  1. Over the few years that Cedar Fair has owned Kings Island, they have forever changed the whole atmosphere of the park; whether it be new rides, new areas, and a few rides returned as well . With this, the culmination of all of the additions now is something enthusiasts have been dying for: Flying Scooters. So, what is the best Cedar Fair Kings Island Addition?
  2. What's the stats on this thing? It looks somewhere around 100, 120?
  3. I got a brochure in the mail months ago, so already i knew a little bit about the project. But this isn't the first rodeo, Celebration, FL is an successful community created by our friends at Disney.
  4. "It's Tomb Raider, The Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiide" That's all that i could think of looking at that.
  5. That would be one of the awkward moments to ride that in GWL's Arcade.....
  6. Great Scott! If WDW's 20K Leagues Under The Sea attraction had a baby, it's this! I LOVE the steam punk theme and how it ties in with the area. Cedar Fair is doing EXACTLY what I love, theme and plot based off of the history of the park. Maybe I should go SoCal this year?
  7. Yes, I was stating MARVEL to emphasize that I am not a fan of DC Comics, sorry for the confusion. This comes after today accidentally saying that a Romulan ship was Klingon, from the 2009 Star Trek film. (The mind thought, and the hands posted another thing)
  8. The animations look like RCT4 Quality! Interesting attractions, but I am not that sure on the "sellability" of these attractions except for maybe a carnival or a roadside fun place. EDIT: The last ride actually was a child's toy in the 90's too, just an f.y.i.
  9. This......THIS is "What I Call" Dark Rides. The implications are, again, limitless with such an installation and I am already impressed (Note, I am a MARVEL fan, not a new age fanboy who only caught on after the Disney acquisition) . The Joker's face is cartoonish, but that is the same for who he really is, a cartoonish freak. Well played Sally and SIX, I may be taking a detour just to go to a Six Flags park this Summer.
  10. (Well, I thought I posted this last week but my phone clearly did not want to I guess?) With the Off Season winter blues are here, it is hard not to think of riding The Beast or going on The Bat for the famous Fall rides that I personally love. BUT there are still thrills to be had in Cincy. So this week's question is: What are your off season thrills? Any hidden gems you want to share?

    Haunt 2014

What, do you not like cows? Meow? Meow? Meow?
  12. In regards to Terp's post, look up I See Fire by Ed Sheeran and look at the Flight of Fear photos. But I cannot discredit alot of what dtk said as I could see alot of that happening. Now of course the Haunts I believe are stationary, an alternate spot could be arranged I would believe if applicable. This would permit us to see Santa or Snoopy (Santa-Snoopy?!) in one location, cookies in another, etc. The S'mores.......yeah you need to get those passed.
  13. I think if, IF we were to get a WinterFest, we would see it in 2015. The reason would be for The Beach to have a run with it, see how they go with it, then if it is a success, it would probably be greater at Kings Island. Secondly, the addition of the Flyers are a key attraction for the new WinterFest. The Flyers would be very nostalgic and as well the Starbucks would rake in the Bucks too. It would be the PERFECT year to do so, after a couple of years of owning KI. We already have lights at the I-Street, and lights could easily be put up in the time used to take down the Haunt props. Also, The Beach Waterpark, are you the real deal or an enthusiast? I agree that you could be put as the real deal and your posts are far but official to say the least, so clarification would be loved.

