Delirium accident?
^It all started with that Magnum XL200 at Cedar Point is sinking. People believed it because they cannot dig too deep as they would meet the water table. But, fortunately, they never have to dig that deep.

Screaming Demon
^Don't forget The Bat; the first suspended coaster in the world. Even though the Thunderbolt Express was not the best coaster at Camden Park, it fit in quite nicely was good for a change of pace. Twas the only steel coaster they've had. I'd like to see them get another one like it.

Lap Bars
^Impressive. I want one.

I wish
It does look good now, but I do miss that ivy tunnel. That was a good place to cool off.

IJST
I know that I read here at this web site that the stair effect has never been on. Not saying you're not right, but, I thought it had been that way since day one. I didn't think the fishtailing was working either. I've seen another coaster with the same effect, Mr. Six's Pandemonium, and the car turns considerably and I know it didn't do that. According to RCDB, Revenge of the Mummy was 40 mill. You might be thinking of Expedition Everest, which will run 100 mill. Revenge of the Mummy Expedition Everest

Vortex
^Yes, I agree. Someone fill me in on this.

IJST
Not what I heard. The staircase thing is never on, from what I understand, because it goes too fast in that section. Is the stair thingy supposed to be where that partially tunneled section is?

New Ride in 2006
Sorry, won't happen. Not a family ride.

New Ride in 2006
You're right ghost, I forgot about the Addams Family. But after that, then what?

The Best non coaster at pki
Delirium with Drop Zone as a close 2nd. I still have to be prodded to ride Drop Zone. One of the only rides that still scares the heck out of me. I haven't been scared by a coaster in years, not even Dragster.

IJST Reproduces?
So, where's the fourth IJ:ST coaster going to? I only heard the one that is being installed at PKD. That only makes three. Is PGA or PC getting one? I think mainly the reason that coasters are cloned is people from Canada, Virginia, California, or North Carolina generally aren't going to come to PKI. Some of the general public may not even know there already is an ItalIan Job coaster at another park. Or, perhaps they do, but don't want to travel eight or more hours to ride it.

Screaming Demon
"It was the first coaster that I went on that went upside down." Me too. Not only that, but the first coaster I rode that went backwards. I didn't think that it was an uncomfortable ride. It kinda sucked cause you waited about two hours to ride a very short coaster. Plus, climbing all of those stairs.

Delirium accident?
Thank God Admiral Ackbar was there to sniff out the trap.

New Ride in 2006
Yeah Ryan, it just seems to me that they are going to try to theme every ride to some kind of movie. My problem with that is, there are zero good Paramount movies left. Any Paramount movie worth using already has been. So, I'm sure they'll pick some movie that did decent, like Italian Job.

Delirium accident?
No, no, you guys have it all wrong. The cotton candy guy told me that some guy was in the restricted area around Deli when it was in full swing. Apparently, the gondola took his head off which was then kicked by an employee over to the basketball game where it was given as a prize. Hope that clears it up for you.

Campgrounds?
It's also been rumored that the campground may make a come back, but in a different location. Obviously, with the growing interest in these types of places to stay, it is a very smart move on their part. It gets people to stay there year round, which you cannot say that for the campground.

Vortex
They guy who works the cotton candy cart told him so. So, it must be true!

Lap Bars
Not cost effective either. Why make million dollar modifications to a coaster that old, especially when it won't improve its' rideability?
-
Vortex
I was about to say, what second lift hill? But, you're talking about the MCBR. Vortex won't get new trains. Too expensive for such an old ride. The reason it was done to FOF was to make it rideable.

New Ride in 2006
Castaway Bay was added to attract year round visitors, not specifically to CP. CP already has a resort feel with Hotel Breakers, the Campground, and Lighthouse Point. I will give PKI credit for trying, but that doesn't make them great attractions. So, what other Paramount movie will be the next one themed to? I can't think of one single good one.
-
New Ride in 2006
Ummm, Castaway Bay is not going to attract more visitors to Cedar Point. It wasn't meant to. And I disagree with you, joker. IJ, TR, boring. If I want real theming, I'll go to Disney or Universal, not PKI. Paramount doesn't have any good movies left to theme to, so now you get a bunch of rides themed after crappy movies. And just because some of us don't like some of their recent installations doesn't mean we can't voice our opinions. This is not kisspki'sbutt.com, in case you hadn't noticed.

IJST
IJ:ST = Mediocre. PKIboy, that sucks about the stairs. Wonder if the fish tailing will ever happen?

Very Very Very Stupid question
^You mean B&M uses the term cobra roll for the same thing Arrow calls a boomerang. Not being picky, just Arrow existed long before B&M. I still don't think that they are the same inversion as they do not do the same thing, as I pointed out in my earlier post.
-
New Ride in 2006
You are right FOF1996. We can expect more heavily themed, boring coasters for the next 20 years. Although, IMO, there are no more Paramount movies left worth theming anything to. So, they will probably use some crappy Paramount movie that you won't remember in five years.

Very Very Very Stupid question
I assure you that Vortex's last inversion is called a boomerang. This is a boomerang This is a cobra roll A boomerang goes in to a half corkscrew, then half loop, then another half loop, then a final corkscrew. A cobra roll goes in to a half loop, half corkscrew, half corkscrew, then a final half loop. They are not the same thing.
