Actually, Afterburn at Great America needed parts of the final helix replaced after the first season, if I remember correctly.
-
They were boards used to allow cranes and fork lifts to navigate over the terrain. There were also wires strewn about under the first drop.

What Kings Island roller coaster do you want RMCed or GCIed?

You can’t. They would need to rebuild the ride for them. -
They can’t do that. Entirely different rides. Furthermore, the fact they are using heavy machinery leads me to deduce it’s not a part issue.
-
Same here. Furthermore, there are boards all over the area by the first drop.
-
Technology has rapidly advanced since 2013-2014.
-
If they got a new one, they can build an LED screen. You could play videos on it.
-
Plus, wasn’t the current marquee built after the other one got hit by a wind event during the Paramount years? I’m asking that because if they got a new one, they could attach an LED screen.
-
I’m thinking they’re redesigning the drop off lot. Currently lot and park traffic are mixed, and as seen last year and this year a car dropping off a passenger at KI likely ends up stuck in the traffic heading directly to the park and that’s a problem.
-
As I was driving into KI today, I saw markers all around the Marquee Sign (sprays nearby and on its electrical boxes). Furthermore, there are sprays on the berm 20 yards away. Im curious if they’re going to relocate or replace the marquee. Thoughts?

They’re not sold out.
-
I’m sure the mods on this site would not like one of their users having this kind of attitude towards an enthusiast who has spent countless hours collecting and restoring KI history.
-
I’m not projecting guilt. You proved my point exactly. If you got caught up in the drones and associated with you know who, how many other teens and kids will do the same? That’s what my argument is.
-
I’d rather be a nuisance and ensure the safety of the community. I don’t expect the KIC mods to keep everyone safe, but this is an unusual time and it’s best to keep on our toes. All I’m trying to do is keep members of the community safe. I hope nobody disagrees with my view.
-
First part, no it isn’t. We have accounts run by offenders, the OVC situation, and other sexual harassment cases in the last few months. I’m sorry but how is that a safe community? I never said anything about Invertigo. No hearsay stories are stated on the site. I remember the mods and users on this site were laughing at the conclusion that the new drainage systems by The Beast meant a Giga was on its way. How can one report to admins and mods, if they’re slapped with warning points, temporarily banned, all over reporting someone’s criminal actions?
-
If that end goal of keeping members in the community safe makes you upset, then I don’t know what to tell you.
-
How can this be a safe site, when some members are actively preventing the truth about certain accounts run by shady individuals? All of the information in my claim was verified with sourced public information that I presented in my post. Clarification: a media channel that was cited by this site frequently was identified to be run by a person with a criminal record. I posted the info to allow KIC members to make an informed decision, and to ensure the safety of members on this site.

Coney is done after this season IMO
gforce1994 replied to coaster sally's topic in Coney Island Central

Were all the trains on the Coney coasters 4x3 row bench trains?
-
I noticed that while riding it. I believe it is only 35 degrees on the other copies.
-
Plus it used to head out into the woods. I think the design in the illustration/map would have really given an impression like The Beast today (lift hill going into the woods).
-
So in the conceptual map provided in the last Coney Island brochure, there is a concept for KI that is similar to what was nearly built, but there are notable differences - one of them being The Racer. Unlike The Racer we have today, The Racer has it's lift hill on the outside of the ride, with a curving drop similar to the Wild One at SFA. The ride from there is basically The Racer but travelled in reverse. I recreated this version in NL2. Thoughts? The one thing I like about this concept is that the exit as depicted could have served a double purpose, with it also providing the means to an access road for maintenance.
