COASTERSTOCK 2022 TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY 10AM!
tuxedoman52 replied to RedSummit20's topic in Kings Island
I got on at about 10:03 and never saw a button. Tried multiple links and refreshed several times. Oh well. Maybe next year. -

I didn't know Intamins required spare parts. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Ever since we acquired Stinger's trains from Dorney, Invertigo has been much better. Never perfect but I always give it one ride when I'm at the park. You also never know how long Invertigo has at the park. I made the mistake of avoiding Vortex in its final seasons when it was still an elite ride. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Ride wait times were excellent last night. Orion - 5 minutes Racer - Walk-on Adventure Express - Walk-on Banshee - 5 minutes Bat - Walk-on Mystic Timbers - 25 minutes Diamondback - 10 minutes Beast - 30 minutes Invertigo - Walk-on Definitely my most successful coaster riding haunt trip. Top Thrill Dragster Incident
tuxedoman52 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Our team has the health and welfare of our guest who was involved in Sunday’s incident at Top Thrill Dragster at the forefront of our minds. We will continue to offer our support to her and her family in this unimaginably difficult time. We want to fully understand what happened and why. Together with the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture’s Division of Amusement Ride Safety & Fairs, third party investigators, engineers and the ride’s manufacturer, we are being careful, methodical and thorough. We will not rush the investigation and will work tirelessly in our search for answers in the interest of improving safety. This process will take time. As a result, Top Thrill Dragster will remain closed for the 2021 season. The safety of our guests and associates is our top priority and we refuse to operate any ride or attraction without total confidence in its safety. After riding MF and Orion in the same week, I feel I can safely rank my gigas: 1. I305, 2. Orion, 3. Millennium Force Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

After riding The Beast yesterday, I can say it's still a great ride, but I'd really like a GG retrack on pretty much every track piece that isn't straight. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Rougarou, Valravn, GateKeeper, and maybe Raptor have them at Cedar Point. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

The test seat should be fine. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

No. Every seat is the same. You'll need 3 clicks. Exact same seat as Diamondback. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I am pretty much your exact dimensions, 6'5" and a muscular 304. Everyone is different. I have the most trouble with Drop Tower and Flight of Fear. Banshee has longer seatbelts in rows 4 and 5 but has a test seat outside. Orion and Diamondback can be tight for me as you need 3 clicks. Try to sit as far back in your seat as possible. You only need 1 click on Mystic Timbers so if you've been on other GCIs with Millennium Flyers, you'll be fine. Beast and Racer have your typical PTCs where you will need 2 clicks. Try sticking your feet out to the side to give yourself more room on those. Best of luck to you from a fellow big guy. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Thunderbird Broken @ HW
tuxedoman52 replied to coaster sally's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Looks like HW is doing everything they can to make it up to fans. Great customer service. -
PTCs are more cramped for me as well, as I'm 6'5". But PTCs have a reputation industry wide for being some of the more accommodating trains. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I believe there's no correlation between PTCs and B&M clamshells. PTCs tend to be some of the more accommodating trains as long as you are not overly tall. Premier (Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster) may give you more issues. BLSC does not have a seat belt which helps though. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Wow. Surprised to see Gravity Group on the project after GCI did such a good job. I would speculate it came down to cost. Hopefully the banked turned towards the final bunny hills is reprofiled. It was always a little funky. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I have been on Orion 16 times. I'd guess I'll be at about 25 by the end of next year as I'll be gone from Ohio for the summer. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Accident/Derailment on Manhattan Express
tuxedoman52 replied to gforce1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Or, the back wheel assembly had failed somewhere throughout the ride layout and eventually jammed up on the lift hill. The operator watching the train on the cameras could've seen the catwalk bend and E-stopped the ride, or a maintenance person watching from the lift could've radioed in to the operator to stop the lift. Just another theory. -
Accident/Derailment on Manhattan Express
tuxedoman52 replied to gforce1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yep, definitely not much structural issues to be noted here besides the catwalk. Can't believe this coaster is 23 years old on its third set of trains. Also, @gforce1994, where did you hear the train rolled back? I'm not denying it all I heard was one car partially derailed on the lift hill.
