Don't get me wrong. I want a giga and I want it to be as tall as it can be, but are record-breakers the only thing that brings you to the park? Last year, I lost my father, and things haven't exactly been going smoothly lately. The two times I've been to the park this have year, I have felt whole. I didn't even ride very many rides, I just enjoyed being there and having fun, trying to make the most out of every day. I doubt this coaster being below or above 300ft will take that away from me.

I think it would be fun if they included another mystery thing in the same vein as the shed.

Ugh, WCPO... seriously? *facepalm*

While waiting in line for Mystic Timbers this morning, I had the most obnoxious group of guys behind me. They were loud, racist, making sexist comments about the (probably underage) girls in the line, shouting the N word, fatshaming people, talking about their "size," and one of them, the one who looked like he owns the "Free Candy" van from the other thread, was going on about how "sexy" he was.

Don't go in the fountain. I repeat, don't go in the fountain --- go in the fountain! Go in the fountain!

Hands down, that is my favorite Metallica track. Orion would be the perfect name for X-Base. The ride could be themed around the first man-made vessel with FTL capabilities, which was built using the technology found in FoF's UFO.

@ohiocoasterfan Hey, it's free there. Have all the tasty beverages you want! Um, Wally World, of course!

Free Pepsi and a bountiful Thanksgiving feast for $13? As far as I'm concerned, it is on the map.

I'd buy a vintage-style Racer shirt in a heartbeat.

I liked the Big Bacon when I ate the Brewhouse. But I get the sense that it is intended as a different experience from the rest. The majority of the diners at the park cater to the needs of an amusement park: high traffic, fast food. Personally, I haven't had any food at the park that was below McDonalds' quality*, and I really have enjoyed the past several dining installations (Chicken Shack, Smokehouse, Coney BBQ, Brewhouse). For me, I think the issue is price. IMO, the Big Bacon was worth $14, but a number of meals at the park aren't. If the park charged a more reasonable price for two slices of pizza and a breadstick, people may feel less inclined to complain. Another thing that might help is the park offered traditional amusement park food, such as corn dogs and hot dogs, for reasonable prices. *Although LaRosa's at the park is well below LaRosa's stellar quality.

That is a great observation. I am not sure if that is anything more than a tribute to the ride that once sat in that spot, but I do like Zodiac as the name.

Apart from X-Base, I've always seen Racer as "the edge of park." It'll be interesting to see how it'll look with a new coaster overshadowing it.
-
Perhaps it will be this year's new Haunt maze. "Line of Screams." Or better yet, Keggers or Cauldrons!

That's only what they have on draft. According to the bartender on Preview Night, the selection is supposed to change periodically. They have bottled selections, as well. For example, I had a black cherry-flavored hard seltzer. I am not sure why those are not included on the menu.

I was stuck in the shed for over five minutes last year. Something was going on with the ride that morning and it was taking longer for them to send trains out. I ended up hearing both "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Cars" play out.

I would love to see more throwback shirts in general, especially for defunct rides.

It is really sparse for a blog post. I think it would be better served as a Facebook/Instagram post. Otherwise, it could use some extra details. Did she personally speak with guests at the park? If so, what are their names, where are they from? If, let's say, Ashley, mother of two, came all the way up from Michigan and dug those tater tots, that would give some credence to the sensationalism of this post, as well as a little tribute to the guests.

It's a lazy river surrounding Coney BBQ, a revolutionary new dining experience.

Wait, is "Giga Flat" an actual term? (D'oh!)
-
Or perhaps, a Giga Flat?
-
Probably both. It was a chance to offer guests a once in a lifetime opportunity while also a fun way to promote the park. I'm sure there are plenty of enthusiasts who'd be willing to do this. Now how many of these couples are still married, that is the question..

I apologize. I shouldn't have used the word "dimwitted," and I certainly didn't mean to imply (nor did I say) KIC members were as such, as I was speaking from my own experiences, as well as the experiences people have shared with me. My intent was to say that most people complain about people every day at their jobs, that it is not that big of a deal, was said in private and probably in jest, and someone shouldn't necessarily be fired for it as implied.
-
People rarely get fired for poking fun of obnoxious customers when it is behind closed doors. As long as they're professional in public, who cares?
-
I took a dramatic liberty in my wording. I feel like that was obvious. But maybe it wasn't the best choice of words. At the time I wrote it, I was thinking about how someone was suggesting KI employees should be fired for privately complaining about obnoxious customers, as well as the fact that every day, I see someone complaining about something (a new Star Wars movie, a Kingdom Hearts video game, Ghostbusters) and claiming someone (like Kathleen Kennedy) should be fired for it. So, yes, blood. EDIT: Perhaps I should clarify. My "blood" comment was more or less a generalization of internet outrage as a whole. It wasn't centered on KIC nor was it directed specifically to you, Phantom Theater. I apologize for the confusion.

Respectfully, lawyers do this. Doctors do this. I guarantee almost everyone here does this. And when fans start demanding blood over a couple pedestals, can you really blame them?
