  1. I’m not sure I’d be going back to the manufacturer who designed the ride for modifications when the relationship has been more than distant. When you have the second tallest and 3rd fastest roller coaster it the world, it draws a lot of attention when there’s a malfunction or an incident; I believe Kinzel regretted having the ride built in the 1st place. The problem with huge record breaking attractions is that they come at the cost of maintenance. If you look at Red Force, it has LSM launches as opposed to the hydraulic system TDD and KK have. The current technology has become somewhat obsolete and I think more people would rather it replaced with something more reliable than just having it SBNO or having it run but experience heavy downtime.
  2. If they find a way to reopen it, I wouldn’t have a huge announcement on it as that would possibly draw attention to the latest incident. Instead I’d add it back onto the website and relabel it on the map for next season and leave it at that. @BoddaH1994 might have a better response to that but from a PR standpoint I feel like a quiet reopen would be preferred as opposed to a full blown announcement that they got it back up and running.
  3. Not exactly coasters but I like how Disney does Go-Away-Green and Blend/in-Blue to have some of their buildings blend in with the trees, shrubbery, and sky. I wonder what the outside of BBoBH and the Crypt building would look like in these colors:
  4. It should also be noted that as minors, their legal guardians are responsible for their actions. Source- from a California law group A chaperone policy is, in a sense, making the parents/chaperone’s more accountable for the minor’s actions, hopefully discouraging any wrongful behavior from continuing.
  5. The park just extended their regular season by one day on September 11th and they’re extending haunt to Sundays. Could we possibly see the park operate every weekend from September- October in the future? Southern Ohio fall is pretty warm which wouldn’t hinder anything from an weather standpoint.
  6. I think it’s more of a PR thing. They want to let people know that they’re responding to the issue. While it does make it difficult for those who obey the rules, they have to prevent things from getting worse from those who don’t. All and all they’re trying to make the park safer for all guests who enter, whether they follow the park rules or not.
  7. There are separate threads for specific parks but I thought it might be useful for people to compile all of the Cedar Fair 2023 additions, whether they’re confirmed, leaked, or rumored, together. I did not include the Schlitterbahn parks, CGA, or Gilroy Gardens. I’ll make edits to this post when there are more updates so please reply with whatever info you’ve got! Canada’s Wonderland: Tundra Twister and Snoopy’s Racing Railway Carowinds: Aeronautica Cedar Point: The Boardwalk Dorney Park: Kings Dominion: Kings Island: Knott’s Berry Farm: Leaked B&M hyper Michigan’s Adventure: Valleyfair! World’s of Fun: Zambezi Zinger
  8. That would be a lot of relocation just to make it connected to one specific section. When it was Hanna-Barbera land Phantom Theater was there. They can still call that little stretch of pathway by the first aid building international Street
  9. It won’t be a B&M hyper. The blueprints that were leaked look like a launched coaster; an Intamin if I were to guess from the sharp turns but it could also be from Mack.
  10. I don’t think that’s the case from what I’ve been told. I think it comes down to staffing. Winterfest needs the train open more than Haunt does.
  11. Perhaps Cedar Fair wants to test this Titan track concept before bringing it to their larger parks. The chain doesn’t necessarily have a designated “test park” like what you see with Six Flag’s Fiesta Texas. If the ride is a success at World’s of Fun, you might see more of them pop up, if not then at least World’s of Fun has a new ride.
  12. No one likes going through long que lines but they serve a purpose. When I’m at the park, I often wonder if it would be beneficial to open up the entire que line, regardless of park attendance. I’ve experienced this on trips to Busch Gardens and it’s not that bad; I’m still walking so I don’t really feel like I’m waiting. Of course there will always be people who try to hop the lines and that can be handled by security. My argument is, if people continue to walk throughout the que, they won’t necessarily be “waiting” in line. I’m not saying that Banshee needs to have the whole que open, the same with Racer and the inside part of Flight of Fear, but there are some rides that I think would benefit. When Firehawk left, Flight of Fear absorbed its old que. I personally think having people walk through the old Firehawk que before entering the Flight of Fear building would shorten lines. The same can be said for Diamondback and the part of the que line that runs parallel to the lift hill. Am I off on this? Would this be something that you’d want to see? I remember walking the old White Water Canyon que and loving the feeling of not having to wait as long; the same can be said for The Bat.
  13. I personally think the train should make a return. It doesn’t have to necessarily stop halfway like the last time, (it can’t anymore since the haunt platform is gone), but rather take guests on a full lap like Winterfest. Each set of passenger cars can hold a large amount of people and could really help alleviate midway traffic. The train could pass by multiple scary scenes and possibly even live actors. I’m not sure how practical this all would be but it would be another haunt attraction at the park’s disposal.
  14. Correct but RMC has more experience building hybrids over 200ft with steep drops and inversions. Perhaps Hersey Park wants something like that with Wildcat.
  15. They might want to go the Steel Vengeance/ Iron Gwazi route
  16. We’re not the only amusement park that has a roller coaster named “Diamondback”
  17. I assume it depends on if the logo is a registered trademark or not- I used to take a business law class in college and we spent half the semester covering logos and trademarks.
  18. While that may be the case for one ride- I wouldn’t apply that to everything. Look at the refurbishments of the Timber Mountain log ride, the Calico mine ride, and Calico river ride that feature animatronics. I think Knott’s wanted to keep that buildings shooting style ride so they took the tech from Voyage to the Iron Reef and applied it to classic IP. Unless the park brings back Phantom Theater like Knott’s did to Bear-y tales, I think it’ll be fine
  19. Some user on Reddit made a pretty cool concept for an updated Phantom Theater:
