  1. Kentucky Kingdom truly makes me want to go there in a Speedo, breastfeed a baby while sitting in a wheelchair. The visual is disturbing. Thankfully, I can only do two out of three things.
  2. It's probably going to increase attendance to KK. I don't think it's just enthusiasts who would do such a thing either. KK needs to step it up at all cost. While the whole family struggles have put some negative light on HW, people can relate to that family so it's not destroying the park. Who hasn't had a huge family drama develop in their family? People still go to that park, still have a good time in a very family friendly environment. Free soft drinks, free sun screen without a bunch of riff raff.
  3. After my griping of all things KK has done (or not done) as far as publicity, I am very pleased with how much publicity HW has drawn to this announcement. I am excited about the announcement. I reread the hints today. I was pretty set that it was going to be a wing coaster until I reread the hints. I have rode one wing coaster which was Gatekeeper. I am not a fan. It's sluggish to me. I have rode two flyers, both are Vekomas. It is not that I dislike the ride itself, it's more the low capacity that bothers me. I would hope they have a vision for expansion on the dry side of HW. I am hoping that they will bring something with more of a wow factor to it and capacity would be something they take into consideration. Zach mentioned to me that I have not rode a B&M flyer. So I watched a POV of Manta today. That looks like a fun coaster. I think that could bring something more unique to HW and to this area. Just because I hate to agree with him I will guess it will be a wing coaster because I think that can be more family oriented (so many references in the hints to children makes me think that). He's probably right though. I just hope it's fun.
  4. Oh don't let Princess Sparkles hear that comparison.
  5. He's a good kid. He reminds me of my son when he was his age so many years ago.
  6. Terpy, it was a good time. Even in the rain. After two very rainy rides on Banshee that night and then it being closed down after our last ride, I heard an individual returned today to finish what we started to accomplish that night. I don't see that he's posted it but glad he texted me to tell me. I shoulda went and picked him up last night.
  7. He texted me about something so I asked. Maybe you should show up and help him out!
  8. Don't know if he can post on here right now, but according to OhioColts: Banshee is about 20 min. Dback probably the same. Fof prob 30, Firehawk maybe 15. Most othes should be less than 10. Edit: He also says the park is getting busier. Vortex has a line.
  9. I am thankful for tact on Terpy's part. Lol
  10. I started gaining weight when I was on medication for anxiety and depression. Well done on getting help. That's hard to do. I have been off my meds for a couple of years now. I did not think I could get "well" enough to get off the meds. I know I am absolutely blessed that I have gotten to this point. I do want to add, some people have other issues than what I have. Some may have chemical imbalances creating the life time need to be on medication. The cause of my anxiety and depression was due to a family crisis, it was classified as situational anxiety and depression. July 25 marks the 11th year of the start of changes in my life. It was the day I stood up for my family and got my voice. Please note: I got extensive therapy (years of it) prior to going off my meds. Never take yourself off medications for anxiety and / or depression without consulting your doctor 1st. Sorry to go on like that, just thought it might be an encouragement to know you're not alone.
  11. Goble ya' ought to know better than to ask a question like that. Hahahaha The building is coming along nicely. It's much larger than I had first thought it would be.
  12. The athleticism in the show is really amazing. The young man in Hand2Hand is strong. What a great compliment to the young lady that performs with him.
  13. I have not rode TTD, but I know Millennium Force was the only ride I was close to not fitting in easily. The seats are not very forgiving at all. I had better success on the right side (loafing side) on Millie. Wicked Twister fits snugly. Make sure you are sitting all the way back. You might have to cross your legs at your ankles to stretch out your body a little more. If you're short it's a pain to jump up into. It's hard to lose weight when you are on meds or have other health related things going on that prevent you from being as active as you could be to exercise effectively. I finally have my health issues at bay and am very active weight is coming off slowly. However, slow weight loss is far better than a quick weight loss. Great job on the progress you've made.
  14. Turkeys are flying? Perhaps it's a WKRP themed ride, "as God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." (Possibly the funniest single episode ever on tv.)
  15. Baby Shark! We'd love to meet him. Considering how hot it was I did not find the crowds to be horrible. It seemed like most crews were trying hard to keep lines moving. I think 20 minutes was about the longest line we waited in.
  16. Never feel horrible. Family always comes first in my opinion. The group that Aaron was with is out of Cloverdale, Indiana. It's about 45 minutes south west of Indianapolis. There were 24 campers, 8 workers and the couple that runs the camp. We ended up meeting most of them. .
  17. It's ok. We actually were heading to meet up with a young man we know from church. He's been working at a camp and we've not seem him. He's an amazing young man and one of my daughters best friends. This young man is proof you can have the not so ideal life situation and can make opportunities for yourself when you make right choices. We've had the pleasure of meeting a lot of campers and workers. It's been an amazing day.
  18. I hope the produce a DVD. Katie (Princess Sparkles) and a clown during the opening. She's very happy. These guys are fun! Guess it's fitting since it's FUN!
  19. Second show today. Second time I've seen people with cameras filming the show. Interesting.
  20. She was very cute even though she was shy (and obviously a bit frightened.) nice meeting you too.
  21. I think I saw a shark!
  22. We are two trains from riding. I am in a black, gray and white striped tank top. My daughter has a black top on with long brown hair. I have a feeling she will put it up in a pony tail soon.
  23. Where are you?! We are almost to the station.
  24. Here at the park. It's hot but not terribly busy. Says 30 min for The Beast. If anyone is here and wants to meet up let us know.
