  1. Not the only thing like this I've heard about Six Flags… But really? That is just irresponsible, and greedy.
  2. I think for 2015 either a really nice dark ride in place of Boo Blasters or another location, maybe where the crypt is. But another nice thing to do is just go through and do general and much needed refurbishment's such as repainting some of the rides that desperately need it, and cleaning off those god awful transfer track roves roofs on The Beast and Diamondback.
  3. I was walking directly behind you, then. Don was just ahead of me when he walked behind the building facing International Street. By the way, when I read the title of this thread, I pictured someone nearly colliding with Don on the midway. I kind of nearly did, by the way, did you see me? I was the cool kid with the red polo shirt and cargo shorts.
  4. It truly is going to be awesome, and not in the 21st century watered down way. That dive loop right over the walkway it going to be just jaw dropping and even now the stature of this is just massive. EDIT: Is that structure in front of the transfer tables the future station?
  5. This guy There were a lot of them staying there, because of some convention I think, but he was the closest I got to.
  6. I saw a well known Youtuber in an elevator at the Worlds Marriott that was another time when I just froze.
  7. It is hard approaching someone, it would be nice to have a stronger indicator.
  8. ^Like the ride ops? It could be a subtle thing like as you get off a ride…. Or something odd like a sharpie mark on your ear... Just thinking outside the box.
  9. So when roaming the park not on a KIC meet up day, what are some little things that we can do/look for when in the park to tip off other KIC members that you're KIC member. So obviously wearing a KIC shirt, but what else could we do? Is this a stupid thread?
  10. This report has major lack of pictures due to a lack of Camera. But I hope you will forgive me. We parked in Invertigo as always, on our way to the entrance we picked up two more Platinum Passes for my Brother and my Mother. Then hopping in line to go through the turnstiles. When we finally got in we rushed towards Diamondback. On the way I cut under Graeter's and guess who I saw. Yup, none other than Don Helbig, I stood there, frozen for a second, my mind raced. He then began to walk and I continued toward Diamondback walking neck and neck with him. He then slipped through the gate in between the two buildings. I guess it was a starstruck kind of moment I guess "Hello Don, I'm fanofFirehawk" might have been sufficient. But maybe next time. But after that great encounter with the Kings Island PR, I got two rides on Diamondback phenomenal. After that we met up with my Brother and my Mother who had been hanging out in Planet Snoopy. Today was going to be a Jake day. So first off I got a ride with my brother on WoodStock Express he put his hands up and screamed. He then got a ride with my Mom. Afterwards, my mom wasn't feeling to well so she went to go rest in the Infirmary. So mean while my Dad, Jake, and I got nice ride in the front seat of Flying Ace Ariel Chase. Once we got off of that we headed for Race for your Life Charlie Brown. My dad and I got soaked on the drop and my brother laughed and laughed but then we pulled around the final corner and there is Snoopy and sprays him so much. We got off afterwards and went to play a game, as always I was defeated by a 6 year old. I then suggested Jake try Backlot for the first time, he was reluctant but after some Blue Ice Cream bribing he finally worked the nerve up and we got inline. My dad and I pointed out all of the elements and described what the launch would be like and the helix he was constantly like "I'm not going to like it" "this is going to be the worst". He sat in the front seat so he could see everything that was happening. During the ride my dad kept him up to date with what was going to happen, on the drops and the Helix he laughed and laughed. But when my dad would look at him he would immediately suppress him emotions. When came back into the station and the ride attendant asked "red train, how was your ride" and then "come on, how was your ride" and he reluctantly put his hands in the air like just didn't care, and did a little muffled whooaah. I asked how he liked it and he would ignore me. He then asked if we could ride Flight Deck, one of his favorite rides, but also it was relatively intense for him, so I new from there he wouldn't have wanted to do it if he didn't like it. So after a few more times asking and such, he finally gave in and admitted he did enjoy it and later in the day he a said he liked it better than Flight Deck. After that we did another game and then met up with my mom again and rode the train which brings me to some thing really ticked me off. The train was packed they couldn't let everyone on the plat form and people didn't have the common courtesy to move in. I mean we had like seven people squeezed into one row. And some people would sit right on the end so no one could sit there I mean one person relaxing with there legs stretched out on one of the huge seats while I was cramped between my mother and some stranger, and I was totally fine. I always try to make life easier for the rides ops and everyone, to make it faster for everyone, such as when I sit alone i pull down the restraint next to me and when I get off I lift it up on my way out. I try and make sure there are no empty seats. But aside from that they got off at Soak City and when not that many people got on and they closed the gate my family got in the seat behind us and gave the other group people some room. Afterwards we headed to the exit and headed home. Spending the entire day with brother isn't something I typically have done, but watching my brother scream and giggle and put his hands up on those rides, is a memory I will never let go.
