  1. A guest yelling at KI employees should be grounds for removal from the park. No matter how long you waited in line, no matter how stale your food is, no matter how privileged you think you are because you "spent good money to be here," it is not okay to act this way.
  2. The Addams Family ride, for me, is the biggest "what if" of the Paramount Parks era. Not only do I love those movies, but I grew up with reruns of both The Addams Family and The Munsters, as well as Scooby Doo, Casper, Tales From the Crypt, Amazing Stories, Eerie Indiana, and anything else creepy, kooky, and spooky. Along with movies being my one true addiction, I would have eaten it up. I never quite understood why we never had rides designed after Mission: Impossible and Star Trek, but I guess it's all moot now.
  3. As far as KI-themed merchandise goes, a lot of the shirts have incredible designs. It's the faded look on the fabric that turns me off. However, the tie dye Mystic Timbers, the Peanuts watching the fireworks, and Banshee by way of The Grudge poster are the best shirt designs I've seen in the park. However, I'm on the lookout for a good Beast shirt. Now that I've finally seen photos of the arcade, meh. It looks alright. Hopefully, they will do more work to it next year.
  4. I'll be honest, I pay very little attention to the employees. The general public compile most, if not all of my gripes. People who smell, drop F-bombs in Planet Snoopy, cut in line, take centuries to order their food, act like 40/50-year old manbabies and make scenes over minor inconveniences, etc. That's not to say I don't have complaints about the food, such as the inconsistent portions at Coney BBQ and the complete non-LaRosas quality of LaRosas.
  5. The shirt designs are great, but there is something about the quality of fabric used. They often look like faded, secondhand thrift shirts for premium prices. There are a few exceptions, of course. Assuming you're talking about the employees' dress code, I don't mind seeing tattoos, as long as they don't look like prison tattoos.
  6. I wouldn't call an arcade "trashy." I mean, it's not like they've turned it into a "Cash 4 Gold" place. I haven't seen what this looks like yet, but I'm okay with it being an arcade. If I'm not mistaken, you can get most, if not all the same shirts at the nearest shop.
  7. I have been looking for more information on AE's original effects, but can't seem to find a whole lot. Wasn't there supposed to be lava effect at one point? Up until a few years ago, Cedar Fair continued to play a small portion of Raiders of the Lost Ark score in the queue. The track is "The Idol Temple."
  8. My first thought was "that poor lady." She must be so embarrassed right now. :/
  9. They're for He Who Walks Behind the Rows.
  10. I'd love organ music in Coney Mall, but it best belongs on a specific former ride that needs to make a comeback.
  11. I'd rather have classic rock and oldies in the Coney Mall, with contemporary rock/hip hop in Action Zone and X-Base.
  12. I'm loving the film music on International Street.
  13. Hmm... I will look into those. Last I looked at my local Walmarts, none of the shorts had zippered pockets. I will check them again.
  14. On second thought, I think the concept of a Texas Roadhouse type restaurant fits Rivertown better with its country music, southern atmosphere. International Restaurant should stay international.
  15. Thanks for the suggestion! The ones in the Amazon link are the style I am looking for.
  16. I have been on the lookout for a good pair of cargo shorts. I currently only have one pair with a zippered pocket. I get by with them, but they are camo and go down too far. Anyone know where I can find just a normal, plain colored pair of shorts with zippered pockets?
  17. Topping off an excellent day at the park with a steak dinner? I'm in!
  18. That's the problem I run into a lot. I found out I was diabetic last year, sorta at the park actually. Diet Coke is all throughout the park, but Freestyle machines give us diabetics a lot more options and control. I always have that fear that in all the chaos, the associate might not hear the word "Diet."
  19. This brings me back to when the park had dolphins and lions.
  20. That explains it. I have been riding The Beast since the early 90s and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. At first, I thought it broke down.
  21. Rode The Beast today. It stopped at the top of the lift hill. A voice came on saying they were "restarting" it. This is a first for me, but my cousin said it happened to him last week. Could anyone elaborate on why they had to do this?
  22. Is it possible these songs have been added to Racer Radio?
  23. Hmm.. Perhaps my experience was just a momentary thing. I am not sure how The Racer's queue music works. Is it a stream or a CD? Could the employees have switched to another stream for whatever reason?
  24. Has the music on The Racer changed? When I rode yesterday, instead of rockin' the fun, classic rock songs, they were playing the same, bland, boring, forgettable songs you hear waiting in line for your groceries at Wal-Mart.
