I would love to see Vekoma's Pandora's Box ride used at Kings Island maybe as an "Amusement Dark". The concept of Pandora's Box has always intrigued me and with the right amount of theming I think it would work great at Kings Island or a few Cedar Fair parks. A theme that resembles Phantoms Theatre or something along those lines even. http://www.vekoma.com/index.php/specialities-and-attractions/pandora-s-box Definitely not what KI is getting for 2014 but a great idea for a future "Amusement Dark" or dark ride.

I agree with you on that! I'd love to see the park re-open and thrive like it once did.....But I unfortunately just don't see it happening, if anything happens. I suppose within the next 3 to 4 hours we should know more about the fate of the Kingdom....Which I'm curious to hear... That's probably due to some possible updates they could be making this morning.....(Just a guess).... And as stated by a wise man in this topic before.....June 27, 2013....Its here folks....

Now you have me thinking of Six Flags St. Louis's "newest" coaster.

Firehawk?...Temporary?.... It was added to Kings Island's coaster line-up in 2007 and is still there. Besides, why would Kings Island spend the money of putting such a massive coaster in if it were only temporary?

Kings Island also introduced Fast Lane Plus in 2013, it includes all of the regular Fast Lane rides along with The Beast and Firehawk as extras.

I wasn't there to watch or walk into Soak City last night but based on the way that you explained it Voicetek, I'm going to guess that the only reason it was like that is because its the first time they have ever done this. I'm sure they learned a lot from that and it probably wont be the same next time. With each try it'll probably get a little better and if not....I guess there wont be anymore Diving In for 2014 and beyond.

2013 is the 20th anniversary of Kings Islands only Jet Coaster, Flight Deck. The roller coaster which was formerly named Top Gun, recently gave its 20 millionth ride. With 20 years and 20 million rides, this roller coaster has made lots of memories for lots of people and their families who have visited the park in the last 20 years. What are some of your best memories of Flight Deck? Did you ride it the year it opened? Have you ridden it on its 20th anniversary yet? Happy 20th Flight Deck!

Yes, of course Kentucky Kingdom has always been a wildly successful park and will continue to be as long as Hart is running it.... But with all seriousness, The real question is, How will this end?.....I think most of us have a pretty good idea....

"Construction.....Construction...." How can you have such a massive amount of construction as that park will need without.......Money.......Money..... Hart probably can't even answer that one, and if he can, he wont.

I've never been much of a Star Wars fan....I tried to watch one of the movies but it just seemed pointless and confusing.....Thats just my opinion but I'm glad you have a hobby that you like!

I actually enjoy Mean Streak, and I think it is a great wooden roller coaster. It was pretty rough before work was done to it but if its still standing at Cedar Point right now, than that obviously means it must deserve to be there.

Right. Because there aren't hundreds of other manufacturers out there like Zierer, Gerstlauer, PTC, RMC, Premier, or Vekoma that could be creating this coaster. Neither of you seemed to mention Mack Rides, which is a company that I haven't heard quite a few of you name. Remember, Cedar Fair did install a Mack wild mouse coaster at Knotts last year and it sure was a Coast Rider! Along with that, Mack is also kind-of into the dark ride business...Amusement Dark anyone? Not saying it would be a wild-mouse, just throwing out the idea of getting a Mack ride in general, whether that be a wild mouse or launched coaster or even a Mack dark ride.

Yes I am a fan of Cedar Fair parks, also roller-coasters. I see you are a fan of The Beast. Whenever I went to Kings Island I used to ride The Beastie. But I also heard The Beast would give you whiplash! LOL The Beast giving riders whiplash?...You must be thinking of his Son....

I thought I'd put my popcorn down for a minute and post a little somthing based on your post... Thought it would also be a good example just in case Kings Island did install an B&M inverted coaster for the 2014 season because OzIris is the newest B&M invert to date. (This does Not mean I think KI will get an Invert for 2014, I have not made my prediction, Yet.) If something like this were at Kings Island it might even make you scream like a Banshee!

The former SOB station will be used for a Haunt attraction this year and beyond.

It actually is the ride-ops place to tell them they can't ride or at least highly advise them not to ride, That is part of their job.

Well, When I left the park Sunday at about 11:30 there were about 10 police cars, 1 fire truck, a few rescue vehicles, some ambulances, and lots of confusion going on. They had a large part of the parking lot blocked with police cars and even part of Kings Island dr. was closed out in front of KI. I'm sure it had nothing to do with a woman being pregnant in Firehawk's line but I was curious if this was on the news locally? or if any of you might now what happened?