  11. I would like them to just scrap the guns, half them don't work, so I would just like to go through and experience something. If they could do something as awesome as MIB one at universal I might be able to tolerate. I am also kind of confused, because Mr Ouimet said that we would focus more on placing than theming and I don't really see how Banshee fits under the "Action Zone" theme or area. I hope this is part of a long term plan, but Mr. Ouimet so far in his carrier for Disney and his Cedar Fair he has been exceptional, so please, please Mr. Ouimet be awesome.
  12. I think we will start to see more track and supports going up once Labor Day weekend is over or in other words tomorrow.
  13. Did you learn anything though, because my Social Studies teacher always said going off topic never hurt anyone as long as you learned something. A fan possibly trying to stay off topic to avoid an assignment.
  14. It really is a shame. A company that looks strong can be ruined going public and once you've gone public it is very hard to go back.
  15. Well I went for the morning because it just was getting that bad, so I would stick to your studying, and wait till tomorrow, I'll be again. The parking lot is packed, we waited about 40-45 minutes for Woodstock, which was about 11:40 in the morning. Trust me it is packed.
  16. We gave the parking attendant my Platinum pass, and he intern gave us a flyer about Dollar day, we than passed through and found our parking space. Pulled into the seventh slot in Invertigo. We went and got our Platinum Passes renewed for next season, and went off to stand in line to get go through the turn styles. After 20 minutes of reading through the forums via the mobile site, they let us in 4 minutes early!!! So we briskly walked towards the Massive B&M looming over Rivertown and Planet Snoopy. I got two lovely rides, full of airtime, and I don't care would any youthful hunk says it does give a lot of airtime, and maybe it is because I'm 12 and small but I defiantly get some ejector air when I hit the top of the 2nd, 3rd, hills, and so on. So anyway after 2 epic rides on Diamondback we headed to The Beast, very fun, and quite intense, though the crew could have been a little more enthusiastic, maybe Don could've shown up and livened the place up a bit. Afterwards, we went and quickly got a ride on Back Lot, nice in fun, you can really feel the heat in the front. We then went to X-base, my favorite part of the park. We got a nice ride on Firehawk. The crew was doing very well, I was very impressed. Well after that we went and rode The Racer real quick. But then we need to head up to the drop off spot to pick up my Brother. He wanted to do Woodstock and Surf Dog so we stood in the Longest lines of the for those two. They were both very nice, and Jake put his hands up on them, he really enjoyed them. Now that he had gotten warmed up we went and... Got some $1 Blue Ice Cream, it was very nice on this hot day. The $1 deal was a plus also. We headed over to Adventure Express, he was reluctant because he thought the Monkey things at the end were frightening. But he faced his fear and enjoyed it quite a lot. We than headed down to Flight Deck, but on the way I got some photos of the Banshee Construction. Now it was time for Flightdeck. After an awesome ride on the best Suspending Coaster in the world, we headed for the exit.
  17. I would like to see it get some capitol and put it more at the standards of Busch Gardens Oktoberfest Area. How about you?
  18. I can't completely tell but it doesn't look they have had the chance to wire that single piece of track on the transfer table.
  19. Great Report thanks for sharing, sounds like you had quite a lot of fun, and ten rides on Vortex, nice... And cool that you met Don, I have a feeling that if introduced myself to him, and said... Me: Hi, I am a member KIC. Don: Cool, what is your screen name? Me: fanofFirehawk. Don: Oh, I see….
  20. Great photos. Is the only piece of track that one on the transfer table?
  21. If you could resurrect anything from the former years of Kings Island, what would it be? It can be anything, a ride, a coaster, a haunt, or if you'd like to restore something to it's former glory, here is where I want you to tell the rest of the world.
  22. Supposedly Kings Island and the rest of the Cedar Fair parks, compete, not only with other parks, but with other things in entertainment, such as the Xbox™.
