Cedar Point
fanofFirehawk replied to shawnofthedead's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
You should definitely go, here is my soon to be completed guide to Cedar Point. (very bottom) -
They have (maybe used to) Passport cards that could get you in that were cheaper. And here is a link for Canada's Border advice.
-
I think it was a little more recently but it probably was related to september eleventh attacks.
-
I was there earlier in the year and the Dragster Crew was awesome, they got the entire station laughing out loud. I'm not sure if they beet the enthusiasm of the Gemini and Magnum(last year) crew but they were pretty fun. But the other times I went back later during the summer your right it was rather lacking.

That sounds about right, but Terpy is right that Canada's isn't the 51st State, passport would be an added cost if you don't have one. Sidenote: Terpy Officially added to Dictionary

Well if your going to more than 2 you should definitely get it. Living in Indy Canada's Wonderland is like 7 hours away so that isn't to far, and Kings Dominion might be a longer trip, for me that is, but those are all awesome parks. You go to all of the "Ring of Gigas"(Cedar Point: Millennium Force, Canada's Wonderland: Leviathan, Kings Dominion: Intimidator 305) that hopefully Kings Island will soon be included in.

I think you should get the Platinum Pass if you think you'll be heading to Cedar Point more often than once or twice, you can 10% off at onsite hotels only way to get free parking so there are a lot of pluses to getting it. But ultimately it is up to you and whether or not you think you'll be heading there. You can also go to any other Cedar Fair park, Kings Dominion, Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds ect.

Regardless, it is still really annoying after the 25th time.

You know a really cool place for a giga I was thinking the other day was. The big orange blob is a possible station, and the green "strait" section is a lift hill. The Blue and Red are different layouts, and the white signals the end of the ride.

Picture Trip Palooza Weekend 06SEP--08SEP
fanofFirehawk replied to thedevariouseffect's topic in Trip Reports
Great Trip Report! Seems like a rather successful day. But when I go to Cedar Point I always try and ride Wicked Twister and Gemini, I have a real connection to those but that is just me. -
Except when it glitches and gets stuck on a loop and won't launch. "Keep your hands down and…" "Keep your hands down and…" Sigh.

New Texas Giant to reopen this weekend
fanofFirehawk replied to NoChickens's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I strongly disagree, someone flew out of the ride , and died, on a ride they had faith in SIX in that they would return to the station and be able smile and clap, and enjoy the rest of their life. Safety is the number one thing, and in the end the ONLY thing that should matter. Six Flags, and the state, should and will take their time to guarantee the safety of their guests.- 27 replies

Kings island & Coney Island History video
fanofFirehawk replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in Kings Island
Doesn't this just make you want to go out and just build a theme park. To bad it isn't the 70's anymore. -
Knotts Berry Farm Discussion
fanofFirehawk replied to YoungStud's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
But it's Intamin!?! But I do think Knott's is going to get something soon, something big, might not be a Giga, but I would wait to drop big that chunk of change. -
This is a motor: This is a building: The first one I found, photo bucket wouldn't let me upload the first one. I guess the world really doesn't want you to know what a lift hill motor. EDIT: Wow Nathan, 600th post, nice...

You couldn't pay me enough to ride that. Everyone has their price...

KIC 10th Birthday Bash VTR/PTR by IndyGuy4KI
fanofFirehawk replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Trip Reports
Great Trip Report! I really wish I could have gone. I'm glad all of you had a great day at the park. EDIT: At 7:48 what is that clicking sound on Diamondback. -
Is this URGENT, because I'm a bit SCARED.
-
Fair enough but it would be nice to have such of a lovely entrance to greet the guests as they come it, the thing about the gate right now is that it is kind of like Disney, emphasizes on kind of, but when you standing there you can't really see much other than Drop Tower an Invertigo, it kind of hides everything else and builds everything up even more. But if they could maybe spruce it up a bit like this rendering or even this one, I would definitely approve, I actually don't think it would cost all that much and it would really be a big step towards reviving the park to the former glory.
