I love Banshee. Raptor to me is boring. The only thing I prefer Raptor over Banshee is how it "howls" as it's running. It's has a really awesome sound. I strongly prefer Patriot at Worlds of Fun over Raptor. It's a sweet ride. I enjoy Diamondback as well. I love the front row best (mostly because of the view of the first drop.) Millie, in my opinion is similar to Diamondback and cannot say I prefer one over the other. I've been to Cedar Point a few times now and find it mediocre. There are other amusement parks I love more than CP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Typically on Racer, ride ops feel the need to push bars in and staple you. I know "why" they do it, they are trained to measure between their thumb and pinky, but when you have larger hands, common sense should prevail. I had shown one kid that my fingers had more than an inch clear and he shoved the restraint down one more. Then when I complained told me I need to push the bar in so they could release it to adjust it. (It was not possible for me to push in to release because it was too tight.) Plus when I complain, it's down two clicks and I can *still* ride (with comfort) which just emphasizes they knew I was ok to ride in the first place. I rode this ride far more comfortably before I started losing weight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At Six Flags St Louis, they thank riders for riding whatever ride they are on and suggest another ride on the park. However, the ride op on Boomerang encouraged riders to try Superman who had riders stuck near the top. I noticed when we were waiting in line for Pandemonium they used an automated spiel. The line moved pretty fast for what appears to be a lower capacity ride. There was minimal guest interaction, but was still pleasant. I may have mentioned this before, but a number of ride ops at Kings Island (I heard it most frequently at The Bat) saying the name of another Cedar Fair park and the name of another ride. That is truly annoying to me. Hopefully that has been put to a stop by this point in the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I always let parents go ahead. However, I will typically have my daughter come back to me if we get separated in line. There have been many times if I yell up at her to wait, people let me pass to catch up with her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Six Flags New England's Cyclone Closing

During the challenge for CoasterMania on Mean Streak, Tony joked about the reason for the challenge is just to get people to ride. I personally did not find it too rough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I am single and conquered the fear of going out alone. It's simple to do if you really want to do it. Start with grabbing a book (if you like to read) and get coffee some place. It's weird at first, but love time alone at times. My daughter goes to camp every July and I rarely make plans with others. It's my time to have down time. One suggestion if you are going to do things alone, let someone you know, know where you are going. It's best to be safe. Going out to grab a soda may not require a call to a friend, but if you are going to go to Kings Island alone just let someone know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great trip report. Sorry it took me so long to read it. Korbin looked like he was super tired by the time we got to the park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As many of you know, I love the organization A Kid Again. A Kid Again is an amazing organization and Kings Island will be hosting the annual event on July 10. Some of the people you meet can and will change your life. July 10, 2012 was the day I met Amber and her daughter KK. These two gals changed my life. It's astounding seeing families with children facing illness that are often life threatening without complaint and with smiles on their faces. It's probably one of the most fun days you can have at the park. I don't know that I can get off work all day, but will be going at least part of the day. Amber and KK will be there and my daughter will get to meet them this time. (Plus it's Princess Sparkles actual birthday! July 10 has been a very special day for nearly 17 years!) Thank you Kings Island for your generosity for this organization. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lorax's Worlds of Fun / Six Flags St Louis 6/21-22, 2014

We rode all the coasters. I did not find Ninja painful at all and I was hypersensitive to pain that day. I don't recall which ones we sat in (4-2 or 5-2 for me maybe?). Boomerang is the only coaster I am not a fan of. I don't care for those types of rides. I hate how I feel after the ride. I did not like the one at WoF either. I prefer the trains on those two over the trains on Invertigo. I really want to go back and spend a full day at the park. I really want to ride more of the flats. Excalibur was a great ride. The only other Six Flags park I had been to prior to SFStL was Kentucky Kingdom. I was not impressed at all with KK under Six ownership. SFStL, however, I enjoyed tremendously. WoF is definitely worth going to. I do wish Cedar Fair would give it some TLC. The pavement needs redone in a lot of the park. Paint in some spots would be nice, too. Love the lay out of the park and would love to go back. We did not do the water park. I rarely will do a water park as I just do not like them. Theming was decent and the park was clean, even the restrooms. I will say Patriot is a far better ride than Raptor (can't remember if I mentioned that.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The graveyard is easily viewed. It's located under Batman, The Ride. It's actually along where those who buy a Flash Pass would walk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
This made me laugh. I am positive he's been counting down the days for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lorax's Worlds of Fun / Six Flags St Louis 6/21-22, 2014

