There are more supports near the first drop, and looks like maybe some track in that area too. Plus more track in the back field. But I agree, we should be seeing more deliveries soon. I think they probably drop clifford down when they are expecting high winds.
-
For it to be an inverted, the car would be attached directly to the carriage and would not swing.

One thing you can do to tell what they have accomplished, is to open the pic in two different windows. Refresh one of them a few minutes later, then click back and forth between the two. The changes, if any, become more apparent.

nice lol I didn't say they weren't put together, I just said I didn't see how that was going to work, but hey, they're the ones building the coaster, not me, so obviously they know what they're doing and I trust that they know what they're doing I was referring to how you said you were content with them just doing the loop today. ;-) But, The fog is coming and going. Some times its clear enough to see. Sometimes it's not. lol
-
Sorry kat, but the next support is done, and the two pieces they had put together are in the air. lol
-
They are lifting the next support now.
-
kat, are you just viewing the webcam through the visitkingsisland page or are you right clicking and looking at the image directly? By opening the image in a new window, you get a much bigger picture of it.
-
Looks like they have put together a couple pieces of track. I'd assume these are the next pieces for after the loop, but it doesn't look like they have the supports installed yet. Odd. Or an optical illusion i guess.
-
I'd think that if they tried this today, they could have some kind of sensor based thing where, at certain points of the track, it could lock the shocks on the car and prevent it from swaying. Once it was past the inversion, it could unlock the cars and let them sway again. Doubt we'd ever see that today, but I'd think the technology is there by now.

It's clearly not a ride trademark. Probably not a haunt trademark as none of the others are. An area in a park fits the trademark they filed. Does that mean its Action Zone? No, but it fits. Unless they've already used this name at another park.

Yeah it's dead for me too now. Didn't realize that site timed out searches. Try this one: http://www.trademarkia.com/amusement-dark-85883354.html

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4802:6pz83j.2.4 I don't think they trademarked that for nothing.

Liking at that area on the webcam, it looks like on side of those supports is taller than the other side. That tells me that the ground slopes there some. The low clearance picture may just be a case where perspective is creating an illusion of it being shorter than it really is.

http://cf.wddnsweb2.wddonline.net/_upload/pressreleases/082613%20-%20charlotte%20investment.pdf Well, the $50 million over the next three years will include the $30 million 300 ft roller coaster wouldn't you agree? And mine was clearly stated as a guess and not a statement of fact, much like your guess of a 100 ft tall observation tower. But if it's not 2015, it'll be 2016 based on what Cedar fail themselves have released or told the city council.

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/09/18/4323933/new-carowinds-ride-to-be-70-feet.html#.UmqsOijGPN- While it doesn't mention the gate redo(that is assumed based on the land purchases they made) it does confirm the 300 ft tall coaster. Unless you are suggesting CF lied to the city council.
-
Carowinds is supposed to be getting a gate redo and a 300 foot coaster in the next couple years. Very well possible they will start building it next season for the 2015 season and Centurion will be its name.
-
This could be our 2015 attraction. Repaved parking lots. But I would love to see some kind of shuttle from the front gate to the Soak City gate. Nothing like parking at Soak City in the morning, going into the park in the afternoon, then not making it back through Soak City before it closes.

Queue will be here:
-
Looks they have the pieces of track for the exit of the lift loop lined up for first thing tomorrow.
-
It looks as though they may be hanging track on the bottom of the dive loop, but the resolution makes it tough to tell for sure.
-
But as you flip over for the dive loop, you will be going towards the midway so objects lost at that point should continue their forward motion and fly that way. There is also the intentional factor as riders could throw things at that point. That happened at Islands of Adventure on Dueling Dragons/Dragon challenge and they stopped "dueling" the two rides because of objects from one train hitting riders on the other train. My guess is we will see a net at that point of the ride sooner or later.
-
I guess I meant to say all the supports they can put up. The angle on those loop supports are going to require the track be put up at pretty much the same time. They would probably freestand, but would put a lot of stress in the footer without the track to help support it.
-
The last support for the dive loop is up. At this point they have all the supports till after the lift loop in place.
-
I'd assume that is has something to do with something greg or don tweeted a while back where they said that the supports had to be grouted. I'm guessing they will shoot grout in between the support and footer to fill the footer hole. This will further help bond the two together.

It is not in the way. This construction company builds coasters all the time, I think they will be good. The only thing I see them doing is starting at the bottom of the dive loop, and building backward up to the top of the dive loop. There is at least one section of track on the top of the inversion that does not have supports. You pretty much said the same thing I did. Put the bottom of the dive loop in before the top of the dive loop. And regardless how many coasters they have built, cranes lift vertically. The top of the dive loop is over top of the bottom of the dive loop. If they placed the top of the dive loop before the bottom, it would be in the way of crane access. Not saying there aren't ways to do it, but it would make more sense this way.