    Haunt 2014

I love cows, meow meow meow!
  15. Here's my summary: Cedar Fair knows how to make people happy now. Ouimet sees history, and he sees profit too. A wise man he is, and one to lead the company to add this addition. I love every announcement after Banshee, they all have been amazing and really reach out to the guest, not to penny pinch the guest. The additions aid Kings Island in ways that people have been questioning. I E, last year's GT's, I did see that people were very hesitant on how they made that conclusion, and this addition would help to cement their place holding for the time being.
  16. Guy in line at The Bat "Flight of Fear goes from 0-80 in 2 seconds!".
  17. I renewed my pass today! I wonder about that day in 2015 that GP members could come to and how that will be. Exciting!
  18. I don't know about the other guy, but I am always excited for a new addition to Kings Island after Banshee and what I have been seeing with the other parks. Scooters are a plus, I was not surprised and in fact made a 99% sure statement to a friend of mine, I won of course. I cannot wait to ride them when I get to and even though I will probably look like a sore thumb in the area riding the Scooters, I don't care because I am going to snap all day.
  19. Welcome back to the Off Season KIC! A time of year where we get to sit on our lap tops when we get home, watch POVs of some of our favorite attractions and post on KIC from time to time. If you are new to KIC, welcome! This is the Off Season poll series that lasts all the way up to Opening Day! So feel free to discuss your views and vote frequently! Also, a new function this year, if you have a poll that you want me to post, just PM me and I will make sure to post it as soon as possible! Week I: Best Credit in 2014 With 2014's seasonal operation coming to a close at Kings Island, most of us are now stuck in the Twilight Zone that we call The Off Season. Sadly, we will not be gaining any new credits . But we can cherish what credits we did get, and reflect on what credits we loved the most. It could be a coaster, slide, flat, water ride, or Haunt credit. So, what was your best credit in 2014?
  20. Wearing clothes into the water, i e wearing ALL your clothes into the water. Ew......ew......ew...
  21. I love cows, meow meow meow!

  22. At Slaughter House last night, Momma "Say I love cows, meow meow meow! When ever you hear pig". Now that was hilarious.
  23. I have never really been a big fan of LEDs so this should be interesting. Also, I wonder if they took time to also add in a light show ala WindSeeker, that would be cool! But I would be just fine with it being white.
  24. Maybe it is because I do not mind blood and gore nor most usual scares I don't know. There were places I loved but I didn't really get that scare factor that everyone talked about, I actually expected to get scared with what people were saying. I didn't say I hated it, infact I do like the Haunt theme and the props within. Every Haunt has a kink or two in the beginning, next year it could change and become so much more. Also it should be noted that I would rather go through Kill Mart and Slaughter House RLD if I could only go through two. The Haunt I loved the props inside but I just didn't get the scare factor that people were telling me of.
  25. People have been telling me for weeks to go into Slaughter House: Reloaded, the same for Kill Mart. Both had new methods and semi what was an odd queue set up. Yet they differed greatly on the feel of the Haunts. Kill Mart was home to me personally. High theme mixed with rudimentary products that all combine with the aid of FX and scare actors to make one killer attraction. In fact, I found it to be better than what I expected to see. My favorite part though had to be the plants or the camping area, two great places for some scares. The theme, also, it ran perfectly and smoothly just like a store and it had some amazing look around spots. MY ONLY problem coming from a Haunt enthusiast who makes his own Haunt is the counter scene, a little bit after the clothes scene. That could have easily had a great scare or a great place to have a hydrolic prop to jump out at people. That lack gave me a bit of an upset, but that would later be utilized in the shattered glass scene. Slaughter House: Reloaded though did not really pack my scare meter at all. The theme was superb as it flowed jaggedly yet smoothly coercing with the theme and all. As well, I LOVED the hot dog strands and the bubble scene. Yet when it came to the scares, and how it flowed, it only had a few jump parts and scenes that are more intended for the chiller factor than the jump. BUT the best scene was probably Sam's scene as it did have some scare factor and he did have a nice piggie. But who's to say those were my only favorites? Urgent Scare by far ranked high last night in plot and use of props and scares. For the first night in a long time have I felt like I was actually in a hospital ran by crazies and zombies. As well, did I see the full use of all scares i e the drop box that was never used prior when I went in. Also I LOVED the siren outside and I want to find that mp3 for my phone's ringtone. Who wins? Kill Mart just by a few points above SHRLD &US.