But wait! There's more! Six Flags St Louis. Rainy days at amusement parks never get me down! We arrived at the park on the tail end of storm and rain #3 for the day. Yikes! Glad it's included with our Six Flags passes. We processed passes as we walked in the gate AT the gate. They use a finger print system. Scan the print out then take the finger print and we were done. We had to go have parking added to our cards at another area, but that was fairly quick. We waited in line for about 45 minutes for The Boss. So it went from rain to Sunshine just after we had our passes processed and got in line. Quite the welcome if you ask me! This was the longest line all day. Almost everything else was walk on or two trains max. The Boss is a decent ride. I will reserve my review of most of the coasters though until my next visit. After riding Timberwolf the previous day, I was still dealing with a headache and tensed up a whole lot on several rides. We did see three deer while riding The Boss though. This was my favorite ride at the park. Mr. Freeze. Shoots you like FoF, but backwards. It's a fun ride. Not crazy about this ride or this color scheme. Loved this! Excalibur. Beastie1980 Really loved this one as well. All effects were working as were the guns. For my No Chickens. Remnants of past rides at other parks. Advantages to this park are people that are not tiny can fit comfortably in the rides. Loved the theming for rides as well. Princess Sparkles. Princess Sparkles has turned into Mike Wazowski. Down time on a trip equals selfies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The seat belts have a lot of give. If you fit the ride you should still be comfortable with the seat belt on. Also, after going to Worlds of Fun and Six Flags St. Louis, there was not one seat that I did not fit comfortably in. Still trying to lose weight, but wanted to make mention of that. We almost went to SFGAm this weekend, but it was cheaper to get our Six Flags passes in St. Louis. Looking forward to riding Goliath, but provably not until August. I heard about the numbering system and wonder how long it will last or if this is just a temporary thing they will do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well it's not looking promising. You only turn 17 once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's not likely we will be at the park that day as we initially planned. Other surprise birthday celebration plans are in the works. So excited and she does not have a clue! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know this next week will be crazy. I am doing this so I can at least get part of it done. We were up and out of my place at 3:01 this morning. We had a fairly uneventful trip minus finding out a gas stations restroom facilities were not in working order. Sometimes you gotta save trees. One thing that was discovered a couple weeks ago is there is apparently chewy ice. It's hit the Midwest. Not sure wuh it's chewy vs crunchy. We got to Worlds of Fun about 10:30. One thing I really like is they has employees directing people where to park. The park is not a huge park by any means, but it's named appropriately. This park is indeed a world of fun. First ride was Prowler. It's a very nice coaster. Zach and I rode the back seat of the second train of the day. Katie and Melissa rode front seat. For the record it does not say "do not climb" and Melissa was an ape in Tarzan. Boomerang. It's pretty much like Invertigo like Kings Island with different trains. I do not like the color scheme. I have to say I like it better than Invertigo. Next came Mamba. Thanks to the previous occupants of the seat, they rode in a seat that had a protein spill. Spinning Dragon I really like, but love Steel Dragon at Waldameer much more. Patriot is a great ride. It's not as great as Banshee. It is far better than Raptor in my opinion. This was the only disappointment is Timberwolf. It's the worst coaster I have ever ridden. Katie hit her 50th ride on Mamba. Melissa hit 50 on Timberwolf. My favorite pic of the girls. For Dee and Rick - wish you all would have been able to make it you would love it. Final ride during the daytime was Thunderhawk. I think we broke the ride. I hope it's operational tonight. Going to take a nap and head back to the park until midnight. More to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mantis and King Cobra I found painful. The only stand up coaster I have rode that I have enjoyed is Chang. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Invertigo is my least favorite. I get a headache that typically turns into a migraine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really wish the train at KI had theming like CP. It would not have to be the same, but it would be really cool if they did! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
LoraX replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Last week we were at Conneault and someone was talking about the changes that were in the works. With the current state of the park, it truly seemed far fetched and dismissed what he was saying. Hope they can bring things together. Would love to see this park brought back to life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
