could compensate. I guess you don't understand that either?... I understand the difference between salaried employees and non salaried employees. I also understand someone donating their time/money for a cause/charity that helps others in need. Sorry but, I wouldn't classify as Cedar Fair being "in need." I love Ohio State football but you won't catch me painting the end zone just to make sure it's the right shade of red. Sure, you may, others, not so much. You acquire a sense of accomplishment and new found admiration when you work on something you already love. For example if Boomerang Bay was still around, I would volunteer to restore it and make it look better. I'm not trying to say that you are wrong in your opinion, rather, that it seems kind of rash to hear you speak of him like that. Also it's not a basis of need, but being a kind Samaritan anyways as the best is done when people work on what they love. I commend him on what he did as I too love organs. I won't lie, I've always been a fan of organs. Ever since I heard Big Bertha at the 1900 Park Fare at The Grand Floridian I always thought they were special relics to cherish and remember an era by. When I heard the Wurlitzer in action with the original Organ, it was just wonderful and amazing to hear. And alls that I have to say is wow, thanks so much for your hard work and I feel like it is safe to say that you restored life into that glorious organ.
  7. That's what I'm doing!Well, that does go to show you how we change in life. People go through phases, seasons, all having different affects and outputs on various people. I don't know what kind of joke or pun I was trying to pull, but I'm sorry even I think that is crap. Now, at least I use proper puns and post when I can to help out whenever I can. (As every user should.)
  8. What kind of crap was I posting back then? Man, have I matured, that wasn't even a pun!
  9. Yes, you may still rent Cabanas in Soak City at both Breakers and Tidal Wave Bays. BB1, the salt is on. "The heat is on, it's on the street the heat is on" (Also probably one of the few who go to the waterpark as much as I did.)
  10. Exactly why they should not touch it.
  11. Please do not give me that mental image, I simply cannot Bear it. The Beast is good as is, it is a record breaking coaster that still (to a lesser degree) holds true to what it is and what it will be for future generations to enjoy true, classic, 70s style coasters that still pack a punch. The wood makes The Beast, a Beast. Wet wood allows for a totally different experience than dry wood, making it a different kind of coaster on different days. RMC should never touch this magnificent being unless if they were to just touch up on the preexisting structure I e add new wood as needed.
  12. Sorry for double posting but please note Paramount Parks on that plan board for the overall. (Maybe Paramount has been Cedar Fair all along?!)
  13. Or go and buy a pail of Pop Corn from Hollywood Studios (MGM for some of us older park guests), universal and interesting to carry onto a space attraction. One of the best places(and only place for me) to get pop corn, along with Mickey Mouse Ice Cream and or frozen bananas.
  14. Anything and everything, theming, signs, cool stuff in the stores. Slides, theming along slides, etc.
  15. As you may have noticed, I am a huge enthusiast of Boomerang Bay. I didn't make it down for this year to CWBBand I am somewhat worried that it won't be around next year. So, this is a plea for our Carolina based members, if you have any kind of photos, or if you could, take photos, videos, etc, of BB, could you post it to this section just so that I could just see BB still alive and kicking? Thanks so much in advance, BB1, nostalgic
  16. Some are happy, others, sad that Racers aren't getting the boot? Or that people wanted a flat, meanwhile, BB1 is just happy with future relaxing in that beautiful piece of fiberglass.
  17. I have a bittersweet relation ship with ribs. Montgomery Inn (the last of were in the late 2000's) that I have had were of good taste until eventually I quit going there due to the economy. Since, I have been to many great places in the south where I have experienced some of the best ribs of my life. I haven't had ribs in months until I went to COASTER STOCK of which the ribs were just of a lowe quality with all of the fat and barely any meat and made me look like a fool in front of other enthusiasts. I have never been to RHOFG nor to Montgomery to see if I just got bad ribs or if the recipe has changed in bulk. I hope that I only got a bad batch, as it is not the quality I know Kings Island for.
  18. COASTERSTOCK ribs were most definitely not Montgomery Inn quality, I can guarantee it. If so, then I need to go to the deep south for some other "style" ribs.
  19. The ribs, need I say more? There are always ways to make a program better, as the industry is always ever changing.
  20. I rarely eat at Kings Island anyways as I am more of a fan for other local fanfares like Potbelly's and Blue Ash Chili. But as for other guests, I see that the KI Rush has died down. I usually go to places like Taco Bell, Skyline (RARELY will I go here), Chipotle, Jimmy John's after the park is closed and I can notice that it has died down some what except with this new 8 PM Close that occurred to which there was an influx of patrons. Then let's add into the mix of other restaurants and venues at hotels like GWL to where people flock to after a day at the park and it is visible that the people would be more dispersed making the rush even less discernible. I can most certainly agree that the food administered with the ASFP works and it is a great deal after you do the math; and will probably become more of a perennial favorite as more guests upgrade for 2016.
  21. #PlatformWatch Day 50, they have noticed me, but not of my purpose. Don tries to pry my secrets open, but I am just a platform.
