I said the layout is underwhelming. Not the ride. Huge difference.

I compared the actual footer diagram pics to Leviathan and Fury. It lines up with Leviathan, but is smaller than Fury. If it's a Giga, it's barely a giga. To be a record breaker for height it'll have to be a steeper lift than Fury. That being said. I don't have the PDF, so I cannot share it, but I have seen some screen shots. I understand why there's hesitation to post them. This place is going to melt down. The layout is very underwhelming. The clearing that is done now is all of it and it doesn't even use all that space. It's not twisty at all. Very straight, very few curves. A single helix. If its taller than Fury, it's going to have a hell of a time burning off the speed. I'm hoping it's an airtime monster. I believe the leaked doc to be legit. It is much more detailed than the MT layout leaked. It shows the buildings, coasters and topography around it. It matches the plans in the station area precisely. The only way this is not legit, is if it's an intentional red herring thrown out by the park. But if that's the case, I think it would still be up.

I doubt the pdf resurfaces. Everyone talking about people getting sued has scared people off.

It's the whole lift. Widens out then quickly comes to a point. Take a look at aerials of most coasters and thats the lift layout. By all means, don't post them. Just PM them. lol
-
I don't have them either. Yet you were ok having someone send them to you? lol
-
Wellll..... I took the real plans and laid them over google maps of Leviathan and Fury. I used the transfer track for scale as that should be fairly uniform. The lift size at the scale lines up fairly well with Leviathan. It was clearly smaller than Fury. While it may be a bit early to claim doom and gloom, you may want to go ahead and put the pitchforks in your Amazon cart.

Something to remember before anyone spends a bunch of time trying to extrapolate data from the plans. We went through this with the MT plans. Many hours were spent. The data points lined up with the footers on the plans, but the reference point did not even appear to be on KI property. We never did come to an agreement on even where the point was. Also, the North on the plans was not true north. That threw us off for a while. The scale of the footers and the layout will be correct, but orientation and location is not going to be revealed by the new data. That being said I encourage anyone to try and crack the code. lol

I didn't. You could just pm it

The purple box is the storage shed and transfer table. Red is the station.

In all that analyzing of that piece, I never noticed the other end didn't have bolt holes. Nice catch. It also pretty much confirms the layout of the station area. That is confirmed. Midway Mayhem's pics had a closeup of a tag. It literally says Hersheypark on it.

Based on that, I'm thinking it's Brake run, turn, storage shed, transfer track, station, then lift. With the curved footers turning into the side like that, it's not likely to start with the station. The train would need to get straight first. It wouldn't need to be straight while next to the storage shed. Just a thought but:

Ah, I remember trying to figure out Mystic's location with that type of info. Fun times. I'd go myself, but am not close enough.
-
So you could draw a partial layout and post it then?

If not for the ride at CP, 357 Magnum would be a hell of a coaster name. It would have to be launched though.

Which Giga name will be coming to Kings Island
fryoj replied to Cedar Fair Fanboy's topic in KI Polls
They should pull out all the stops and make a Family Guy Coaster. -
Media has more pull than your average guy off the street. I want to say those were posted here before that as well, but it's a blur now.
-
OH, you want to see the plans to Permit #12392(R%238? Why didn't you say so? lol
-
It also says some records may be exempt or redacted. And that delves into the Ohio Revised Code. KI may has some sort of exemption for the content of their submissions.

They have to be submitted for approval before they can start work. On a project like this, they may have multiple stages like a mass grading plan, foundation plan, building plan, etc. They may not have to submit all of them prior to the start of work even if that's typically how its done in most construction. But they would have to have each plan approved before starting on that phase for sure. I'd guess that all the plans have been filed and approved though.

I almost didn't click on it. It was that much of a red flag. There is no reason to use a link shortener in this context. A lot of people would have given their Facebook login and password there if it said you need a Facebook account to see the blueprints. As for the permits not being online. The park probably something set up where their permits are hidden due to proprietary reasons. Universal has a set up like that.

the bit.ly was enough of a giveaway. That people are running with it without reading the user name is just an eye roller.
-
Theres no building or anything there now. Unless they are planning on storing the floats outside, they probably aren't going there.
-
IDK, you are frequently telling people to not waste their money....

Oh god. I just read that WCPO article. I cannot believe they put that mockup on there. I wonder how many people will think thats official art regardless what the story says.
