  1. Yes, yes and yes. Don't even get me started on the funnel cake creations I've concocted. I fear no coasters at KI but the sweets are a different story
  2. The place looks great with waaaaaay to many temptations. Last time in they kept trying to force feed me fudge samples. Lol....I don't need no samples to know it's delicious.
  3. Obviously........a POS system.
  4. My older sister. If I didn't ride she would have beat the crap out of me.....literally.
  5. The service dog relief area has been upgrade with new sod, concrete pathway & curbing.
  6. The only Beir Garten bar food choices this year are basically "backdoor Hank's" nachos or tacos. Alternatively you could have turkey legs from the grill which is not in that area. The park maps are no longer folder. The shows and dining plans have a separate flyer.
  7. jcgoble3, Kinda random but......was walking past Shake, Rattle & Roll Friday night and noticed it starting a cycle with riders on board but it never lifted. Once it started to slow I noticed you sitting, upright with arms crossed and sporting a very displeased face. Either the randomness or the mere look on your face got me laughing so hard I couldn't stop, lol. Just wanted to tell ya. Thanks for the laugh and sorry you didn't get your ride.
  8. Rivertown LaRosa's Pizza does not have Yuengling on tap this year. On a good note.....Rivertown Potato Works has beer back on tap after mysteriously disappearing late last year.
  9. Not to be a stickler but I don't consider Thunderbird to be "the world's first launched wing coaster". Either way, good luck and wish I could help but it'll be the end of May before I get a ride.
  10. I was told to ride in seat 4-2, so that's where I sat, and she ran incredibly well.....just as good as last year and if I'm not mistaken I also spotted some new wood in a few areas.
  11. Agonizingly slow moving line......that was my experience.
  12. I was offered a receipt on every purchase made so I can't directly attest to that issue but it would seem to me that refusal would violate some type of legality. And as mentioned above....the Souvenir Cup is the same price in park vs online for pass holders.
  13. Magenta....that is pretty much the same situation I observed while waiting in line. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out over the season. So same as last year......I was hoping it would have been opened up to everybody meaning they had exhausted all possible revenue indicating a future removal. Not that I don't like it but once through is enough for me so I personally would like to see something new in that area.
  14. That is the turkey legs grill that was located at the entrance of Hank's but is now move to the Bier Garten patio.
  15. Few quick impressions..... - The turnout for Friday night was larger than I had expected given the stipulations for entry. Makes me wonder if that was being enforced or if it was open to all pass holders regardless. - The new additions really looked nice and having the surrounding areas with new concrete laid is a major plus. Maybe one of these days we'll see a Kings Island without any asphalt pathways.......[/dreaming] - The landscaping seemed to be addition by subtraction. Many overgrown bushes were either removed or heavily trimmed to give a much cleaner appearance. The removal of the defunct fountain in Tower Gardens is another example. - Upset I didn't get to ride Woodstock Gliders. Stood in line twice but bailed after seeing little to zero movement. Not sure if it was just the long lines, slow operations or low capacity but I really hope this improves as the season progresses. - Saturday + nice weather + opening day = extremely large crowds which suits me better for people watching than actually standing in long lines to ride. Glad I got most of them in on Friday night. - I hate to say it but operations in general seemed sub-par at best. Again, maybe it was just working out the start of season kinks but one would think with proper training it would not be an issue. Some of the associates I encountered literally seemed to be doing there job for the very first time. Question..... - Is Dinosaurs Alive! free with a paid admission? I noticed an increased dino presence at the front gate and new signage highlighting the term "free" but never got close enough to read the fine print. Not sure if it was stating pass holders or everybody. Side note...... - Breakfast Club Cafe in Lebanon is pure awesomeness. My corned beef hash breakfast was outstanding!!
  16. Good choice. My trams memory......mom & dad being so mad at my impatience to wait for the trams going in that we would end up walking but at the end of the day being so dead tired they were the best ride in the park.
  17. That local morning show has more cheese than my favorite Marsh store.
  18. This is correct. We had 2014 Gold passes and purchased 2015 Platinum passes that included the renewal befefits. Hope that answers your upgrade/renewal question.
  19. In fairness to KK and the posted interview that is by far the worst station in the Louisville market. Only time I watch it.......when I need a good laugh.
  20. *slow golf clap* Your KI opinions are spot on. CP....staying at one of the resorts? Not dealing with parking/front gate? Yeah, that's a pretty good time.
  21. Lol I'm the exact opposite. Ours are stored away in a large safe. Weird......I know. The good part is I'm not searching this time of year
