  1. Even though I'm not a Boomerang Bay enthusiast as BB1 is, I'm loving these photos; especially the detailed theming! I went to Carowinds' water park before it became Boomerang Bay (either during my 2001 trip or my 2003 trip) and I remember being so nervous to ride Pipeline Peak, but it ended up being really fun. I'm also loving that last picture of all the coasters in the background. I've got to get there to ride Nighthawk soon...
  2. Here's an easy way to avoid confusion: Just call all the other attractions by their old WaterWorks names (Bonsai Pipeline/Wipeout Beach/ Helix/Ultratwister)! But seriously, I can understand confusion due to the similar-sounding names. Therefore, some of these slides could possibly be renamed to avoid confusion.
  3. I'm wearing my Great Bear shirt right now for Casual Friday! In fact, I've worn mostly coaster shirts on Casual Fridays
  4. (In response to electricsun's recent post about riding coasters with her niece and nephew) It's not silly; I totally get it. I was so proud when my 6 year old cousin rode The Bat for the first time and enjoyed it (and this was after his first ride on The Beast. I certainly wasn't that brave at 6 years old!) Also, I love The Bat, so it warmed my heart to hear he enjoyed it.
  5. I'm curious if these plans have resurfaced in other forms at other parks. I guess what I'm asking is: did any part of this lost project appear in another form at another park (like how the rumored Adams Family coaster became Mystery Mine)?
  6. (In response to Steph88's post about the 90's, specifically Pokemon) What generation are you on? I'm up to third gen (I have Sapphire) + Blue snd Gold from the Game Boy/Game Boy color days. And Crash 2 is the only game from that series that I've 100%-ed.
  7. I would love a 90's store at KI! I grew up during that decade and still have some relics from that era (Pokemon Blue, Crash Bandicoot). Bring on the 90's!
  8. Could there possibly be a launch in the slinky tunnel (which would explain why its intentionally skipped over in the video)? Good to know there may more one more family launch coaster out there in addition to Backlot, Firechaser Express and Adventure Drive (Suzuka Circuit, Japan).
  9. I understand now; thanks Goble for explaining (I had to look at Google maps for reference! ). And wow, both of those are going to be taken out... that's crazy! I wonder how much the parking lot will be reconfigured to accommodate the new (and only) entrance.
  10. Over near Tidal Wave Bay and the volleyball courts. Finally!!! I've always thought something could be in that area and I was thinking drop slides would be perfect -I was right!
  11. I saw the news on break at work and am finally caught up in reading about all the excitement! First, I'm pumped about the three drop slides as I've enjoyed the ones I've ridden at Dorney and Kentucky Kingdom (Snake Pit and Deep Water Dive, respectively) and have always wanted one at KI. I'm seriously super glad that these types of slides are so close to us! However, I'll be curious to see if Pineapple Pipeline (Bonsai Pipeline to those WaterWorks fans like me!) loses some ridership as the middle slide is essentially a basic capsule slide minus the capsule. Second, the automatic pass holder parking lane sounds cool as I'll be getting (or receiving, as in a possible birthday/Christmas present) a Gold or Platinum Pass for next year and it will surely be more convenient (I don't mind the tolls as they are now, but this is still really cool news). However, I do have questions about where the tolls and slides will be. Also, are the North tolls closer to 71N (where Adventure Express and Beast lots are)? And will anything be done with the main tolls? Thanks for answering these questions. EDIT: Tropical Plunge location confirmed. Still wondering about the parking tolls location, though I think I have a good idea based on the related thread about the slides.
  12. I found it intresting that they were all Cedar Fair giga coasters.
  13. If The Undertaker is there, I wonder what (or who, perphaps) will be in front of the fountains?
  14. I watched in when I worked in the Festhaus a number of years ago (it was good), however I've not seen it this year. However, I did hear it once while passing through and I did notice the singers were a bit better than a few years ago. I was too busy riding Viking Fury, getting a great view from the Effiel Tower and waiting for Cirque to catch any of the shows last Sunday.
  15. Saw the 5 and 7 shows today and they were both fantastic. I got my picture taken with the two women on the trapeze after the 5 PM show as this has been my favorite part of the show this season! I also got to talk to Shannon (I think- it was the shorter of the two) after a few of performers (two clowns + Shannon and Trevor) came out to greet people near the theater after the show. I really liked this show this year, and I wish these talented people the best at whatever they do and wherever they decide to go next. Here's to Cirque 2015!
  16. Not to derail the thread, but I actually think I'd rather have an Inverted Impulse coaster (see Wicked Twister, Possessed) in my backyard than a Togo Stand-Up, considering that I've never been on one before...
  17. Yes and no, Lucas! In all seriousness, it depends on if your body can handle it. I have asthma and I do fine at Haunt. The Haunt atmosphere (fog, scares, the houses themselves) might be a asthma trigger for some while it may affect others very little or not at all. -MDMC, feeling like he's repeating himself from last year... And also, I agree with Terp; I'm just giving you a hard time .
  18. Had probably the best Flight of Fear ride this season earlier today! :)

  19. Decided to see only the last two shows today instead of all of them as originally planned. At Chicken Shack now getting their amazing bread! EDITED for spelling and now waiting for the 5 PM show!
  20. In line for FOF now. Line is outside but to the last switchback (not quite to the greeter though). Not totally inside yet, so I'll report on that in a sec. Zephyr was a walk-on (a few seats left, though). Backlot was a bit before the "splashdown" and Beast was to Slaughterhouse line (used no switchbacks). EDIT: No switchbacks are being used inside FOF's hanger.
  21. You just got me really excited for tomorrow (not that I'm not already excited for tomorrow)! I'll be at the park for all 3 shows (something I don't normally do, but I'm doing this because it's the last show(s)- I usually only see it once a visit), plus hoping to get a few rides in (specifically Beast and/or Bat) either before or between shows.
  22. Ok, cool. I'd heard some ideas (via Theme Park Tourist) that WDW's area might go in the Disney's Hollywood Studios park.
  23. Interesting. Do we know where these lands will be going in their respective parks?
  24. The Lake Erie Monster theory makes sense; but I'm going to wait until Tuesday...
  25. Good stuff; glad you enjoyed yourself! And yes, going to theme parks on weekdays are great at weekends at the parks can get pretty crowded.
